Tim Bevan is one of the most successful film producers of our time. In 1983, this native New Zealander founded the London-based production company „Working Title Films", which he has run together with his business partner Eric Fellner since 1992.
Bevan has produced such films as MY BEAUTIFUL LAUNDRETTE, the blockbuster BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY, ATONEMENT and ELIZABETH -- the latter two each brought him an Oscar nomination. All'età di 21 anni, Tim Lake (Gleeson) scopre di essere in grado di viaggiare nel tempo ...
Dopo l'ennesima, deludente festa di Capodanno, il padre di Tim (Nighy) rivela a suo figlio che gli uomini della loro famiglia hanno sempre avuto il potere di viaggiare attraverso il tempo. Tim non può cambiare la storia ma può cambiare quel che accade e che è accaduto nella sua vita, perciò decide di rendere il suo mondo migliore ... trovandosi una fidanzata. Sfortunatamente questa impresa non sarà facile come potrebbe sembrare.
Giunto a Londra dalla Cornovaglia per diventare avvocato, Tim incontra la bella ma insicura Mary (McAdams). I due si innamorano, ma per colpa di un fatale viaggio nel tempo, si allontanano per sempre. Ma si incontrano di nuovo, come se fosse la prima volta, e continuano ad incontrarsi ancora ... fino a quando, giocando d'astuzia contro il tempo, Tim riuscirà finalmente a conquistare il suo cuore.
Il giovane a quel punto usa il suo potere per dichiararsi romanticamente nel modo migliore, per tutelare il suo matrimonio dal peggiore discorso mai fatto da un testimone di nozze, per salvare il suo migliore amico da un disastro professionale e per riuscire ad arrivare in tempo in ospedale per far partorire sua moglie, nonostante un terribile ingorgo di traffico ad Abbey Road.
Tuttavia, nel corso della sua insolita vita, Tim si rende conto che il suo dono straordinario non può preservarlo dalle sofferenze, e dagli alti e bassi che tutte le famiglie, ovunque, sperimentano. Sono grandi i limiti di ciò che un viaggio nel tempo può ottenere, senza contare che può rivelarsi alquanto pericoloso. Questione di Tempo è una commedia che parla dell'amore e del potere dei viaggi temporali e che insegna che in fondo, per vivere una vita piena e soddisfacente, non c'è bisogno di viaggiare nel tempo.

Tim Bevan, CBE (born 1958) is a film producer.
Bevan was born in Queenstown, New Zealand.
Bevan was educated at Sidcot School, a Quaker boarding independent school in the Mendip Hills, near the village of Winscombe in North Somerset, in South West England.
Bevan co-founded Working Title Films in London with Sarah Radclyffe and Graham Bradstreet in the 1980s. (Eric Fellner now partners Tim Bevan at Working Title Films). Among Bevan's more than 40 films as producer or executive producer are Moonlight and Valentino, Fargo, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, The Guru, Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Love Actually, Notting Hill, Elizabeth, Bridget Jones's Diary, Atonement, and Frost/Nixon. To date, the films he has co-produced have grossed a total of almost four billion dollars worldwide ($3,939 Million according to www.boxofficemojo.com) without adjusting for inflation.
Working Title Films signed a deal with Universal Studios in 1999 for a reported $600 (USD) million, which gave Bevan and Fellner the power to commission projects with a budget of up to $35 (USD) million without having to consult their paymasters.

Sfortunatamente questa impresa non sarà facile come potrebbe sembrare.
Giunto a Londra dalla Cornovaglia per diventare avvocato, Tim incontra la bella ma insicura Mary (McAdams). I due si innamorano, ma per colpa di un fatale viaggio nel tempo, si allontanano per sempre. Ma si incontrano di nuovo, come se fosse la prima volta, e continuano ad incontrarsi ancora ... fino a quando, giocando d'astuzia contro il tempo, Tim riuscirà finalmente a conquistare il suo cuore.
Il giovane a quel punto usa il suo potere per dichiararsi romanticamente nel modo migliore, per tutelare il suo matrimonio dal peggiore discorso mai fatto da un testimone di nozze, per salvare il suo migliore amico da un disastro professionale e per riuscire ad arrivare in tempo in ospedale per far partorire sua moglie, nonostante un terribile ingorgo di traffico ad Abbey Road.
Tuttavia, nel corso della sua insolita vita, Tim si rende conto che il suo dono straordinario non può preservarlo dalle sofferenze, e dagli alti e bassi che tutte le famiglie, ovunque, sperimentano. Sono grandi i limiti di ciò che un viaggio nel tempo può ottenere, senza contare che può rivelarsi alquanto pericoloso. Questione di Tempo è una commedia che parla dell'amore e del potere dei viaggi temporali e che insegna che in fondo, per vivere una vita piena e soddisfacente, non c'è bisogno di viaggiare nel tempo.
