Rafael discusses with Mercedes several topics. First of all, he is curious, why Manuela and Mariana are still sleeping, when it is 10 AM. Secondly, he tries to explain economic transactions, which needs to be done in order to save the buidling and rest of lands in Caňada Seca. They are interrupted by Manuela. Mercedes sends Manuela to wake up Mariana, and Rafael tries to start again his explanation. He is interrupted by Manuela again, who informs Mercedes, that Mariana is away. When Mercedes starts panicking, Mariana appears with Gustavo, who she picked up at Caňada Seca train station. Rafael welcomes him with kind words "Ahh, the horse-racing expert!" After lunch, Mariana and Gustavo excuse themselves from the company and go away together. Mercedes also moves herself in her bedroom. Rudy and Manuela are alone and Rudy informs Manuela, that he will travel abroad, because there's nothing which should retain him in Caňada Seca. Bernarda talks to doctor Pintos and doctor Pintos warns Bernarda, that some new lady could occupy freed place of Isabel. Manuela reminds herself of Fernando and makes notes in her diary. Mercedes appears and suggests Manuela, that she should make any decision without hate from her past. In front of Salinas' residence, Antonio asks Fernando about Manuela. Fernando replies, he is in love with her and he wants to marry her and move her into residence. Rudy asks Manuela, if she will marry him. In Jacinta's hut, Isabel walks slowly around the table and thinks how to retreat home to Fernando. Teresa walks in library and sees Fernando happy. Manuela informs Rudy, that there's no need for him to travel abroad, she will marry him. Fernando informs Teresa, he will search for woman, who he is in love with. Rudy announces to all in Verezza's ranch, that he will marry Manuela. All members of family are happy, but Luisa looks very surprised and shocked. Fernando walks in Isabel's bedroom and thinks about Manuela and Isabel. He realizes, that they are the same in terms of physique, but as person, Fernando has now feelings only for Manuela. Nina reproaches Rudy, that his marriage with Manuela are based on one way feelings and passion. In the middle of the argue, Nina starts french kissing with Rudy. Manuela tells to Mariana, that she will love Rudy in another way, than Fernando. Mariana is convinced, that she is in love with Gustavo, who could never lie to her. Gustavo is in barn and talks to the puppy. He tells to puppy, he is traitor and liar. In the middle of the speech, Gustavo hears weird noises. When he locates the noises, he spots naked Rudy and Nina. Rudy becomes angry and sends Gustavo away.
