BASTILLE DAY: Never was there a more appropriate spot to celebrate Bastille (in New Jersey, at least) than Frenchtown. There will be all the usual town fair trappings here: craft vendors, street food, and musicians. However, this Bastille Day celebration has a twist to it. Fashion will be a major part of the celebration. Models will be walking around the festival area in clothes from local shops, and designers. There will also be street performers like mimes, stilt walkers, and professional pogo stick performers. Free. Saturday, 12 p.m. to "night." Bridge Street, Frenchtown.
VANS WARPED TOUR AT THE PNC BANK ARTS CENTER: Vans Warped Tour is truly a "Mid-Summer Classic." The 21 year-old traveling punk rock festival makes its annual Garden State stop this Sunday. Monmouth Park's Surf and Turf Seafood Festival will feature fine cuts of seafood from the likes of the famed Palm Restaurant, Red Bank's Gaetanos, Joe's Crab Shack, and seafood fest favorites Ike's Crab Cakes, Cape May Salt Oysters, and the Surf and Turf Truck. The festival will also include beer and wine for adults, games for the kids, live music, and of course access to the races at the track. $5.
