Roger Bellon (born 22 May, 1953) is a French film, television, theatre, opera and dance composer, conductor, orchestrator and producer.
He was eight when he had his first piano and composition lessons. Roger Bellon earned his Bachelor Of Music Composition degree from the Berklee College of Music, studying under music legends Gary Burton, Mike Gibbs and Herb Pomeroy among others and completed postgraduate studies in Composition and Conducting, under Pierre Petit (Grand Prix De Rome) at the École Normale de Musique de Paris, Paris.
He received numerous commissions from the French Government for his chamber as well as symphonic and choral compositions. At twenty-two, his first published composition, "Blackout," for piano, was commissioned by the École Normale de Musique de Paris for their yearly piano competition. It was published by legendary French music publisher Max Eschig and has been performed and recorded extensively. His Préludes for Piano have been performed by Gabriel Tacchino, one of France’s premier post-war pianists.
The main title is the music, often later recorded on soundtrack albums, that is heard in a film while the opening credits are rolling. It does not refer to music playing from on-screen sources such as radios, as in the original opening credits sequence in Touch of Evil.
A main title can consist of a tune sung by the leading character over the credits, such as Moon River, sung by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's, or the main orchestral theme as written by the composer, such as the famous The Pink Panther Theme. It can also be a medley of themes from the film, as in the 1959 Ben-Hur. In the film A Hard Day's Night, the title tune was heard over the opening credits showing the Beatles running from their fans. An overture may serve as a main title, as in The Sound of Music. However, there is a very strong difference in a roadshow theatrical release between an overture and a main title. The overture in such films is heard on pre-recorded tape or film, before the film even begins, while the house lights are still up and there is yet no picture on the screen. The main title begins when the film actually starts. In the case of The Sound of Music though (and also Fiddler on the Roof), no overture was heard before the lights in the theatre went down; therefore, in these cases, the main title did serve as an overture. Both films had pre-credits opening sequences; during these, the first song from the film was sung, and immediately afterwards, the main title music followed.
Roger is an English male given name and surname, from the Anglo-Norman French Roger, Rogier, which is itself derived from Germanic words (hroth, hruod and ger) meaning respectively "fame" and "spear". In Anglo-Saxon sources the name is first recorded, in the Dark Age epic poem Beowulf, as Hroðgar ("glorious spear-bearer").
The name is also found in the Netherlands in the form Rutger, and in German as Rüdiger. The Latin form, as used by a few medieval figures, is Rogerius. A Welsh variation is the family name Rosser.
Roger is also a short version of the term "Jolly Roger", which refers to a black flag with white skull and crossbones, formerly used by sea pirates since as early as 1723.
From c.1650 to c.1870, Roger was slang for the word "penis", probably due to the origin of the name involving fame with a spear. Subsequently, "to roger" became a slang verb form meaning "to have sex with"/"to penetrate".
In 19th century England, Roger was slang for the cloud of toxic green gas that swept through the chlorine bleach factories periodically.

Everything I do is for learning, so please comment helpful tips and be patient with me. They are progressively getting better as I continue to record.

My review of the comic book adaptation of the underrated horror classic, Waxwork(1988) from Blackthorne Press. The comic is a fun little oddity and must own for die hard Waxwork fans for its sheer collectibility alone. It wasn't the best comic I have ever read, but it was a fun read. I wiish it was in color though rather than black and white. Still a worthy addition to my collection though. If you want to see me make more comic book reviews or make a video showing my comic book collection, let me know in the comments below.
