This cuddly little guy is known as a Nasua Nasua (lat.) or Coatimundi (in German Nasenbär = Nosebear) and is closely related to the raccoon. While the Racoon lifes in North America, the Coati is his south american relative. Elvis is six years old now and he’s gotten very smart! He works as a Moviepet (for instance "Quatsch und die Nasenbärbande", ab 6.11.14 im Kino, in englisch Fiddlesticks, I don´t know the Release-Date) the first Movie worldwide, where a Coati plays the Mainrole. As you can see, he knows how to get what he wants. :P Hes a professional cuddler.

Meet the latest addition to the family.... Zed the Coatimundi!
Zed is a fun-loving 12-week-old White-Nosed Coati who loves to travel and enjoy life. From learning tricks, going for runs on his harness, travelling to educational events, to digging in the beach sand... I have compiled many of Zed's favourite activities into this collection of clips. This little dude LOVES adventure! I hope you enjoy his crazy antics. :)
Some info about his species:
The White-nosed Coati (nasua narica) is a medium-sized mammal indigenous to Central America, Mexico, and the southwestern United States (Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico). They are large members of the family Procyonidae (the raccoon family), with the males growing to be as heavy as 27 lbs at maturity while the females are usually between 6 and 13 lbs. The name "coati" (pronounced ko-WAH-tee) is derived from the Tupi term "akwa'tim", meaning "pointy nose". The coati's nose is incredibly flexible and is able to bend 60 degrees in any direction. They use their nose, coupled with their powerful and heavily-clawed paws, to forage for grubs and insects in the earth. A coati's diet includes grubs, insects, tarantulas, reptile and bird eggs, fruits, and any small vertebrates they can catch. Coatis are the only procyonid that is diurnal by nature; namely, they are most active during the day. Female coatis and their young form bands of 30-40 individuals while male coatis live solitary lives, only joining other coatis for breeding. These lone male coatis are called "coatimundis". White-nosed Coatis are listed as "Least Concern" by the IUCN Red List and are abundant in the wild.
Note to viewers:
Zed is an educational animal ambassador and travels with Shorty, the rats, and a bevy of other animals to schools, camps, etc. doing educational presentations. I am a professional animal handler and have over a decade's experience working with animals, both wild and domestic. In no way do coatis' behaviour resemble a cat or dog's, and they are incredibly high-maintenance and destructive animals that can be difficult to handle especially as adults. You may think Zed is cute, but coatis do not have the same "pet quality" as dogs and cats and should only be in the hands of expert keepers. If you think you want a pet coati after watching Zed's video, please understand that these clips do not at all capture what it is like to live with this species. Coatis need all of your time and attention and will steal and destroy your belongings, can be temperamental, and are like living with a two-year-old child on caffeine (with sharp teeth and claws, and incredible jumping abilities) for their entire lives, which is around 15-20 years. As well, they can become very aggressive if they are not given the attention that they need. If you have fallen in love with coatis through Zed's video and are thinking, "I want one!", it may be best for you to just vicariously own one through Zed's videos. Coatis are an enormous commitment and are NOT an animal you can purchase on a whim.
Additional info about Zed:
Zed was NOT taken from the wild. He is a captive-born coati, as were his parents, his parents' parents, etc., just like your pet hamster. Acquiring a captive-born exotic animal species does not in any way support poaching/smuggling, in the same way acquiring a puppy from a reputable dog breeder does not support puppy mills. I work extensively to educate the public on coatis in the wild, and I vehemently oppose poaching and the illegal smuggling of wildlife.
To those wondering about his leash: Zed is currently in recall training. Once he has mastered a solid recall, he will be off-leash 24/7 like my other animals.

AMAZING TRIVIA SIDEBAR:
- There were 7 to 9 complete performances done that day. There were very little edits made. You forensics freaks however will be able to figure out where the cuts were manifested by the size , dimension and kinetic angle of the various shadows cast by the people , poles and the surrounding foliage.
- This video was previously posted as two clips. Even though it meant a drop in quality we however combined both clips and re-posted it as a single clip on the behest of celebrated Film Director & Mundi fan Olivier Stone. When Coati auditioned for a film role that eventually went to Tom Cruise he paraphrased the lyrics singing: "ME NO POPEYE - YOU NO OLIVE STONE".
- One of the kids playing in the children's playground section turned out to be Leonardo DiCaprio. Could you tell which one it is?
- We had a 20 year anniversary of the filming event. It turns out unfortunately that 85% of the people under 21 years old that day are presently incarcerated in a maximum secured facility. Please pray for them.

Mundi
Mundi is a town under Khandwa district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is a thousand years old town. It is surrounded by significant forest area which belongs to Narmada River Valley. It is 120 km from Indore, the commercial capital of the state.
Demographics
As of 2012 India census, Mundi had a population of 30,000. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Mundi has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 52%. In Mundi, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Location
"Mundi" is located at 22°04′N 76°30′E / 22.07°N 76.5°E / 22.07; 76.5. It has an average elevation of 300 metres (1000 feet)."Mundi" is located on the Main Road's & Highway's, with daily connections to Khandwa, Indore, Bhopal, Dewas etc.
History
The name of the city is derived from "Mundari" (meaning ring or circle shape). During the rise of Buddhism, the East Nimar region was included in the Avanti Kingdom under Chand Pradyota Mahesana, which was later added to the growing empire of Magadha by Shishunaga. From the early 2nd century BC to the late 15th century AD, the Nimar Region (earlier a part of Khandesh) was ruled by many emperors from many dynasties, which include Mauryas, Shungas, Satvahanas, Kardamakas, Abhiras, Vakatakas, Imperial Guptas, Kalchuris, Vardhanas (of Harsha Vardhana fame), Chalukyas, Kanungos, Rashtrakutas, Paramaras, Faruki etc. A Well is situated at ‘’’Koteshwer’’’ or ‘’’Loteshwer’’’, created by Pandhawas. ‘’’Renuka Dham’’’ is another ancient temple. Since the mid-16th century to the early 18th century, the Nimar region, was under the rule of Aurangzeb, Bahadur Shah, Peshwas, Sindhia, Bawaniya, Holkar, Pawar, (Marathas), Pindaris etc. Later from early part of the mid-18th century, the management of the Nimar region came under the British.

Zed is a fun-loving 12-week-old White-Nosed Coati who loves to travel and enjoy life. From learning tricks, going for runs on his harness, travelling to educational events, to digging in the beach sand... Some info about his species:
The White-nosed Coati (nasua narica) is a medium-sized mammal indigenous to Central America, Mexico, and the southwestern United States (Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico). They are large members of the family Procyonidae (the raccoon family), with the males growing to be as heavy as 27 lbs at maturity while the females are usually between 6 and 13 lbs. The name "coati" (pronounced ko-WAH-tee) is derived from the Tupi term "akwa'tim", meaning "pointy nose". The coati's nose is incredibly flexible and is able to bend 60 degrees in any direction. They use their nose, coupled with their powerful and heavily-clawed paws, to forage for grubs and insects in the earth. A coati's diet includes grubs, insects, tarantulas, reptile and bird eggs, fruits, and any small vertebrates they can catch. Coatis are the only procyonid that is diurnal by nature; namely, they are most active during the day. Female coatis and their young form bands of 30-40 individuals while male coatis live solitary lives, only joining other coatis for breeding. These lone male coatis are called "coatimundis". White-nosed Coatis are listed as "Least Concern" by the IUCN Red List and are abundant in the wild.

Zed is an educational animal ambassador and travels with Shorty, the rats, and a bevy of other animals to schools, camps, etc. doing educational presentations. I am a professional animal handler and have over a decade's experience working with animals, both wild and domestic. In no way do coatis' behaviour resemble a cat or dog's, and they are incredibly high-maintenance and destructive animals that can be difficult to handle especially as adults. You may think Zed is cute, but coatis do not have the same "pet quality" as dogs and cats and should only be in the hands of expert keepers. If you think you want a pet coati after watching Zed's video, please understand that these clips do not at all capture what it is like to live with this species. Coatis need all of your time and attention and will steal and destroy your belongings, can be temperamental, and are like living with a two-year-old child on caffeine (with sharp teeth and claws, and incredible jumping abilities) for their entire lives, which is around 15-20 years. As well, they can become very aggressive if they are not given the attention that they need. If you have fallen in love with coatis through Zed's video and are thinking, "I want one!", it may be best for you to just vicariously own one through Zed's videos. Coatis are an enormous commitment and are NOT an animal you can purchase on a whim.

Zed was NOT taken from the wild. He is a captive-born coati, as were his parents, his parents' parents, etc., just like your pet hamster. Acquiring a captive-born exotic animal species does not in any way support poaching/smuggling, in the same way acquiring a puppy from a reputable dog breeder does not support puppy mills. I work extensively to educate the public on coatis in the wild, and I vehemently oppose poaching and the illegal smuggling of wildlife.
To those wondering about his leash: Zed is currently in recall training. Once he has mastered a solid recall, he will be off-leash 24/7 like my other animals.

- There were 7 to 9 complete performances done that day. There were very little edits made. You forensics freaks however will be able to figure out where the cuts were manifested by the size , dimension and kinetic angle of the various shadows cast by the people , poles and the surrounding foliage.
- This video was previously posted as two clips. Even though it meant a drop in quality we however combined both clips and re-posted it as a single clip on the behest of celebrated Film Director & Mundi fan Olivier Stone. When Coati auditioned for a film role that eventually went to Tom Cruise he paraphrased the lyrics singing: "ME NO POPEYE - YOU NO OLIVE STONE".
- One of the kids playing in the children's playground section turned out to be Leonardo DiCaprio. Could you tell which one it is?
- We had a 20 year anniversary of the filming event. It turns out unfortunately that 85% of the people under 21 years old that day are presently incarcerated in a maximum secured facility. Please pray for them.

Marcó el Top 40 del Reino Unido hit "Yo No Me Pop" en 1981, justo antes de la liberación de Gangsters tropicales . Él produjo y arregló un álbum de " Don Armando Segunda Avenida Rhumba Band ", que estimuló la exitosa canción del disco" Adjunto del Amor Hernández es una primera generación de puertorriqueños que creció en el Harlem Español , Ciudad de Nueva York .
