Axis Of
Axis Of are a three-piece alternative rock band from Portstewart, Northern Ireland. The band is composed of Niall Lawlor (guitar, vocals) and Ewen Friers (bass, vocals).
History
Axis Of formed in 2007, and after various line up changes they released debut single "Brobdingnagian" in late 2009, launching in Belfast in January 2010. Since early 2010 the band have enjoyed a rise in popularity, partly due to the release of their 2nd single "Port Na Spaniagh", which was released along with a music video, available on YouTube.
Following one of the band's UK tours in early 2010, Rock Sound magazine dubbed them "the most exciting band to come out of Northern Ireland, possibly ever" and gave them a 9/10 rating for their live performance at a show in Newcastle. As a result of this coverage the band were subsequently asked to take part in a Maida Vale Studios session in January 2011.
On 10 October 2012 they announced that they signed with Derry based label Smalltown America Records. Their début album was released in Autumn 2012 and titled Finding St Kilda.
Vision (festival)
Vision is the annual national-level technical symposium of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. It was started in 1997 to promote technology and entrepreneurship in India. Vision 2013 was held April 10–12, 2013.

Frank Duval
Frank Duval (born November 22, 1940, Berlin) is a German composer, conductor, record producer, songwriter and singer.
Born into an artists' family, he studied as an actor and dancer, but also sang with his sister, Maria. By the 1960s, Duval was also composing music, both orchestral and pop, and his first soundtrack, for an episode of the German serial Tatort, was broadcast in 1977. From his 1979 first album, Die Schönsten Melodien Aus Derrick und der Alte, the song "Todesengel" became a moderate hit.
During the 1980s, Duval released several soundtracks, as well as proper artist albums (with occasional lyrical help from his wife, Kalina Maloyer). He was in the German charts several times, with "Angel of Mine" (a number one hit in 1981), "Ways" (1983), "Lovers Will Survive" (1986), and "When You Were Mine" (1987).
Duval wrote songs for Ivan Rebroff, Alexandra, Karin Huebner, Margot Werner, Klaus Löwitsch, and Maria Schell.

Vision (Timely Comics)
The Vision (Aarkus) is an American fictional comic book superhero who appeared in comic books published by Marvel Comics during the Golden Age of comic books. Created by the writer Joe Simon and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in Marvel Mystery Comics #13 (Nov. 1940), published by Marvel predecessor Timely Comics.
Publication history
The Vision debuted in a four-page feature in Marvel Mystery Comics #13 (Nov. 1940), and continued as a regular feature in that superhero anthology through issue #48 (Oct. 1943). He also starred in an eight-page story in Kid Comics #3 (no month given; previous issue dated Summer 1943).
In modern-day continuity, a simulacrum of the Vision was temporarily created from the mind of Rick Jones, along with those of the Angel, the Blazing Skull, the Fin, and the Patriot to aid the superhero team the Avengers during the Kree-Skrull War, in The Avengers #97 (March 1972). Two decades later, he appeared in a flashback story in the superhero-team series The Invaders vol. 2, #3 (July 1993), set during World War II. He returns with the other Invaders in the miniseries Invaders Now!, beginning with issue #1 (Nov. 2010). He appeared in several issues of the Marvel NOW! relaunch of X-Men: Legacy, before appearing in the All-New Invaders series in 2014.
Axis (novel)
Axis is a science fiction novel by author Robert Charles Wilson, published in 2007. It is a direct sequel to Wilson's Hugo Award-winning Spin, published two years earlier. The novel was a finalist for the 2008 John W. Campbell Award.
Plot
Axis takes place on the new planet introduced at the end of Spin, a world the Hypotheticals engineered to support human life and connected to Earth by way of the Arch that towers hundreds of miles over the Indian Ocean. Humans are colonizing this new world — and, predictably, fiercely exploiting its resources, chiefly large deposits of oil in the western deserts of the continent of Equatoria.
Lise Adams is a young woman attempting to uncover the mystery of her father's disappearance ten years earlier. Turk Findley is an ex-sailor and sometimes-drifter. They come together when showers of cometary dust seed the planet with tiny remnant Hypothetical machines. Soon, this seemingly hospitable world becomes very alien, as the nature of time is once again twisted by entities unknown.
ETRAX CRIS
The ETRAX CRIS is a series of CPUs designed and manufactured by Axis Communications for use in embedded systems since 1993. The name is an acronym of the chip's features: Ethernet, Token Ring, AXis - Code Reduced Instruction Set. Token ring support has been taken out from the latest chips as it has become obsolete.
Types of chips
The TGA-1, developed in 1986, was a communications transceiver for the AS/400 architecture.
The CGA-1 was just a performance improvement over the TGA-1.
ETRAX
In 1993, by introducing 10 Mbit/s Ethernet and Token Ring controllers, the name ETRAX was born.
The ETRAX-4 had improved performance than previous models, along with a SCSI controller.
The ETRAX 100 features a 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet Controller (hence the name), along with ATA and Wide SCSI support.
ETRAX 100LX
In 2000, the ETRAX 100LX design added an MMU, as well as USB, synchronous serial and SDRAM support, and boosted the CPU performance up to 100 MIPS. Since it has a MMU, it can run the Linux kernel without modifications.
Pulse (Augustus)
Pulse (Augustus), is a fictional character from the Marvel Comics universe. Pulse is a mutant who retained his powers post-M-Day. He first appeared in X-Men vol. 2, #173 (September, 2005).
Fictional character biography
Sometime after having escaped being an underground agent for Xavier, Mystique decided to prove to Rogue that Gambit was not right for her. Mystique's plan to rid Rogue of Gambit involved sowing discord in the couple's romance and, once the pair was soon to be no more, introduce Rogue to Augustus. Given the dialogue between Mystique and him, in which Mystique says she "wanted to see for [herself] that [Augustus] is the man she hopes he is," it can be assumed that the associates did not yet know each other well.
Augustus and Mystique were next seen, stealing paintings from a house. Mystique asks what he does with all of the money he gets from selling stolen goods on the black market, he replies that he invests the money into stocks he knows will soon crash, as he gets some kind of sick pleasure out of losing other peoples' money. Mystique replies, "Time you were safely married, Augustus." Augustus is worried about Gambit's reaction, and comically remarks upon the authenticity of how Cajun he really is. Mystique then reveals she is certain that of all the men she checked out to be Rogue's new romance, Augustus is the one who can "make my daughter happy."
