Leave militant-occupied regions of east Ukraine to their fate - so argues a new editoral in the Washington Post. But that seems to fly in the face of pronouncements from Ukrainian leaders who have repeatedly said that the Donbas region must remain part of Ukraine. So why abandon these regions? The Washington Post lays out its arguement, but first it is critical of the White House and its European allies for its stance toward the Ukrainian government. For people keeping tabs on the current civil war in Ukraine, it is common to hear pro-Russian sources and supporters labeling the Ukrainian government as “Nazis” and “fascists”, often bringing up comparisons between the current war in Ukraine and the Soviet fight against Germany during World War 2. So how prevalent are far right nationalists in Ukraine? Let’s examine the details.
Excellent documentary about the current Mafia-"government" of the Ukraine. Serial murderers, robbers, drug-traffickers, slave traders... This is modern "political and business elite" of that country. And it is them who blame Ukrainian freedom-fighters in "extremism", "nazism" and even "Russophobia" and "anti-Semitism". Ufortunately, in Russian only but... who cares?

Our country will not be saved neither by reformatting of the parliamentary coalition, nor by electing the new Government or by re-election of the Parliament because of the existing legislation, oligarchs control of the media,...
Check out more episodes of VICE News here: http://bit.ly/PILfBe Kiev's Euromaidan protesters began 2014 the same way they ended 2013: by rioting in the streets in an attempt to bring down their government. Key victories have already been won, with Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and his cabinet resigning. The demonstrators also forced the annulment of a new anti-protest law that was, ironically, the cause of much of their protesting. The protesters haven't been contented by this, however, and are still out in the streets, demanding the head of President Viktor Yanukovych and the staging of fresh elections. What began as a protest against the Ukrainian government's close ties with Russian leader Vladimir Putin has become a focus for wider discontent. However, Yanukovych seems in no mood to r...
We bring to the attention of Global Research Readers a video on the atrocities committed in Eastern Ukraine. The mainstream media is silent on the issue. These videos are the object of censorship. Ukraine's National Guard which is supported by the West is controlled by Neo-Nazis with Nazi emblems. Documented in the video, war crimes are being committed by both the Ukrainian Army and the Ukrainian National Guard. In the media's coverage of unfolding atrocities directed against civilians in Eastern Ukraine, the words Nazi, Fascist or Neo-Nazi are a taboo. They have been eliminated from the anthology of investigative reporting. The mainstream media by denying the very existence of these crimes against humanity committed by Neo-Nazi military and paramilitary formations is complicit under t...

But on the 18th, massive and fatal clashes broke out between police and protesters outside the Ukrainian parliament building, the Rada. After hours of fierce fighting, the protesters were pushed back onto their last lines of defense in Independence square and just about forced the police back after an attempt to clear the square. Once the dust had settled almost 30 police and protesters had been killed, on a day where firearms were used openly by both sides for the first time. Vice News arrived a day later to a city on lockdown and Independence square resembling a d...
On April 6, the Netherlands will vote yes or no to a deeper cooperation between Ukraine and the EU. The destiny of Europe's biggest nation is potentially in the hands of the citizens of the Netherlands. This is exactly why, Ukraine Today with the cooperation of Euromaidan Press has launched #DUTCHINUA project. Our goal is to gather the views and opinions of the Dutch businessmen and entrepreneurs who work in Ukraine. As well as provide analysis by the experts from the Netherlands who can assess the influence of the referendum on the future of Ukraine and the E.U. as a whole. http://www.democracynow.org - Ukrainian anti-government protesters have rejected an amnesty bill aimed at ending the country's political unrest, refusing to vacate occupied government buildings and dismantle their street blockades in exchange for the release of jailed activists. The demonstrations in the Ukraine are collectively referred to as "Euromaidan." They began in late November after President Viktor Yanukovich reversed his decision to sign a long-awaited trade deal with the European Union to forge stronger ties with Russia instead. While the Ukrainian opposition has been hailed in the West as a democratic, grassroots movement, we host a debate on whether the rush to back opponents of Russian President Vladimir Putin obscures a more complex reality beneath the surface. We are joined...
