After a few weeks of working with TIBBO on this product, I am now of the opinion it is one of the cleanest and simplest little automation / controller units I have reviewed so far. Not the most powerful and not the best for all environments but when it comes to the "Normal Human Occupied" environment, this is certainly a great choice. Price and flexibility is there and my experience with their support over the last few week has been outstanding. As TIBBO adds to the software packages for this is should only get better. Time will tell. Did I say it reminds me of LEGO lol.
The LTPP3 is ideal for applications that require no human-machine interface (HMI) while calling for a significant number of I/O lines and/or functions. Offering 7 tiles for a total of 14 Tibbit module and 14 Tibbit connector sockets, the LTPP3 can be used to construct devices with up to 25 relays, or up to 47 opto-inputs, PWM outputs, open-collector outputs, or other I/O. But this can also fully support Node-Red Dashboard and therefor present quite reasonable browser based HMI Interfaces at a reasonable response time (Look for future videos where I will test more of this out)
Tibbo envisions a variety of use scenarios for the LTTP3. In one scenario, the board is purchased with an Embedded AggreGate license. Embedded AggreGate turns the board into a compact AggreGate server, thus allowing for rapid development and deployment of IOT applications. It is also possible to develop the board's software in node.js and, in the near future, in Tibbo BASIC/C (TiOS porting to Linux is currently under way).
LTPP3 comes with Node.js preinstalled. Tibbo are currently developing node.js modules for accessing the board’s hardware resources and installed Tibbit blocks. You can also utilize many existing node.js modules, such as serial port and socket.io.
I have written a few wrappers for Node-Red that are used in the video and these seem to work very well. The Node.js modules from Tibbo were utilized for e actual communications to the hardware and this is the way I see all modules being utilized as it provides max flexibility and keeps the LEGO feel of the system

TIBBO Project System 3 Linux Modular Controller Review
After a few weeks of working with TIBBO on this product, I am now of the opinion it is one of the cleanest and simplest little automation / controller units I have reviewed so far. Not the most powerful and not the best for all environments but when it comes to the "Normal Human Occupied" environment, this is certainly a great choice. Price and flexibility is there and my experience with their support over the last few week has been outstanding. As TIBBO adds to the software packages for this is should only get better. Time will tell. Did I say it reminds me of LEGO lol. After a few weeks of working with TIBBO on this product, I am now of the opinion it is one of the cleanest and simplest little automation / controller units I have reviewed so far. Not the most powerful and not the best for all environments but when it comes to the "Normal Human Occupied" environment, this is certainly a great choice. Price and flexibility is there and my experience with their support over the last few week has been outstanding. As TIBBO adds to the software packages for this is should only get better. Time will tell. Did I say it reminds me of LEGO lol.
The LTPP3 is ideal for applications that require no human-machine interface (HMI) while calling for a significant number of I/O lines and/or functions. Offering 7 tiles for a total of 14 Tibbit module and 14 Tibbit connector sockets, the LTPP3 can be used to construct devices with up to 25 relays, or up to 47 opto-inputs, PWM outputs, open-collector outputs, or other I/O. But this can also fully support Node-Red Dashboard and therefor present quite reasonable browser based HMI Interfaces at a reasonable response time (Look for future videos where I will test more of this out)
Tibbo envisions a variety of use scenarios for the LTTP3. In one scenario, the board is purchased with an Embedded AggreGate license. Embedded AggreGate turns the board into a compact AggreGate server, thus allowing for rapid development and deployment of IOT applications. It is also possible to develop the board's software in node.js and, in the near future, in Tibbo BASIC/C (TiOS porting to Linux is currently under way).
LTPP3 comes with Node.js preinstalled. Tibbo are currently developing node.js modules for accessing the board’s hardware resources and installed Tibbit blocks. You can also utilize many existing node.js modules, such as serial port and socket.io.
I have written a few wrappers for Node-Red that are used in the video and these seem to work very well. The Node.js modules from Tibbo were utilized for e actual communications to the hardware and this is the way I see all modules being utilized as it provides max flexibility and keeps the LEGO feel of the system

10/100Base-T auto-MDIX Ethernet port with RJ45/magnetics.
