London i/ˈlʌndən/ is the capital and most populous city of England and the United Kingdom. Standing on the River Thames, London has been a major settlement for two millennia. It was founded by the Romans, who named it Londinium. London's ancient core, the City of London, largely retains its 1.12-square-mile (2.9 km2) medieval boundaries and in 2011 had a resident population of 7,375, making it the smallest city in England. Since at least the 19th century, the term London has also referred to the metropolis developed around this core. The bulk of this conurbation forms Greater London, a region of England governed by the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. The conurbation also covers two English counties: the small district of the City of London and the county of Greater London. The latter constitutes the vast majority of London, though historically it was split between Middlesex (a now abolished county), Essex, Surrey, Kent and Hertfordshire.

Secrets Of Great British Castles : The Tower of London Historian Dan Jones explores the turbulent history behind six of Britainʼs most famous castles: Dover, the Tower of London, Warwick, Caernarfon, Stirling and Carrickfergus. Behind the walls of these celebrated strongholds are stories of intrigue, drama, romance, rebellion, and murder. Dan Jones recounts some of the many classic tales from 1000 years of British history, featuring a stellar cast of kings, queens, rogues, rebels, victims and villains.
During its near-1000 year history, the Tower of London has been used as a royal residence, prison, armoury, zoo, treasure house and storehouse but every one of these uses stems from its might as a fortress and symbol of royal power. And today it is still a working fortress with a military presence, daily ceremonies including the Ceremony of the Keys to secure the Tower for the night and the community of Beefeaters and Tower officials that live here with their families. Here, Yeoman Warder (or Beefeater to you and I) Dickie Dover gives an introduction to this British icon.

This was later very regretted by me and i realized it was the stupidest idea ever. Thanks for watching! Tower Bridge London ~ History Of London Bridge [Full Documentary] NEW HD Tower Bridge (built 1886–1894) is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London which crosses the River Thames. It is close to the Tower of London, from which it takes its name, and has become an iconic symbol of London. The bridge consists of two towers tied together at the upper level by means of two horizontal walkways, designed to withstand the horizontal forces exerted by the suspended sections of the bridge on the landward sides of the towers. The vertical component of the forces in the suspended sections and the vertical reactions of the two walkways are carried by the two robust towers. The bascule pivots and operating machinery are housed in the base of each tower. The bridge's present colour scheme d...
Listen to the full audiobook, or read it's ebook version: http://easyget.us/mabk/30/en/B00XBMN7KE/book The "valuable . . . charming" (esther Woolfson) story of the mysterious Tower of London ravens Charles Ii feared Britain would fall if the ravens ever left the Tower of London.yet the truth is that they arrived in Victorian times as props in gory plays for tourists. But the ravens' past has far more high drama. From the plains of the North American Indians to the arctic tundra, all the way to the Tower of London, they have been symbols of cruelty, of survival through adversity, and a loveable icon. Boria Sax shows how our attitudes to the raven and to the natural world have changed enormously over the centuries. By describing the distinct place of this special bird in Western culture, he ...
Walking across London's famed Tower Bridge from the North Bank to the South Bank. Yes, I realize my hair is thinning out up top. The downside of getting old and having a 360 cam that catches everything. :-( Video shot with LG 360 (LG-R105) cam mounted on selfie stick and controlled via LG Android App. NOTE: As a reference, actual video quality is better than you see here (YouTube compresses to about 36% of original quality) Sorry for the wobble and occasional pauses in the video as I walked. I was trying to keep the camera steady as I navigated the wind and crowds. I also did my best to be respectful to others attempting selfies and pictures. Check out my other 360 videos from my recent travels to London and Paris on my YouTube Channel. Thanks for viewing and please subscribe!

August vlog. Busy month with my bday and my boyfriends bday being 10 days apart. We decided to camp out for a night in Tottenham Marshes away from the city noise and people. Had to pick the spot in advance so we could clear some shrubs and tidy the place up before turning up with our party gear on the day. The Tower of London Murders - Solving The Mystery (SECRET HISTORY DOCUMENTARY) How the destiny of England was changed by the disappearance of young prince's from the fabled Tower. Were they murdered on the orders of their uncle Richard III of England? Or was the mystery even greater?
Saper dove andare…
Questa ciurma ribelle…
Un incerto futuro…
Lontano andrei…
Volevo fare il pompiere
La tv sforna eroi
Impossibili e belli
Come un sogno irreale
Ho fatto il fuochista
Mi son dato da fare
E col vento e col fuoco
Il fuochista e il pompiere
Ma il futuro non ? come un sogno
Cancellato ma vivo… l’uomo ? sempre l?
Combatte e si innamora
La terra arde viva… chi l’ascolter??
Nostra madre terra
In attesa sta
Ma dal nuovo nulla il fuoco continuer?
Saper dove andare
Lontano andrei…
Vecchi cani bastardi…
Cos? siamo noi…
Per fratello un fuochista
Per amico un bandito
E con loro che vivo
Non me ne vergogno mai
Una ciurma ribelle
Incerto futuro
Saper dove andare…
