Feral (subculture)

The feral subculture is a counter-cultural social movement originating in the latter part of the twentieth century, mainly centered in Australia. The movement reached its heyday in the mid 1990s, in parallel with other similar movements in Europe and elsewhere. In common with those movements, the feral phenomenon can be seen as part of the wider counterculture. In Australia, the ferals are often seen as an amalgam of the punk and hippie subcultures, with a radical environmental philosophy. The movement, during the 1990s, was the subject of national attention, and as a phenomenon has been the subject of anthropological attention as a characteristically Australian "alternative lifestyle".

"Going Tribal", a documentary by Light Source Films, examined the subculture in 1995.

The feral movement is strongly associated with radical environmentalism and a communal lifestyle, with many members residing on multiple occupancy properties. In common with the hippies before them, many members of the feral movement rely on a system of crash pads, squats, and extended networks of "friends of friends" throughout Australia to travel with a minimum of financial outlay. Although the itinerant lifestyle and environmental beliefs most associated with the feral movement are akin to those of the earlier hippie movement, the ferals adopted a confrontational, politically charged style of dress, music, and philosophy more often associated with the punk movement.

Plot

A feral boy is found in the woods and brought back to live in society. Uncomfortable in this new environment, the boy tries to adapt by using the same strategies and tactics that kept him safe in the wild.

World of Warcraft: Legion is the sixth expansion set to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) World of Warcraft, following Warlords of Draenor. It was announced on August 6, 2015 at Gamescom 2015. At Blizzcon 2015, the release date was announced to be on or before September 21, 2016.

The expansion raises the existing level cap from 100 to 110, features artifact weapons for each classes' specialization, includes a new area on Azeroth called the Broken Isles and introduces the demon hunter hero class that starts at level 98. It will initially include nine 5-man dungeons and two raids.

Gameplay

The expansion allows players to level up to 110, an increase from the cap of 100 in the previous expansion Warlords of Draenor.

The development team made a number of changes to the player versus player (PvP) aspects of the game. There is a PvP honor system that unlocks PvP honor talents and there are separate abilities for use only in PvP that are not available in player versus environment gameplay. Honor talents are abilities earned through increased levels in PvP and are activated while players engage in PvP. Once players hit maximum honor level, they can choose to earn a prestige level that resets the honor talents earned and gives cosmetic bonuses. In PvP combat, gear will be nullified and all bonuses related to gear will be deactivated, with the exception of Artifact weapons and its related powers. Instead, Legion will predetermine a set of stats configured to a player's specialization. However, a player's average item level will still factor in PvP; for every one point increase in average item level it results in a 0.1% increase to PvP stats.

Gamera 2: Attack of Legion

Gamera 2: Attack of Legion (ガメラ2 レギオン襲来, Gamera Tsū: Region Shūrai, lit. "Gamera 2: Legion Invasion", also known as Gamera 2: Advent of Legion) is a 1996 Kaiju film directed by Shusuke Kaneko. It is a sequel to Gamera: Guardian of the Universe and the tenth Gamera film in the series. The film introduces the Legion, a race of insectoid extraterrestrials that invade the Earth, prompting Gamera to come to the planet's defense. It was followed by the sequel, Gamera 3: Awakening of Irys.

Plot

A year has passed since the battle between Gamera and the Gyaos, and Japan has struggled to rebuild its cities in the meantime. The military has kept a cautious vigil on the nation's coast, but so far Gamera has yet to return. Suddenly, a series of bizarre incidents reveal a new threat to the land of the rising sun. On a moonlit stroll, science instructor Midori Honami watches as a huge meteor plunges into the mountain snow. The next night, two security guards are horrified as they see large insect-like creatures stealing glass bottles from a nearby warehouse. Soon after, the entire city of Sapporo is covered with strange plants and the link between these events soon becomes clear.
