Title: Titanic in the Sky
Qantas Flight 32 was a Qantas passenger flight which suffered an uncontained engine failure on 4 November 2010 and made an emergency landing at Singapore Changi Airport. The failure was the first of its kind for the Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger aircraft. It marked the first aviation occurrence involving an Airbus A380. On inspection it was found that the aircraft's No.2 engine (on the port side nearest the fuselage), a Rolls-Royce Trent 900, had a missing turbine disc. The aircraft had also suffered damage to the nacelle, wing, fuel system, landing gear, flight controls, the controls for engine No.1 and an undetected fire in the left inner wing fuel tank that eventually self-extinguished.

Welcome to my first trip report, which is of my flight from London Heathrow (LHR) to Dubai International (DXB) aboard Qantas Flight QF10 which was operated by VH-OQD a Airbus A380-842
On April 11th we awoke and began our final day overseas. Our flight was set to depart at 1pm and check in would open at 9am, we were off to Terminal 3 on one of the many shuttle buses that travel around the airport outskirts.
QF9/10 along with QF1/2 are the only Qantas flights operating all the way from Australia to London direct with a stopover in Dubai and these routes have come under scrutiny. The first leg as shown in this video from London to Dubai was 1/3 full, I didn’t have any trouble getting 4 seats to myself and half way through the flight there was still seats left over.
Shortly after takeoff we were met with complimentary drinks which are always nice, shortly after this we were given our first meal which was Lunch. I chose the Thyme roasted Chicken Salad with wheat berry, beetroot and carrot. Overall the meal was very tasty and I’d rate it a 8.5/10. Good job Qantas!
The other meal was not so flash. We were served around 1 hour before landing in Dubai a Spiced Lamb Calzone which resulted in me getting excruciating stomach pains. I wouldn’t recommend this meal and would rate it a 2/10.
In Conclusion the flight was pleasant however far from perfect. The crew as usual were kind and lovely with the exception of a few. Unfortunately I wasn't unable to create a trip report for the Dubai - Melbourne leg due to the shades being down for 12 of the 14 hours. The Qantas First Class Lounge in Sydney is the best airline lounge we’ve ever visited! We’ve been to a several first class lounges, but the Qantas First Class Lounge in Sydney stands apart from the rest. The food selection is the best we’ve ever seen in airline lounge. We loved that incorporated a seasonal foods into the dishes.
Additionally, the Qantas First Class Lounge is massive, so even though there were a lot of people in the lounge when we were there, it never felt crowded.
The highlight of the Qantas Lounge in Sydney is the spa. I had a twenty minute neck and shoulder massage, and it was the best massage I’ve had in my entire life. The spa inside the fist class lounge was voted the best spa in Sydney multiple years in a row. I can’t believe something this luxurious exists inside of airport.

Air Crash Investigation Qantas 32 Titanic In The Sky
Title: Titanic in the Sky Qantas Flight 32 was a Qantas passenger flight which suffered an uncontained engine failure on 4 November 2010 and made an emergency landing at Singapore Changi Airport. The failure was the first of its kind for the Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger aircraft. It marked the first aviation occurrence involving an Airbus A380. On inspection it was found that the aircraft's No.2 engine (on the port side nearest the fuselage), a Rolls-Royce Trent 900, had a missing turbine disc. TRIP REPORT | Qantas A380-800 | ECONOMY | QF10 London Heathrow (LHR) - Dubai International (DXB)
Welcome to my first trip report, which is of my flight from London Heathrow (LHR) to Dubai International (DXB) aboard Qantas Flight QF10 which was operated by VH-OQD a Airbus A380-842 On April 11th we awoke and began our final day overseas. Our flight was set to depart at 1pm and check in would open at 9am, we were off to Terminal 3 on one of the many shuttle buses that travel around the airport outskirts. QF9/10 along with QF1/2 are the only Qantas flights operating all the way from Australia to London direct with a stopover in Dubai and these routes have come under scrutiny. The Qantas First Class Lounge in Sydney is the best airline lounge we’ve ever visited! We’ve been to a several first class lounges, but the Qantas First Class Lounge in Sydney stands apart from the rest. The food selection is the best we’ve ever seen in airline lounge. We loved that incorporated a seasonal foods into the dishes. Additionally, the Qantas First Class Lounge is massive, so even though there were a lot of people in the lounge when we were there, it never felt crowded. The highlight of the Qantas Lounge in Sydney is the spa. I had a twenty minute neck and shoulder massage, and it was the best massage I’ve had in my entire life. The spa inside the fist class lounge was voted the best spa in Sydney multiple years in a row. I can’t believe something this luxurious exists inside...

Welcome to my first trip report, which is of my flight from London Heathrow (LHR) to Dubai International (DXB) aboard Qantas Flight QF10 which was operated by VH-OQD a Airbus A380-842
On April 11th we awoke and began our final day overseas. Our flight was set to depart at 1pm and check in would open at 9am, we were off to Terminal 3 on one of the many shuttle buses that travel around the airport outskirts.
QF9/10 along with QF1/2 are the only Qantas flights operating all the way from Australia to London direct with a stopover in Dubai and these routes have come under scrutiny. The first leg as shown in this video from London to Dubai was 1/3 full, I didn’t have any trouble getting 4 seats to myself and half way through the flight there was still seats left over.
Shortly after takeoff we were met with complimentary drinks which are always nice, shortly after this we were given our first meal which was Lunch. I chose the Thyme roasted Chicken Salad with wheat berry, beetroot and carrot. Overall the meal was very tasty and I’d rate it a 8.5/10. Good job Qantas!
The other meal was not so flash. We were served around 1 hour before landing in Dubai a Spiced Lamb Calzone which resulted in me getting excruciating stomach pains. I wouldn’t recommend this meal and would rate it a 2/10.
In Conclusion the flight was pleasant however far from perfect. The crew as usual were kind and lovely with the exception of a few. Unfortunately I wasn't unable to create a trip report for the Dubai - Melbourne leg due to the shades being down for 12 of the 14 hours. Additionally, the Qantas First Class Lounge is massive, so even though there were a lot of people in the lounge when we were there, it never felt crowded.
The highlight of the Qantas Lounge in Sydney is the spa. I had a twenty minute neck and shoulder massage, and it was the best massage I’ve had in my entire life. The spa inside the fist class lounge was voted the best spa in Sydney multiple years in a row. I can’t believe something this luxurious exists inside of airport.
