Wu-Tang Clan

The Wu-Tang Clan /ˈwuːtæŋklæn/ is an American hip hop group from New York City, originally composed of East Coast rappers RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa and Ol' Dirty Bastard. The group was formed in and is associated with the New York City borough of Staten Island.

The Wu-Tang Clan has released seven gold and platinum studio albums with worldwide sales of more than 40 million albums, including members' solo projects, since 1992. Its debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), is considered to be one of the greatest albums in hip-hop history and it is said to have been groundbreaking for hip-hop and one of the most important albums of the hip-hop golden age.

The Wu-Tang Clan has introduced and launched the careers of a number of affiliated artists and groups, often collectively known as the Wu-Tang Killa Bees and it has been mentioned to be one of the most influential hip-hop groups of all-time. In 2008, About.com ranked them the No. 1 greatest hip hop group of all time". Kris Ex of Rolling Stone called Wu-Tang Clan "the best rap group ever". In 2004, NME hailed them as one of the most influential groups of the last ten years.

Shakin' Stevens

Shakin' Stevens (born 4 March 1948) is a platinum-selling Welsh rock and roll singer and songwriter who was the UK's biggest-selling singles artist of the 1980s. His recording and performing career began in the late 1960s, although it was not until 1980 that he saw commercial success in his native land.

In the UK alone, Stevens has charted 33 Top 40 hit singles including four chart topping hits This Ole House, Green Door, Oh Julie, and Merry Christmas Everyone, his last Top 40 single was "Trouble" in 2005, and his Christmas song has re-entered the UK Top 40 chart each December since 2007.

Life and career

Early days

Michael Barratt, who would later adopt the stage name "Shakin' Stevens", was the youngest of 14 children born in Caerphilly to Jack and May Barratt. His father was a First World War veteran who by 1948 was working in the building trade, having previously worked as a coal miner. The oldest of his siblings were born in the later part of the 1920s, and by the time of his birth some of them were already married and had children of their own. Jack Barratt died in 1972, aged 75, while May lived until 1984, dying at age 79.

Christian Scharnweber

Christian Scharnweber (born 1972) is a DJ from Germany. He records under the name DJ Mellow D and Mellow Trax; it is under this name that he had his hits.

His first song, Phuture Vibes, was a domestic hit, charting at #15 on the Austrian Singles Chart. However, his next song, Outa Space, was an international smash, charting at #14 in Austria as well as #42 in Switzerland, #27 in France, #41 on the UK Singles Chart and #43 on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart in America. His final hit, coming two years later, was a remix of Shaft's (Mucho Mambo) Sway, which charted at #43 in Austria.

Littlest Pet Shop

Littlest Pet Shop is a toy franchise owned by Hasbro. The original toy series was produced by Kenner in the early 1990s. An animated television series was made in 1994 by Sunbow Productions and Jean Chalopin Creativite et Developpement, based on the franchise.

A new version of Littlest Pet Shop was introduced in 2005 by Hasbro, with revisions such as larger eyes. There are currently over 3,000 different pets that have been created under this revision. Hasbro, alongside various digital media developers, have produced video games for consoles such as the Nintendo DS, Wii and PlayStation 3. An animated television series of the same name is currently being produced by Hasbro Studios, and premiered in 2012. Hasbro has also created virtual pets to 'adopt' and play with online. These websites were Littlest Pet Shop VIP, and Littlest Pet Shop online, better recognized as the name LPS. Neither lasted longer than 3 years, but were very popular and enjoyed by many kids. In 2010, Hasbro released their version of Blythe as a part of this toy line.

Pet Shop (film)

Pet Shop is a 1994 film by Moonbeam Entertainment.

Plot

An alien couple comes to Earth disguised as a cowboy and cowgirl and buy a pet shop from its owner in an attempt to try to eat some of Earth's children for dinner. They look like normal people aside from the fact that they have a third eye on their foreheads which they cover with their hats. One by one they give some pets to random kids free of charge. The pets at first seem normal, until they change into their alien forms. The kids meet when they return to the pet shop because their pets stop eating and need some type of "vitamins" that the aliens feed them.

Release

Originally intended for a release in the summer of 1994, the film ended up being released on videocassette on March 28, 1995. To this day, the film has never been released on DVD and as of September 26, 2010, neither Paramount Pictures nor Full Moon Features has yet to announce any plans to release the film onto DVD.
