This is the first 30 minutes of the historical 1994 interview with James Files, the confessed grassy knoll assassin of John F. Kennedy. This first interview was done by Bob Vernon. James was interviewed a second (and final) time on november 19, 2003 by myself and Jim Marrs. That is also an on camera interview, unedited of 3 hours. The two interviews are entirely consistent. The only difference is that James is a lot more relaxed, detailed and outspoken in the 2003 interview. As you will probably notice, he is more reluctant and a little nervous in this first interview, most likely because he reveals his part in the assassination for the first time. He is also hesitant to divulge the participation of the CIA. Interestingly he compares the mafia to the CIA as "the goldfish in the shark's po...

Australian writer and poet, Clive James, in one of the best, most revealing interviews with actor Katharine Hepburn in her New York home. The first and last time I saw this was in 1985 on a St. Louis public broadcast station. Hepburn talks about her parents, their activism, her upbringing, why she shaved her head at age 10 ["I desperately wanted to be a boy"], and she continues throughout the interview referring to herself as a man. Hollywood and acting; how she chooses film roles and those she stays away from. Getting old and getting old in the US. In the mid-80's, she was still not talking about her personal relationship with fellow actor Spencer Tracy, so when James delves deeper into the topic, without missing a beat Hepburn warns him off mid-sentence. She is just as tight-lipped abo...

Abstract Writing test cases is laborious, often a little neglected, and ultimately rather unsatisfying, since errors slip through even the most comprehensive test suites. Can we generate tests instead? In this talk I’ll show test case generation using QuickCheck, drawing on experience of applying it at scale at Quviq. I’ll try to explain why property-based testing can be so effective, and how to use it most effectively. Bio I am a professor at the Computing Science Department at Chalmers University of Technology, and a member of the Functional Programming Group. I am also CEO at Quviq AB, which offers a commercial version of QuickCheck, where I spend half of my time.

Steve Hughes is a comedy legend. He has sliced and diced up some of the best stages that the world comedy circuit has to offer. I've worked with Steve many times, I was even working with him on the night that I met Ashna. Several years ago he had a meltdown that led to him moving back home to Australia. Finally after much worry I got to come back to Sydney and see him. He is as feisty as ever even if he has turned to the right on some issues. Steve is one of my all time favorite comedians and someone I always enjoy shooting the shit with. After not seeing him for four years I am happy to have this conversation with him to catch up, find out how his meltdown happened and how he has recovered from it to be back up and telling it like it is on the comedy stage. There is no one else like h...
