Elizabeth Ann Hulette (November 19, 1960 – May 1, 2003), best known as Miss Elizabeth, was an American professional wrestling manager and occasional professional wrestler. She gained international fame from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s in the World Wrestling Federation, and the mid-1990s in World Championship Wrestling in her role as the manager to wrestler "Macho Man" Randy Savage. She died as a result of a drug and alcohol overdose on May 1, 2003 in the home she shared with wrestler Lex Luger.
Hulette was born in Frankfort, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in communications.
While working at International Championship Wrestling shows, met Randall Poffo, who wrestled under the ring name "Macho Man" Randy Savage. They married in December 1984.
In the summer of 1985, the WWF featured an angle (a fictional storyline) in which all the managers in the promotion competed to offer their services to Macho Man Randy Savage. During a match on July 30, 1985 in Poughkeepsie, New York, several managers were at ringside in hopes that he would name one of them as his new manager. After the match, Savage thanked the managers for their consideration and then asked that his new manager come to ringside. An attractive, unnamed woman then came down to the ring, and announcer Bruno Sammartino remarked, "She must be some sort of movie star," referring to her glamourous sex appeal. It was later revealed that her name was Miss Elizabeth. Elizabeth's WWF debut aired on the August 24, 1985, edition of WWF Prime Time Wrestling. From that point on, she was the manager of Randy Savage.
Randy Mario Poffo (November 15, 1952 – May 20, 2011), better known by his ring name "Macho Man" Randy Savage, was an American professional wrestler and color commentator best known for his time in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He is regarded as one of the greatest pro wrestlers in history.
Savage won 20 championships during a 32-year career. He held six world championships between the WWF and WCW, having won the WWF World Heavyweight Championship twice and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship four times. He also won the ICW World Heavyweight Championship three times and the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship once. A one-time WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion, Savage was named by WWE (formerly WWF) as the greatest champion of all time and credited for bringing "a higher level of credibility to the title through his amazing in-ring performances." Savage was also the 1987 WWF King of the Ring and the 1995 WCW World War 3 winner. A major pay-per-view attraction in the 1980s and 1990s, he main-evented WrestleManias IV, V and VIII, as well as four of the first five SummerSlam shows, the 1995 edition of WCW's Starrcade, and many other events. At the peak of his popularity, Savage held similar drawing power to that of Hulk Hogan.
