Andrew is the English form of a given name common in many countries. In the 1990s it was among the top ten most popular names for boys in English-speaking countries. In Italian, the equivalent to "Andrew" is "Andrea", though "Andrea" is feminine in most other languages. "Andrew" is frequently shortened to "Andy" or "Drew". The word is derived from the Greek: Ανδρέας, Andreas, itself related to Ancient Greek: ἀνήρ/ἀνδρός aner/andros, "man" (as opposed to "woman"), thus meaning "manly" and, as consequence, "strong", "courageous", and "warrior". In the King James Bible, the Greek "Ἀνδρέας" is translated as Andrew.
In 2000, the name Andrew was the second most popular name in Australia. In 1999, it was the 19th most common name, while in 1940, it was the 31st most common name. Andrew was the first most popular boys name in the Northern Territory in 2003 to 2015 and continuing. In Victoria, Andrew was the first most popular name for a boy in the 1970s.
Andrew was the 20th most popular name chosen for male infants in 2005. Andrew was the 16th most popular name for infants in British Columbia in 2004, the 17th most popular name in 2003, and the 19th most popular name in 2002. In 2001, it was the 18th most common name. From 1999 – 2003, Andrew was the sixth most often chosen name for a boy.
Big data is a broad term for data sets so large or complex that traditional data processing applications are inadequate. Challenges include analysis, capture, data curation, search, sharing, storage, transfer, visualization, querying and information privacy. The term often refers simply to the use of predictive analytics or certain other advanced methods to extract value from data, and seldom to a particular size of data set. Accuracy in big data may lead to more confident decision making, and better decisions can result in greater operational efficiency, cost reduction and reduced risk.
Analysis of data sets can find new correlations to "spot business trends, prevent diseases, combat crime and so on." Scientists, business executives, practitioners of medicine, advertising and governments alike regularly meet difficulties with large data sets in areas including Internet search, finance and business informatics. Scientists encounter limitations in e-Science work, including meteorology, genomics, connectomics, complex physics simulations, biology and environmental research.

Having traveled to Boston for the HP Big Data Conference, John Furrier and Dave Vellante, theCube co-hosts, tracked down the big names in the industry to discuss the hot topics of the hour, and current industry trends. The focus of the event was on Vertica's customers and the business intelligence. Andrew MacBean, VP of Vertica Ecosystem & Solutions, started the interview by talking about the event from an organizer's point of view, walking us from the idea to the actual Conference. MacBean thinks the high demand for this event was partly due to the buzz that still surrounds Vertica. HP Vertica is doing extremely well at the moment, and the technology is very hot. It's who you know "A lot of our partners are looking to go with us as we get better and many of them are looking at us to...
This is the audition song that David has used to land every leading role he's had from London to New York... Chris in Saigon, The Phantom of The Opera, Jean Valjean in Les Mis... We figured it was high time he recorded it. Thankyou David!

The incredible Lilianne Montevecchi performing her knockout number "Folies Bergeres" at the Royal Festival Hall, London. This was in a production with a cast of 165, directed by Andrew MacBean, starring Jonathan Pryce. Singing with Lilianne, is the hysterical Anita Dobson. Watch the whole thing - 10 minutes, this has the wonderful middle section -featuring the "present" from the young Guido.
Frankie Ruff performs "Stupid Things" (and knocks it out of the park) from William Finn's Make Me A Song. Directed by Andrew MacBean, Musical Director Matt Brind. At the Charing Cross Theatre, London. This number (originally for Elaine Stritch) was almost cut by William Finn because Frances was doing such a different interpretation (Dumb as opposed to Smart) ... in the end Bill caved in..and had to admit...."Wow".
Best watched in HD - Joan learns and records a song from a musical that has been locked in a drawer until now... the orchestra tapes were discovered and this is the first song recorded (just for fun to try it out..).
