Israel is a nation of immigrants, and first-generation Israelis comprise only 32 percent of the population.
Integration into Israeli society has been one of its main political goals and, under the leadership of founding prime minister David Ben-Gurion, Israel was going to be "the great Jewish melting pot", but it has come under severe strain almost since its inception in 1948.
"There's a gap in Israeli society," says Karen Amit, an Israeli of Moroccan origin.
"They support the arrival of immigrants in theory and love them but, in practice, the ordinary Israeli doesn't open his arms to welcome them. Research about Israeli attitude towards immigrants from Ethiopia has shown surprising results. On the one hand, they love them and have no problem with them. But when asked if they'd accept an Ethiopian neighbour or their children being at school with Ethiopians, their reply was negative."
Jewish people living in Israel today are largely divided into three main groups: Ashkenazi, Sephardi and Mizrahi.
The Ashkenazim are from Germany, France and Eastern Europe. The term "Ashkenazi" comes from the Hebrew word for Germany. Most American Jews today are Ashkenazim, descended from those who arrived from Europe in the mid-1800s and early 1900s.
The Sephardim are from Spain, Portugal, North Africa and the Middle East. The term "Sephardi" comes from the Hebrew word for Spain. Many Jews fled Spain after the end of Muslim rule there in 1492.
Sephardic Jews are often subdivided into Sephardim and Mizrahim, from North Africa and the Middle East. The term "Mizrahi" comes from the Hebrew word for eastern.
There are claims of discrimination against the Mizrahi community in Israel.
"Discrimination and inequality were always a common practice. Western [Ashkenazi] Jews look down on others. They don't want to grant the Mizrahis power ... They want to fill their prisons with them rather than offering them education, culture and guidance," says Pinhas Aloshi, an Israeli of Tunisian origin.
David Hetsroni, an Israeli of Polish origin, came to Israel in 1930.
"My father arrived the following year. He didn't get any help from the state but paid for everything out of his own pocket. But as soon as the Mizrahi Jews arrived, they started complaining they were being oppressed. They used to say, 'You send us to live in Dimona, in the south while you live in Tel Aviv and in the centre. You offer us poor jobs while you get all the decent ones.' We didn't make these allegations. That's what I find hard to accept. natural justice, in my view, says [the allegations] are not fair," Hetsroni says.
Yehouda Shenhav, an Israeli of Iraqi origin, believes that the situation of the third-generation Mizrahi Jews compared with Ashkenazis, is worse today than it was 30 years ago.
"In the Seventies, there was one Mizrahi with a baccalaureate diploma to three Ashkenazis. Four percent of Mizrahi got the baccalaureate compared with 16 percent of Ashkenazim. Today, the gap has widened to about 12 percent against 50 percent.
I re-invented myself as Israeli rather than Arab. The more you distance yourself from Arabness, the more chance you have of integrating into Israeli society. It's sad," says Shenhav.
Rabbi Haim Amsalam says personal progress often depends on whether your family name is Mizrahi or not.
"I know many people who've reached high-ranking positions. They had no choice but to adopt Ashkenazi speech and physical appearance and gradually adopt Ashkenazi culture .... The melting pot that Ben-Gurion wanted to create has failed, because he wanted to melt everyone into one culture, the Western, Ashkenazi one. Why should I abandon my culture and heritage?" says Amsalam.
Israel's Great Divide explores the deep-rooted tension between Israel's Ashkenazi Jews and the Sephardi and Mizrahi communities.

SR 1257 – Why the U.S. Must Continue to Support Israel.
Good afternoon, I’m still reporting on the roots of the US struggle against Islamic terrorism, and why US support for Israel is a must.
Those who have followed this channel for many years may have noticed that I try to stay out of the gunfire lane between those who support the Palestinian cause and those who support Israel.
Why, because the arguments just become so complex, you could waste away your entire life trying to figure out if Israel’s latest response to a bunch of Palestinian knife attacks was justified or was it too much? There is no human way to divine the truth of which side, on a particular day, is right.
So, on the ground level, there is no way to figure it out. But on the macro level, it’s not hard at all.
In Genesis 12, verses 1-3, God provides his blessing on Abraham:
Now the Lord said to Abraham,
“Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you; and I will make a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; and I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

the ancient city of Mesopotamia. Its ruins lie halfway between the modern city of Baghdâd, Iraq, and where the Euphrates River runs into the Persian Gulf. His destination was the land of Canaan – approximately the borders of modern-day Israel, including the West Bank.

So, Abraham – at age 75 - hit the road with all his family and herds – for Canaan land. Once in Canaan, Abraham fathered a son at age 86. His first-born son was named Ishmael, but since his wife, Sarah thought she could not conceive, Ishmael was born by Hagar, the Egyptian handmaiden of Sarah.
Ishmael became the father of all the Arabs. God told Abraham that he would make a great nation from Ishmael, and he would make him a great warrior, however, God also said that Ishmael’s hand would be against everyone, and everyone’s hand would be against him, and that he and his descendants would live in hostility to the rest of the world and he would settle to the east of Canaan land – that is today’s Saudi Arabia.
And that is certainly what we see today. Islam is certainly the avowed enemy of all western nations.
But remember, God made it clear that Ishmael was a part of His overall plan, it’s just that Ishmael would not inherit the promised land – that would go to Isaac, Abraham’s next son, born when Ishmael was 13.
The next year, Ishmael and his mother Hagar were ejected from the family in favor of Isaac and sent to the lands of the east – basically what is now called Saudi Arabia. Ishmael was the first person to speak pure Arabic – mostly descended from an ancient form of the Aramaic language.
Ishmael bore 12 sons, who became tribal chiefs. He died in Mecca, Saudia Arabia, in 1774 BC.
2,344 years later, the prophet Muhammad was born in 570 AD - a direct descendent of Ishmael.
But now back to the descendants of Abraham’s other son, Isaac. About 200 years after Isaac’s birth, his son, Jacob moved the clan into Egypt due to a severe drought in Canaan – about 1880 BC.
At first, the Egyptians welcomed the Jews, but soon they worried that through their hard work the Jews could end up taking over, so they enslaved them. After 430 years of slavery, Moses fled Egypt with all the Jews who then fought their way back into Canaan by 1398 BC.
God reaffirmed the exact boundaries of Canaan to Moses in Numbers, Chapter 34, and reaffirmed his blessing on the Jews in Numbers Chapter 24.
The bottom line is that to most Christians, this is clear Biblical teaching and as long as America continues to bless Israel, then God will continue to bless America. And when – or if – America ever turns its back on Israel, God will curse America.

The effects of country of origin labeling on consumer purchasing have been extensively studied The country of origin effect is also known as the "made-in image" and the "nationality bias."

Good evening, I’m still reporting on SR 1257 – Why the U.S. Must Continue to Support Israel. Good afternoon, I’m still reporting on the roots of the US struggle against Islamic terrorism, and why US support for Israel is a must. Those who have followed this channel for many years may have noticed that I try to stay out of the gunfire lane between those who support the Palestinian cause and those who support Israel. Why, because the arguments just become so complex, you could waste away your entire life trying to figure out if Israel’s latest response to a bunch of Palestinian knife attacks was justified or was it too much? There is no human way to divine the truth of which side, on a particular day, is right. So, on the ground level, there is no way to figure it out. But on the macro level, it’s not hard at all. In Genesis 12, verses 1-3, God provides his blessing on Abraham: Now the Lord said to Abraham, “Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you; and I will make a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; and I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” At this time, Abraham lived in Ur, [http://www.flickr.com/photos/lubinski/] the ancient city of Mesopotamia. Its ruins lie halfway between the modern city of Baghdâd, Iraq, and where the Euphrates River runs into the Persian Gulf. His destination was the land of Canaan – approximately the borders of modern-day Israel, including the West Bank. [insert, attribution: by ] So, Abraham – at age 75 - hit the road with all his family and herds – for Canaan land. Once in Canaan, Abraham fathered a son at age 86. His first-born son was named Ishmael, but since his wife, Sarah thought she could not conceive, Ishmael was born by Hagar, the Egyptian handmaiden of Sarah. Ishmael became the father of all the Arabs. God told Abraham that he would make a great nation from Ishmael, and he would make him a great warrior, however, God also said that Ishmael’s hand would be against everyone, and everyone’s hand would be against him, and that he and his descendants would live in hostility to the rest of the world and he would settle to the east of Canaan land – that is today’s Saudi Arabia. And that is certainly what we see today. Islam is certainly the avowed enemy of all western nations. But remember, God made it clear that Ishmael was a part of His overall plan, it’s just that Ishmael would not inherit the promised land – that would go to Isaac, Abraham’s next son, born when Ishmael was 13. The next year, Ishmael and his mother Hagar were ejected from the family in favor of Isaac and sent to the lands of the east – basically what is now called Saudi Arabia. Ishmael was the first person to speak pure Arabic – mostly descended from an ancient form of the Aramaic language. Ishmael bore 12 sons, who became tribal chiefs. He died in Mecca, Saudia Arabia, in 1774 BC. 2,344 years later, the prophet Muhammad was born in 570 AD - a direct descendent of Ishmael. But now back to the descendants of Abraham’s other son, Isaac. About 200 years after Isaac’s birth, his son, Jacob moved the clan into Egypt due to a severe drought in Canaan – about 1880 BC. At first, the Egyptians welcomed the Jews, but soon they worried that through their hard work the Jews could end up taking over, so they enslaved them. After 430 years of slavery, Moses fled Egypt with all the Jews who then fought their way back into Canaan by 1398 BC. God reaffirmed the exact boundaries of Canaan to Moses in Numbers, Chapter 34, and reaffirmed his blessing on the Jews in Numbers Chapter 24. The bottom line is that to most Christians, this is clear Biblical teaching and as long as America continues to bless Israel, then God will continue to bless America. Israel is a nation of immigrants, and first-generation Israelis comprise only 32 percent of the population.
Integration into Israeli society has been one of its main political goals and, under the leadership of founding prime minister David Ben-Gurion, Israel was going to be "the great Jewish melting pot", but it has come under severe strain almost since its inception in 1948.
"There's a gap in Israeli society," says Karen Amit, an Israeli of Moroccan origin.
"They support the arrival of immigrants in theory and love them but, in practice, the ordinary Israeli doesn't open his arms to welcome them. Research about Israeli attitude towards immigrants from Ethiopia has shown surprising results. On the one hand, they love them and have no problem with them. But when asked if they'd accept an Ethiopian neighbour or their children being at school with Ethiopians, their reply was negative."
Jewish people living in Israel today are largely divided into three main groups: Ashkenazi, Sephardi and Mizrahi.
The Ashkenazim are from Germany, France and Eastern Europe. The term "Ashkenazi" comes from the Hebrew word for Germany. Most American Jews today are Ashkenazim, descended from those who arrived from Europe in the mid-1800s and early 1900s.
The Sephardim are from Spain, Portugal, North Africa and the Middle East. The term "Sephardi" comes from the Hebrew word for Spain. Many Jews fled Spain after the end of Muslim rule there in 1492.
Sephardic Jews are often subdivided into Sephardim and Mizrahim, from North Africa and the Middle East. The term "Mizrahi" comes from the Hebrew word for eastern.
There are claims of discrimination against the Mizrahi community in Israel.
"Discrimination and inequality were always a common practice. Western [Ashkenazi] Jews look down on others. They don't want to grant the Mizrahis power ... They want to fill their prisons with them rather than offering them education, culture and guidance," says Pinhas Aloshi, an Israeli of Tunisian origin.
David Hetsroni, an Israeli of Polish origin, came to Israel in 1930.
"My father arrived the following year. He didn't get any help from the state but paid for everything out of his own pocket. But as soon as the Mizrahi Jews arrived, they started complaining they were being oppressed. They used to say, 'You send us to live in Dimona, in the south while you live in Tel Aviv and in the centre. You offer us poor jobs while you get all the decent ones.' We didn't make these allegations. That's what I find hard to accept. natural justice, in my view, says [the allegations] are not fair," Hetsroni says.
Yehouda Shenhav, an Israeli of Iraqi origin, believes that the situation of the third-generation Mizrahi Jews compared with Ashkenazis, is worse today than it was 30 years ago.
"In the Seventies, there was one Mizrahi with a baccalaureate diploma to three Ashkenazis. Four percent of Mizrahi got the baccalaureate compared with 16 percent of Ashkenazim. Today, the gap has widened to about 12 percent against 50 percent.
I re-invented myself as Israeli rather than Arab. The more you distance yourself from Arabness, the more chance you have of integrating into Israeli society. It's sad," says Shenhav.
Rabbi Haim Amsalam says personal progress often depends on whether your family name is Mizrahi or not.
"I know many people who've reached high-ranking positions. They had no choice but to adopt Ashkenazi speech and physical appearance and gradually adopt Ashkenazi culture .... The melting pot that Ben-Gurion wanted to create has failed, because he wanted to melt everyone into one culture, the Western, Ashkenazi one. Why should I abandon my culture and heritage?" says Amsalam.
Israel's Great Divide explores the deep-rooted tension between Israel's Ashkenazi Jews and the Sephardi and Mizrahi communities.

SR 1257 – Why the U.S. Must Continue to Support Israel.
Good afternoon, I’m still reporting on the roots of the US struggle against Islamic terrorism, and why US support for Israel is a must.
Those who have followed this channel for many years may have noticed that I try to stay out of the gunfire lane between those who support the Palestinian cause and those who support Israel.
Why, because the arguments just become so complex, you could waste away your entire life trying to figure out if Israel’s latest response to a bunch of Palestinian knife attacks was justified or was it too much? There is no human way to divine the truth of which side, on a particular day, is right.
So, on the ground level, there is no way to figure it out. But on the macro level, it’s not hard at all.
In Genesis 12, verses 1-3, God provides his blessing on Abraham:
Now the Lord said to Abraham,
“Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you; and I will make a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; and I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

the ancient city of Mesopotamia. Its ruins lie halfway between the modern city of Baghdâd, Iraq, and where the Euphrates River runs into the Persian Gulf. His destination was the land of Canaan – approximately the borders of modern-day Israel, including the West Bank.

So, Abraham – at age 75 - hit the road with all his family and herds – for Canaan land. Once in Canaan, Abraham fathered a son at age 86. His first-born son was named Ishmael, but since his wife, Sarah thought she could not conceive, Ishmael was born by Hagar, the Egyptian handmaiden of Sarah.
Ishmael became the father of all the Arabs. God told Abraham that he would make a great nation from Ishmael, and he would make him a great warrior, however, God also said that Ishmael’s hand would be against everyone, and everyone’s hand would be against him, and that he and his descendants would live in hostility to the rest of the world and he would settle to the east of Canaan land – that is today’s Saudi Arabia.

At first, the Egyptians welcomed the Jews, but soon they worried that through their hard work the Jews could end up taking over, so they enslaved them. After 430 years of slavery, Moses fled Egypt with all the Jews who then fought their way back into Canaan by 1398 BC.
God reaffirmed the exact boundaries of Canaan to Moses in Numbers, Chapter 34, and reaffirmed his blessing on the Jews in Numbers Chapter 24.
The bottom line is that to most Christians, this is clear Biblical teaching and as long as America continues to bless Israel, then God will continue to bless America. And when – or if – America ever turns its back on Israel, God will curse America.

SR 1257 – Why the U.S. Must Continue to Support Israel.
Good afternoon, I’m still reporting on the roots of the US struggle against Islamic terrorism, and why US support for Israel is a must.
Those who have followed this channel for many years may have noticed that I try to stay out of the gunfire lane between those who support the Palestinian cause and those who support Israel.
Why, because the arguments just become so complex, you could waste away your entire life trying to figure out if Israel’s latest response to a bunch of Palestinian knife attacks was justified or was it too much? There is no human way to divine the truth of which side, on a particular day, is right.
So, on the ground level, there is no way to figure it out. But on the macro level, it’s not hard at all.
In Genesis 12, verses 1-3, God provides his blessing on Abraham:
Now the Lord said to Abraham,
“Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you; and I will make a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; and I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

the ancient city of Mesopotamia. Its ruins lie halfway between the modern city of Baghdâd, Iraq, and where the Euphrates River runs into the Persian Gulf. His destination was the land of Canaan – approximately the borders of modern-day Israel, including the West Bank.

So, Abraham – at age 75 - hit the road with all his family and herds – for Canaan land. Once in Canaan, Abraham fathered a son at age 86. His first-born son was named Ishmael, but since his wife, Sarah thought she could not conceive, Ishmael was born by Hagar, the Egyptian handmaiden of Sarah.
Ishmael became the father of all the Arabs. God told Abraham that he would make a great nation from Ishmael, and he would make him a great warrior, however, God also said that Ishmael’s hand would be against everyone, and everyone’s hand would be against him, and that he and his descendants would live in hostility to the rest of the world and he would settle to the east of Canaan land – that is today’s Saudi Arabia.

The following is a list of things to do in Israel with a focus on the top attractions in this travel guide:
1) Regardless of whether you can swim (or not swim) well you will most certainly float when visiting the Dead Sea. Covering yourself in gooey mud and joining others floating is one of the top attractions in Israel.
2) No trip to Israel would be complete without sampling the local cuisine and especially the street food. With this in mind we walked all the way from our hotel room in Tel Aviv to Jaffa - an ancient city renowned for its amazing hummus and other street food. Aside from just hummus we were able to try Shaksouka, cheese stuffed pastries, malabi and kanafeh.
3) Having the opportunity to take a tour of the West Bank (or Palestine) is an eye opening experience. Media coverage, from the perspective of the west, often depicts this area as being quite unruly and poor; however, a tour there really dispels a lot of myths. We had the opportunity to eat falafel, walking around the streets and get a real sense of what life is like in this region. Some highlights included visiting Sheppard's Field, the Jordan River and oldest city in the world - Jericho. To end our trip we drank beer at the West Bank Palestinian brewery.
4) Getting off the beaten track a little we visited Rosh Hanikra. Known as the window to the Mediterranean we were treated to breathtaking views and an amazing sunset.
5) Aside from just eating our way around Jaffa, we took the time to properly explore it on foot. One of the top highlights was visiting a traditional flea market,
6) Taking the cable car up to visit Masada was a welcome relief considering how hot it was on the day we visited. As we wandered about we visited an old water cistern and Byzantine church.
7) Caesarea! The ruins of the ancient city once given from Agus Caesar to Harrod the Great was an experience we'll never forget. Walking around in the Hippodrome allowed me to visualize what the old chariot races must have been like.
8) One of my favorite meals in Israel was prepared by a Druze family. This amazing feast, in the form of a buffet, featured kebabs, olives, chicken and stuffed cabbage just to name a few.
9) Wondering wear to rest your sleepy head while traveling in Israel? Look no further than the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazareth. This converted Arab Mansion.
10) One of the more frontier attractions was visiting Golan Heights and the Sea of Galilee. We toured around the Banias Reserve and Mount Bental.
11) Considering how tasty the food is in Israel it would be a shame to leave without knowing how to recreate these delectable delights back home in your own kitchen. Fortunately, for us, we were able to take a cooking class at Dan Gourmet in Tel Aviv. We learned how to make Lahmacun and charred eggplant amongst other dishes.
12) Have you ever wondered how olive oil is made? Visiting an olive press answered our all of our questions and made us appreciate the craft of making this high quality cooking oil. For the best vantage point of Nazareth we headed to Mount Precipice for panoramic 360 degree views. Finally, we visited Haifa to check out the famous Bahá'í gardens.

11) Considering how tasty the food is in Israel it would be a shame to leave without knowing how to recreate these delectable delights back home in your own kitchen. Fortunately, for us, we were able to take a cooking class at Dan Gourmet in Tel Aviv. We learned how to make Lahmacun and charred eggplant amongst other dishes.
12) Have you ever wondered how olive oil is made? Visiting an olive press answered our all of our questions and made us appreciate the craft of making this high quality cooking oil. For the best vantage point of Nazareth we headed to Mount Precipice for panoramic 360 degree views. Finally, we visited Haifa to check out the famous Bahá'í gardens.

Tư duy vượt thời đại
Tiếp và làm việc với tôi, ngài bộ trưởng đồng nhiệm Isarel, nói rất nhiều điều bổ ích; Với tôi có 4 điều lắng đọng và sâu sắc nhất:
Việt Nam và Israel đều là những nước đi sau. Nếu đặt mục tiêu như Việt Nam đang làm là tiến cùng thời đại thì mãi mãi vẫn đi sau. Tư duy hành động của Israel là: Tiến vượt thời đại.
Việt Nam thường nói phấn đấu năm sau cao hơn năm trước. Như vậy là năm sau vẫn là năm trước có tiến lên một tý. Tư duy của Israel là phấn đấu để năm sau không chỉ hơn năm trước mà còn khác biệt năm trước.
Người Isarel ở khắp thế giới (trong nước hơn 7 triệu, ngoài nước gần 8 triệu) đồng tình góp vốn xây dựng quỹ “Vì khoa học CN tương lai”.
Mỗi người mỗi năm góp 50 đô la, tối đa không hạn chế. Nhờ quỹ này mà chúng tôi có được những bước tiến thần kỳ về khoa học công nghệ, như sản xuất ô tô chạy bằng điện, chỉ trong vòng 3 năm từ ý tưởng của Thủ tướng thành sản phẩm đồng loạt trên đất nước.
Hay mỗi nhà dân có 20 tấm pin thu năng lượng mặt trời để có điện dùng quanh năm không phải trả tiền. Rồi công nghệ hút áp lực của xe hơi chạy trên đường bộ để tạo ra dòng điện vừa giảm tiếng ồn vừa có nguồn điện phục vụ dân sinh với giá thành thấp nhất.
Xét về góc độ duy trì và phát triển nòi giống, thì con vật và con người không khác nhau nhiều lắm. Con vật cũng biết xây tổ ấm, biết nuôi dạy con trưởng thành, biết bảo vệ giống nòi. Dấu ấn khó phai
Khi nghiên cứu về thành quả của công cuộc ứng dụng CNTT của Israel, chúng tôi rất ngưỡng mộ về thành quả “3 không” mà bạn đã đạt được từ khá lâu là: Không dùng giấy tờ, không có khủng bố và không có bộ máy bảo vệ cơ quan, doanh nghiệp tất cả đều bằng công nghệ điện tử.
Trong điều kiện của một đất nước nằm trong vòng 350 triệu dân của thế giới Ả rập còn nhiều bất đồng và hàng vạn dân Ả rập đang sinh sống trong lòng đất nước Isarel vẫn bình yên.
Tôi đến đất nước Isarel lần đầu (2010) thì thủ tục nhập cảnh rất chặt chẽ.
Khi đến Israel lần thứ hai (2013), tôi vừa nhìn vào màn hình an ninh ở sân bay thì lập tức cơ quan an ninh thông báo "Ngài vào Israel lần 2 rồi, mời ngài vào và không hỏi gì thêm".
Trong khi ở Việt Nam, dù là bệnh viện công nhưng khi bệnh nhân nhập viện thì mọi xét nghiệm của bệnh viện khác đều không được chấp nhận. Bệnh nhân phải xét nghiệm nhiều lần, mất thời gian, thêm chi phí, mệt mỏi và chờ đợi.

Ngành nông nghiệp Israel phát triển thần kỳ trên thực tiễn: Sa mạc toàn phần, lượng mưa hàng năm chỉ bằng 2% của Việt Nam.

Tư duy vượt thời đại
Tiếp và làm việc với tôi, ngài bộ trưởng đồng nhiệm Isarel, nói rất nhiều điều bổ ích; Với tôi có 4 điều lắng đọng và sâu sắc nhất:
Việt Nam và Israel đều là những nước đi sau. Nếu đặt mục tiêu như Việt Nam đang làm là tiến cùng thời đại thì mãi mãi vẫn đi sau. Tư duy hành động của Israel là: Tiến vượt thời đại.
Việt Nam thường nói phấn đấu năm sau cao hơn năm trước. Như vậy là năm sau vẫn là năm trước có tiến lên một tý. Tư duy của Israel là phấn đấu để năm sau không chỉ hơn năm trước mà còn khác biệt năm trước.
Người Isarel ở khắp thế giới (trong nước hơn 7 triệu, ngoài nước gần 8 triệu) đồng tình góp vốn xây dựng quỹ “Vì khoa học CN tương lai”.
Mỗi người mỗi năm góp 50 đô la, tối đa không hạn chế. Nhờ quỹ này mà chúng tôi có được những bước tiến thần kỳ về khoa học công nghệ, như sản xuất ô tô chạy bằng điện, chỉ trong vòng 3 năm từ ý tưởng của Thủ tướng thành sản phẩm đồng loạt trên đất nước.
Hay mỗi nhà dân có 20 tấm pin thu năng lượng mặt trời để có điện dùng quanh năm không phải trả tiền. Rồi công nghệ hút áp lực của xe hơi chạy trên đường bộ để tạo ra dòng điện vừa giảm tiếng ồn vừa có nguồn điện phục vụ dân sinh với giá thành thấp nhất.
Xét về góc độ duy trì và phát triển nòi giống, thì con vật và con người không khác nhau nhiều lắm. Con vật cũng biết xây tổ ấm, biết nuôi dạy con trưởng thành, biết bảo vệ giống nòi. Nhưng con vật chỉ thua con người một điều duy nhất là không biết đọc. Vì vậy con người không chịu đọc thì cũng giống con vật. Nói điều này làm cho nhiều người chạnh lòng nhưng lại rất cần trong thời đại internet khi hơn 70% tri thức của con người nhờ xem, đọc và nghe mà có.
Dấu ấn khó phai
Khi nghiên cứu về thành quả của công cuộc ứng dụng CNTT của Israel, chúng tôi rất ngưỡng mộ về thành quả “3 không” mà bạn đã đạt được từ khá lâu là: Không dùng giấy tờ, không có khủng bố và không có bộ máy bảo vệ cơ quan, doanh nghiệp tất cả đều bằng công nghệ điện tử.
Trong điều kiện của một đất nước nằm trong vòng 350 triệu dân của thế giới Ả rập còn nhiều bất đồng và hàng vạn dân Ả rập đang sinh sống trong lòng đất nước Isarel vẫn bình yên.
Tôi đến đất nước Isarel lần đầu (2010) thì thủ tục nhập cảnh rất chặt chẽ.
Khi đến Israel lần thứ hai (2013), tôi vừa nhìn vào màn hình an ninh ở sân bay thì lập tức cơ quan an ninh thông báo "Ngài vào Israel lần 2 rồi, mời ngài vào và không hỏi gì thêm".
Trong khi ở Việt Nam, dù là bệnh viện công nhưng khi bệnh nhân nhập viện thì mọi xét nghiệm của bệnh viện khác đều không được chấp nhận. Bệnh nhân phải xét nghiệm nhiều lần, mất thời gian, thêm chi phí, mệt mỏi và chờ đợi.
Tưới cây tự động trên sa mạc
Ngành nông nghiệp Israel phát triển thần kỳ trên thực tiễn: Sa mạc toàn phần, lượng mưa hàng năm chỉ bằng 2% của Việt Nam.
