Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, known as Ganbare Goemon: Neo Momoyama Bakufu no Odori
("Go for it, Goemon: Dance of the Neo Peach Mountain Shogunate"Wink; in Japan, is a platform/action-adventure video game
released by Konami for the Nintendo 64 on August 7, 1997 in Japan and April 16, 1998 in North America as the
fifth entry in the Ganbare Goemon series. The second Goemon game released in North America, it follows Legend of the
Mystical Ninja and features hybrid elements of platform games like Super Mario 64 and action-adventure games like The
Legend of Zelda series.
The story follows Goemon's struggles to prevent the Peach Mountain Shoguns gang from turning Japan into a
Westernized fine arts theater. The plot calls for three cinematic musical features and battles between giant robots;
like other Ganbare Goemon games, it's peppered with surrealist humor and anachronisms.
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon sold nearly 200,000 copies worldwide. Reviewers praised its graphics, gameplay, and
humorous plot. Critics found the soundtrack and tunes memorable and moving, but criticized the localization,
unintuitive camera control, and dull stretches of travel through Japan. Goemon's Great Adventure followed in 1999
and Goemon Mononoke Sugoroku in 2000.
When you think of great Nintendo 64 games that are 3rd party... then you look towards this title which
is something I have never owned personally but I did own it's sequel, I may end up looking for a copy online in the
near future so I can add it to my growing 2nd N64 Collection.
This game feels completely like an anime since it has it's own theme song as well as the theme track for IMPACT the
giant robot whom spoiler alert gained the ability to talk from Ganbare Goemon 4 and is now a movie star... well
stranger things have happened and it is that unique weirdness that gives this game it's quality.
I did this with all fortune cats collected, I used all characters for each of the dungeon and used only Goemon for
the giant robot battles, these were the best feature of the game which became an important mechanic for the sequel
game... I prefer the boss battles with the single characters although I wished they gave Yae a boss battle of her
own.

Ganbare Goemon 2: Kiteretsu Shogun Magginesu (AKA Let's Go! Goemon 2: Very Strange General Magginesu) is a Super NES game by Konami released only in Japan, and the second of the SNES Ganbare Goemon games. This game was re-released along the first SNES Ganbare Goemon: Yuki-Hime Kyushutsu Emaki (which was released outside Japan as The Legend of the Mystical Ninja) in a Game Boy Advance compilation, which also remained in Japan. This game marks the debut of Goemon's giant robot Impact and of the clockwork ninja Sasuke as a playable character (he previously debuted in The Legend of the Mystical Ninja as a boss). The game has similarities to Super Mario World but it is shorter and arguably much more difficult.
MORE COMMENT: This game was previewed in a lot of magazines in the West and it generated much excitement because it looked like a really good challenge to Super Mario World but it was never released to the US and Europe to a lot of people's disappointment but thanks to emulation years later it is now a platforming classic.
Goemon and Ebisumaru are joined by Sasuke to unite and take on the evil Western General known as Magginesu aka McGuiness and his hoard of Bunnymen... along the way you have access to Impact who is a stable of how this series is just fucking weird, brilliant game I highly recommend you find this... 2 player mode would be a riot.

Ganbare Goemon: Yukihime Kyuushutsu Emaki is a light-hearted action-adventure game for 1-2 players by Konami, and was released for the Super NES in 1992. It was also ported to the Game Boy Advance along with Ganbare Goemon 2: Kiteretsu Shogun Magginesu only in Japan.
This was released to the west as Legend of the Mystical Ninja and it stars Goemon and Ebismaru and let's say it begins with ghosts and then it begins to go into the direction of complete silliness and hilarity, really popular in Japan and Goemon is essentially Konami's version of Mario, also he has his own card in Yu-Gi-Oh known as Goe-Goe the Galant Ninja.

Goemon (series)
Ganbare Goemon (がんばれゴエモン, lit. "Go for it, Goemon!"), known as Goemon or Mystical Ninja in North America and the PAL region, is a long-running video game series produced by Konami. Ebisu Etsunobu is the joint producer of this franchise.
These games revolve around the main character, Goemon, and his exploits. As the name suggests, his character is loosely based on Ishikawa Goemon, the noble thief of Japanese folklore. While the early games of this title emphasized Goemon as a noble thief, he eventually becomes more of a standard video game hero character. His trademarks are his blue bushy hair and weapon of choice, the kiseru. The games are set in a cartoon-like, mystical Feudal Japan. Within this world, every bit of folklore and legend about Japan is true. Although the series has its roots in action adventure, the Ganbare Goemon series has features from genres including RPG, puzzle games, and board games. Ganbare Goemon has proven to be widely popular in Japan with its many video games, with its success spawning a wide series of merchandise and an anime and manga series.

Nintendo 64
The Nintendo 64 (Japanese: ニンテンドー64, Hepburn: Nintendō Rokujūyon), stylized as NINTENDO64 and often referred to as N64, is Nintendo's third home video game console for the international market. Named for its 64-bit central processing unit, it was released in June 1996 in Japan, September 1996 in North America, March 1997 in Europe and Australia, September 1997 in France and December 1997 in Brazil. When you think of great Nintendo 64 games that are 3rd party... then you look towards this title which
is something I have never owned personally but I did own it's sequel, I may end up looking for a copy online in the
near future so I can add it to my growing 2nd N64 Collection.
This game feels completely like an anime since it has it's own theme song as well as the theme track for IMPACT the
giant robot whom spoiler alert gained the ability to talk from Ganbare Goemon 4 and is now a movie star... well
stranger things have happened and it is that unique weirdness that gives this game it's quality.
I did this with all fortune cats collected, I used all characters for each of the dungeon and used only Goemon for
the giant robot battles, these were the best feature of the game which became an important mechanic for the sequel
game... I prefer the boss battles with the single characters although I wished they gave Yae a boss battle of her
own.

This game was re-released along the first SNES Ganbare Goemon: Yuki-Hime Kyushutsu Emaki (which was released outside Japan as The Legend of the Mystical Ninja) in a Game Boy Advance compilation, which also remained in Japan. This game marks the debut of Goemon's giant robot Impact and of the clockwork ninja Sasuke as a playable character (he previously debuted in The Legend of the Mystical Ninja as a boss). The game has similarities to Super Mario World but it is shorter and arguably much more difficult.

In this week of awesome mobile game releases, handheld consoles have been a little quiet bar the release of the Twitch app for PlayStation Vita. Nintendo relieved us yesterday however by releasing a digital download of The Legend of the Mystical Ninja on 3DS. As with most action/platformers there's a minimal plot where you, Goemon, have to rescue of Princess Yuki and complete a bounty of levels and fun minigames ... ....
