So I only recently checked out the album Art Pepper + Eleven featuring Mel Lewis on drums, and I was blown away by how perfectly Mel seems to play on every tune. I've never really listened to him before but I can certainly understand why he's widely considered a master musician!
So in this video I'm attempting to recreate as much of how Mel handled this arrangement on the record. This isn't a performance of an exact transcription however (as you can hear by listening closely and hearing his comping underneath mine!) but I try to catch hits/play as similar as possible fills as he did for the sake of learning the language.

Stranger Things was pretty good (fantastic even). Didn't think it would be tbh but after one episode I was just blown away.

So I'm FINALLY getting around to watching the new Doctor Who season and - I'm blown away, really. I wandered off halfway through the Tennant (I loved the guy but it wasn't keeping my interest anymore) years and wasn't sure about this new series, but I'm so glad I'm watching it now! I'm still a hardcore Eccleston fan but the way Matt Smith plays the Doctor - an ancient man stuck in a young body - is amazing.
I love River, and hopefully she does turn out to be his wife or something or I'll feel really awkward having vidded this. I don't even ship them THAT hard but the idea got in my head and I said ok. Ah well!
Expect some Rory/Amy videos soon. I FREAKING LOVE THEM. :D

So I'm FINALLY getting around to watching the new Doctor Who season and - I'm blown away, really. I wandered off halfway through the Tennant (I loved the guy but it wasn't keeping my interest anymore) years and wasn't sure about this new series, but I'm so glad I'm watching it now! I'm still a hardcore Eccleston fan but the way Matt Smith plays the Doctor - an ancient man stuck in a young body - is amazing.
I love River, and hopefully she does turn out to be his wife or something or I'll feel really awkward having vidded this. I don't even ship them THAT hard but the idea got in my head and I said ok. Ah well!
Expect some Rory/Amy videos soon. I FREAKING LOVE THEM. :D
