Night or nighttime (sp. night-time or night time) is the period of time between the sunset and the sunrise when the Sun is below the horizon.
This occurs after dusk. The opposite of night is day (or "daytime" to distinguish it from "day" as used for a 24-hour period). The start and end points of time of a night vary based on factors such as season, latitude, longitude and timezone.
At any given time, one side of the planet Earth is bathed in light from the Sun (the daytime) and the other side of the Earth is in the shadow caused by the Earth blocking the light of the sun. This shadow is called the umbra. Natural illumination is still provided by a combination of moonlight, planetary light, starlight, diffuse zodiacal light, gegenschein, and airglow. In some circumstances, bioluminescence, aurorae, and lightning can provide some illumination. The glow provided by artificial illumination is sometimes referred to as light pollution because it can interfere with observational astronomy and ecosystems.
Fever Night aka Static Age Band of Satanic Outsiders is a 2009 American independent psychedelic horror film written and directed by Jordan Harris and Andrew Schrader. The film was released on DVD and video on demand on May 15, 2012.
Elliot (Peter Tullio), Warren (Philip Marlatt) and Terry (Melanie Rose Wilson) dabble in Satanism and hold a ritual in an abandoned woods. When nothing happens, they return to their car only to find that it won't start. An accident happens, leaving Terry injured. Seeing a distant light through the trees, Elliot hikes toward the light to seek assistance, leaving Warren to watch over Terry. Terry disappears and Warren becomes frightened. He hikes into the woods seeking Elliot and encounters hillbilly seductress Jenny (Vanity Meers) and her inbred father Ned (Michael Q. Schmidt)... but things are not what they appear as they meet the entity raised by their earlier ritual.
"Night Fever" is a disco song, written and performed by the Bee Gees. It first appeared on the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever. Producer Robert Stigwood wanted to call the film Saturday Night, but singer Robin Gibb expressed hesitation at the title. Stigwood liked the title Night Fever but was wary of marketing a movie with that name.
The B-side was a live version of "Down the Road" in 1977, previously released on Here at Last... Bee Gees... Live.
When Bee Gees manager Robert Stigwood was producing a movie about a New York disco scene, the working title for the film at that time was Saturday Night as Stigwood asked the group to write a song using that name as a title, but the Bee Gees thought it was a dumb title, but they had already written a song called "Night Fever". The group convinced Stigwood to use that and change the film to Saturday Night Fever.
The string intro of "Night Fever" was inspired by "Theme from A Summer Place" by Percy Faith, according to keyboardist Blue Weaver when he was performing it one morning at the sessions and Barry Gibb walked in and heard the new idea for this song. As Weaver explains the history behind this song:
Megurine Luka (巡音ルカ) is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media, headquartered in Sapporo, Japan. They use Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 2 singing synthesizing technology. Her voice is sampled from Yū Asakawa. She has performed at live concerts onstage as an animated projection. Many songs have been created with her.
Luka was developed by Crypton Future Media using Yamaha's Vocaloid 2. Her voice was created by taking vocal samples from voice actress Yū Asakawa at a controlled pitch and tone.
On March 19, 2015, a new version of Luka developed for Vocaloid 4, called Megurine Luka V4X, was released containing a package of 6 vocals - 4 for Japanese and 2 for English. The Japanese vocals were "Hard", "Soft", "Hard EVEC" and "Soft EVEC" while the English vocals were titled "Straight" and "Soft". Japanese vocals "HARD EVEC" and "Soft EVEC" utilized the new "EVEC" system for Piapro studio allowed delicate adjustments of phonetic sounds to change how a sound played. The EVEC "Colours" for Luka are; "power 1", "power 2", "native", "whisper", "dark", "husky", "soft", "falsetto" and "cute". All 4 Japanese vocals could use the new "Cross-Synthesis" ("XSY") system for Vocaloid4 together, while the 2 English ones could be cross-synthesized also with each other.
Hatsune Miku (Japanese: 初音ミク), sometimes referred to as Miku Hatsune, is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media. Hatsune Miku is portrayed as a 16-year-old girl with long turquoise twintails. She uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 2 and Vocaloid 3 singing synthesizing technologies. She also uses Crypton Future Media's Piapro Studio, a singing synthesizer VSTi Plugin. She was the second Vocaloid sold using the Vocaloid 2 engine, and the first Japanese Vocaloid to use the Japanese version of the Vocaloid 2 engine. Her voice is sampled from Japanese voice actress Saki Fujita. Hatsune Miku has performed at her concerts onstage as an animated projection.
The name of the character comes from merging the Japanese words for first (初, hatsu), sound (音, ne) and future (ミク, miku), thus meaning "the first sound from the future," referring to her position as the first of Crypton's "Character Vocal Series."
Hatsune Miku was the first Vocaloid developed by Crypton Future Media after they handled the release of the Yamaha vocal Meiko and Kaito. She was built using Yamaha's Vocaloid 2 technology, and later updated over time to newer engine versions. She was created by taking vocal samples from voice actress Saki Fujita at a controlled pitch and tone and those different samples all contain a single Japanese or English phonic which, when strung together, create full lyrics and phrases. The pitch of the samples was to be altered by the synthesizer engine itself, and was constructed into a keyboard style instrument within the Vocaloid software.

"The answer I found was "there is no answer"." -samfree This was a sad translation for me as I found out recently that the well known and popular producer samfree passed away unexpectedly on September 24th. In late August he left us one with one last, moving song, which seems to ask all listeners to reflect on life and how they approach it, so that they may find fulfillment in their time on Earth no matter what ups and downs they face. samfree was an amazingly influential producer who created some of the iconic songs that helped draw countless fans into the Vocaloid phenomena. I loved his Miku "Night"-series song so much that it was the second translation I ever did (however embarassingly bad the video is): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHLqgW1To0Y I am truly grateful for all his wonde...

"Do you have a wan-chan?" -Producer Comment (I guess this could be some silly wordplay where wanchan is both "doggie" and "one chance" One week later and I'm still feeling all kinds of sadness over the tragic passing of samfree. Being recommended this song by a friend only served to remind me once more of just how talented a producer he was. I love the art, the beat, and the lyrics and I hope you will enjoy and find meaning in them as well, just like samfree would have wanted. I may as well try semaphore
As words no longer work
This fool was feeling cornered
And he acted like a jerk
He'd tell you he was sorry
If that made good the hurt
It's too late now, for sorry
It's too late now, for words
We survive, despite our desire to stray
Hell to pay
Thought you knew my desires
Innate it's not going away
I hope you're not going away
It's a question of convenience
How pain, with time, will fade
Surrendered to acceptance
Dark night gives way to day
It was meant to be a gesture
That mark across your face
It's too late now, for sorry
It's too late now, for grace
We survive despite our desire to stray
Hell to pay
Thought you knew my desires
Innate it's not going away
Hell to pay
Thought you knew
Hell to pay
Thought you knew
Thought you knew
