Matthew William Sorum (born November 19, 1960) is an American drummer and percussionist. He is best known as both a former member of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he recorded three studio albums, and as a member of the supergroup Velvet Revolver. Sorum is currently a member of the touring project, Kings of Chaos, and is a former member of both The Cult and Y Kant Tori Read. Sorum was also a member of Guns N' Roses side-projects, Slash's Snakepit and Neurotic Outsiders, and released a solo album, Hollywood Zen, in 2004.
After performing on synthpop band Y Kant Tori Read's sole album, Sorum joined The Cult in 1989 to tour in support of their fourth studio album, Sonic Temple (1989). During the tour, Sorum was spotted by Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash and subsequently replaced their drummer Steven Adler in 1990. Remaining in the band for seven years, Sorum recorded the albums, Use Your Illusion I (1991), Use Your Illusion II (1991), and "The Spaghetti Incident?" (1993), before departing in 1997 following an argument with frontman Axl Rose.

Michael Andrew "Duff" McKagan (born February 5, 1964) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and author. He is best known for his twelve-year tenure as the bassist of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. During his later years with the band, he released a solo album, Believe in Me (1993), and formed the short-lived supergroup Neurotic Outsiders.
Following his departure from Guns N' Roses in 1997, McKagan briefly reunited with his pre-success Seattle punk band 10 Minute Warning. He then formed the still-active hard rock band Loaded, in which he performs lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Between 2002 and 2008, he played bass in the supergroup Velvet Revolver with his former Guns N' Roses band mates Slash and Matt Sorum. He joined Jane's Addiction for a brief tenure in 2010. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 as a member of Guns N' Roses, which he rejoined in 2016.

x-Runaways singer Cherie Currie is set to follow her most recent solo release, 2015’s Reverie, with a guest star-studded set that’s languished in the vaults for years.
Currie shared the news during a recent appearance on the White Line Fever podcast (via BraveWords), saying the sessions fell together with ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum and attracted a number of impressive cameos before ultimately running out of steam.
“[Sorum] was just amazing. He and I made a record together with a bunch of cool stars,” said Currie. “In fact, the Veronicas, as well, they sang on a few songs. What great gals they are. Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins wrote a duet, and of course Slash and Duff were on it, as well as Juliette Lewis.”
The whole process offered Currie an overdue appreciation for her old band’s cultural impact. “Little did I know how much the Runaways had influenced so many people. It made me feel so good,” she explained. “But that record was shelved for five years.” It’s only coming out now, according to Currie, because Blackheart Records took an interest. “I negotiated with them instead of through my lawyer who I had to let go — two lawyers actually.”
Official details from Blackheart have yet to be released, but according to Currie, the record will be out shortly. “It will be coming out in September,” she added. “I never though it would see the light of day.”
