"Ultraviolet (Light My Way)" is a song by the rock band U2 and the tenth track from their 1991 album Achtung Baby. Ostensibly about love and dependency, the song also lends itself to religious interpretations, with listeners finding allusions to the Book of Job and writers finding spiritual meaning in its invocation of the light spectrum.
The song's composition and recording incorporate both serious and throwaway elements, in keeping with the rest of Achtung Baby. While not released as a single, the song has appeared in two films and a U2 business venture was named after it. "Ultraviolet" played a featured role during the encores of the group's 1992–1993 Zoo TV and 2009–2011 U2 360° Tours.
"Ultraviolet (Light My Way)" began as two different demos, one variously called "Ultraviolet" and "69" (which eventually evolved into the B-side "Lady with the Spinning Head") and an alternately arranged demo called "Light My Way". Over the course of the recording sessions, U2 added various overdubs to the song, but producer Brian Eno believed these additions negatively impacted the track. Eno aided the group in editing down the song, and he explained his assistance as such: "I'd go in and say, 'The song has gone, whatever it is you liked about this song is not there anymore. Sometimes, for example, the song would have disappeared under layers of overdubs."
Ultraviolet is the debut studio album by American rapper and singer Kid Sister, released on November 17, 2009 by Universal Republic Records. It was initially to be titled Dream Date but was changed during the recording process, along with the removal of three tracks and addition of five new ones. DJ A-Trak serves as the executive producer and the album includes production by XXXChange, Sinden, DJ Gant-Man, Hervé, Yuksek, and others.
Ultraviolet received generally favorable reviews from most music critics. The album holds a score of 68 out of 100 on the review aggregator website Metacritic.
Ultraviolet is the sixth full-length studio album by American sludge metal group, Kylesa. It is also the group's third album to be released through Season of Mist.
Writing for Ultraviolet was done periodically throughout the span of two years, unlike previous albums which were written and recorded during shorter periods of time. In an interview with Echoes And Dust, Philip Cope stated it was the first time he played the theremin a lot for an album, as well as incorporating instruments such as synthesizers and a skateboard guitar for the recording. According to Cope in an interview with HEAVY, "The biggest difference with Ultraviolet is that everybody now pretty much plays multiple instruments and we let everybody do what they want. Nobody has a particular role; no one has to play just guitar or just drums." It was also noted that Cope took on more of a "director" role during the recording process, with Laura Pleasants contributing more vocals compared to previous efforts.
The Ford Falcon is a full-sized car which has been manufactured by the Ford Motor Company of Australia since 1960. From the XA series of 1972 onward, each Falcon and range of derivates have been designed, developed, and built in Australia, following the phasing out of the American-influenced Falcon of 1960 to 1971, which had been re-engineered locally as the XK to XY series for the harsher Australian conditions. The luxury-oriented Ford Fairmont model joined the range from 1965. Luxury long-wheelbase derivative versions called the Ford Fairlane and LTD arrived in 1967 and 1973, respectively (with production ending in 2007).
The Ford Falcon and its derivates have been Australian-made best-sellers, with over 3,000,000 sales in seven generations to 2003, almost exclusively in Australia and New Zealand, but also South Africa. Along with its closest Australian-made rival, the Holden Commodore, the Falcon has dominated the ranks of taxis in Australia and New Zealand, as well as police car and company fleets.
The Falcon (Sam Wilson) is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Gene Colan, and introduced in Captain America #117 (Sept. 1969), the character is mainstream comics' first African-American superhero. Falcon uses mechanical wings to fly and has limited telepathic and empathic control over birds. Following Steve Rogers' retirement, Sam Wilson becomes the newest Captain America and leader of the Avengers.
The Falcon's deceased nephew was the Incredible Hulk's sometime-sidekick Jim Wilson, one of the first openly HIV-positive comic-book characters. Jim Wilson's father Gideon Wilson would go on to join the Gamma Corps. Gideon would presumably be Sam's older brother. Sam also has a sister named Sarah Casper and a nephew, named Jody Toby Casper and an unnamed niece.
Anthony Mackie portrays Falcon in the 2014 Marvel Studios film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and reprises his role in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Ant-Man (2015) and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War (2016).
Falcon is a steel roller coaster at the amusement park Duinrell, located in Wassenaar, Netherlands. The roller coaster is a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter model coaster which was opened to the public on 14 May 2009. At 97 degrees, Falcon has a steeper-than-vertical drop, and the steepest drop of any roller coaster in the Netherlands.
Soon after it opened in 1935, Duinrell had the Netherlands' first artificial ski slope. This ski slope was ultimately removed for the installation of Falcon in 2009. The municipality of Wassenaar had often had disputes with Duinrell in regards to noise levels created by the amusement park. This was true again with the proposed construction of a new coaster. The new coaster was given the code name "Rick's Delight"—which was a reference to Duinrell's mascot, Rick the Frog. The park was awarded when a permit from the municipality of Wassenaar over the objections of some residents and after a lengthy court battle. Noise and traffic studies were conducted and showed that the new coaster would not adversely influence these environmental factors in the area surrounding the park (results were just under the 45 decibel benchmark). A Duinrell spokesperson also stated that measures were being taken to further mitigate the noise from the park. On 14 May 2009, Mayor Hoekema van Wassenaar and the director of Duinrell, Philip van Zuylen van Nijvelt opened the ride to the public. Objections from the community, however, had delayed the coaster opening 2 years later than had originally been planned.

Check us out on Instagram! @PythonPaige This is Bertha, the American Kestrel! Kestrels are the smallest falcon species in North America, and one of the smallest in the entire world. Many bird species readily display their natural ability to stabilize their heads, but the kestrel seems to do it most frequently. Complex neck movements let them keep their eyes completely focussed on what they are looking at when perched on a branch or wire that is swaying in the breeze! Cool facts about Kestrels: - Kestrels can see into the ultraviolet light spectrum, enabling them to see the urine trail of their prey. - Kestrels sometimes kill multiple prey items at a time to hide and save for later. - Kestrels have two black spots on the back of their head that look like eyes. Their preda...

On January 26, 1978, the International Ultraviolet Explorer launched into orbit on a mission to study ultraviolet light emitted by stars and other bright objects in the universe. Because a lot of that UV light is absorbed by Earth's ozone layer, astronomers needed a space-based observatory to look at it. The IUE mission allowed astronomers to study hot, bright stars, active galactic nuclei, supernova explosions and more. The mission was a joint project between NASA and the European Space Agency, and it lasted more than 18 years before budget cuts led to its decommissioning. The derelict satellite is still in orbit around the Earth today.
