José Miguel

José Miguel (born June 23, 1969 in Temperley) is a retired Argentine football goalkeeper. He played professional football in Argentina and Mexico.

Career

Miguel began his playing career in 1986 with River Plate where he made a total of 39 league appearances and won two league titles with the club. In 1993 he joined Club Atlético Platense where he served as the first team goalkeeper.

In 1995, he joined Mexican side Santos Laguna where he played until 1999. During his time with the club he won one league title in Inviero 1996 and made

In 2000, he joined Atlético Chipas where he played until 2002. Miguel returned to Argentina in 2003 to play for his home town club Temperley. He retired from football in 2004.

Miguel Jiménez

Miguel Ángel Jiménez Cedres (born June 18, 1970 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a retired male boxer from Puerto Rico.

He won the silver medal in the men's light-middleweight (– 71 kg) category at the 1991 Pan American Games in Havana, Cuba. In the final, Jiménez was defeated by Cuba's Juan Carlos Lemus. He also represented his native country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, falling in the first round to Iraqi Furas Hashim.

Coordinates: 53°17′35″N 6°07′56″W / 53.2930°N 6.1321°W / 53.2930; -6.1321 DLR Lexicon, branded as dlr LexIcon, is a building in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland, housing the main public library and cultural centre of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council (DLR CC). It has attracted controversy, with opponents critical of its massive façade and its €36.6m cost at a time of austerity in Ireland, and supporters praising its interior, usability, and environmentally responsible construction.

Construction

The 2004-10 DLR CC development plan included a new library and cultural centre as part of its urban regeneration scheme. It stated:

The site chosen was Moran Park, a partially derelict public park with bowling green, running perpendicular to the coastline down an escarpment. The site was chosen because it was already owned by DLR CC and would link The Metals (Queens Road) on the busy seafront to the north with George's Street, Dún Laoghaire's main shopping street, to the south. Carr Cotter & Naessens, with a design by David Naessens, won the architecture competition in November 2007. In May 2009 DLR CC launched the public consultation required under Part 8 of the Planning & Development Regulations; a special development review meeting in November 2009 approved the plan by 22 votes to 3, rejecting Richard Boyd Barrett's proposal to locate the library on Carlisle Pier.Sisk Group won the request for tender and began construction in April 2012. Thirteen 40-tonne concrete rafters constructed in County Offaly were each brought on site in a single night. The building was opened to the public for preview on Culture Night (19 September 2014) and Open House Dublin (19 October 2014) and opened for general use on 8 December 2014. The building won the 2014 Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland award categories Best Culture and Best Public Building.

The Irish Times is an Irish daily broadsheet newspaper launched on 29 March 1859. The editor is Kevin O'Sullivan who succeeded Geraldine Kennedy in 2011; the deputy editor is Denis Staunton.The Irish Times is published every day except Sundays. It employs 420 people.

Though formed as a Protestant nationalist paper, within two decades and under new owners it had become the voice of Irish unionism. It is no longer considered a unionist paper; it is generally perceived as being politically liberal and progressive, as well as being centre-right on economic issues.

The paper's most prominent columnists include writer and arts commentator Fintan O'Toole and the satirist Miriam Lord. Former Taoiseach, Garret FitzGerald was also a columnist. Senior international figures, including Tony Blair and Bill Clinton, have written for its op-ed page. Its most prominent columns have included Drapier (an anonymous piece produced weekly by a politician, giving the 'insider' view of politics), Rite and Reason (a weekly religious column, edited by Patsy McGarry, the 'religious affairs' editor) and the long-running An Irishman's Diary. An Irishman's Diary was penned by Patrick Campbell in the forties (under the pseudonym 'Quidnunc'), by Seamus Kelly from 1949-1979 (also writing as 'Quidnunc'), and more recently by Kevin Myers. Since Myer's move to the rival Irish Independent, "An Irishman's Diary" is usually the work of Frank McNally. On the sports pages, Philip Reid is the paper's golf correspondent.
