Andrew Walter Reid (born March 19, 1958) is an American football coach who is the current head coach for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). Reid was previously the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, a position he held from 1999 to 2012. From 2001 to 2012, he was also the Eagles' executive vice president of football operations, effectively making him the team's general manager. He led the Eagles to five National Football Conference (NFC) championship games, including four consecutive appearances from 2001-2004, and one Super Bowl in 2004. Reid was fired by Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie following the 2012 season and reached an agreement to become the head coach of the Chiefs five days later. Reid played college football at Brigham Young University.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Reid attended John Marshall High School and worked as a vendor at Dodger Stadium as a teenager. He also played youth sports in Los Angeles, and among his coaches was Pete Arbogast, who is the radio announcer for the USC football team, and formerly the radio play-by-play man for the Cincinnati Bengals. In 1971 (at age 13) Reid appeared live on Monday Night Football during the Punt, Pass, and Kick competition. Reid played offensive guard and defensive end at Brigham Young University for head coach LaVell Edwards.
The Kansas City metropolitan area is a 14-county metropolitan area anchored by Kansas City, Missouri that straddles the border between the U.S. states of Missouri and Kansas. With a population of 2,393,623, it ranks as the second largest metropolitan area with its core in Missouri (after Greater St. Louis) and has a population in Kansas larger than the Wichita metropolitan area. Alongside Kansas City, the area includes a number of other cities and suburbs, the largest being Overland Park, Kansas; Kansas City, Kansas; and Independence, Missouri; all over 100,000 in population. The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) serves as the Council of Governments and the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the area.
The larger Kansas City Metropolitan Area as seen on a map can be visualized roughly as four quadrants:
The northeast quadrant of the map is locally referred to as "north of the river" or "the Northland". It includes parts of Clay County, Missouri including North Kansas City, Missouri. North Kansas City is bounded by a bend in the Missouri River that defines a border between Wyandotte County, Kansas and Clay County, Missouri running approximately North-South and a border between North Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Missouri running approximately East-West. The sharpest part of the river bend forms a peninsula containing the Kansas City Downtown Airport.
The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league's American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team was founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans by businessman Lamar Hunt, and was a charter member of the American Football League (AFL). In 1963, the team relocated to Kansas City and assumed their current name. The Chiefs joined the NFL in the 1970 AFL–NFL merger. The team is valued at just under $1 billion. The Chiefs are the only NFL team based in Missouri with no team based in St. Louis, Missouri. The Chiefs won three AFL championships, in 1962, 1966 and 1969, and became the second AFL team (after the New York Jets) to defeat an NFL team in an AFL–NFL World Championship Game when they defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV. The team's victory on January 11, 1970, remains the club's last championship game victory and appearance, and occurred in the final such competition prior to the leagues' merger coming into full effect. The Chiefs were also the second team, after the Green Bay Packers, to appear in more than one Super Bowl, and the first to appear in the championship game in two different decades. In the 2015 AFC Wild-Card playoff game, held at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on January 9, 2016, the Chiefs defeated the Houston Texans 30–0 to earn their first NFL playoff win in 23 seasons, dating back to the 1993–94 NFL playoffs. The Chiefs' Wild-Card playoff victory ended what was at the time the third-longest drought in the NFL, and it also ended an NFL record eight-game playoff losing streak.

Born in Bay Center, Washington, Cowherd began his broadcasting career as sports director of Las Vegas television station KVBC, and as a sports anchor on several other stations before joining ESPN in 2003, where he hosted a radio show on the ESPN Radio network, and also became one of the original hosts of ESPN's television program SportsNation, as well as Colin's New Football Show. The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America, and the highest professional level of American football in the world. The NFL's 17-week regular season runs from the week after Labor Day to the week after Christmas, with each team playing sixteen games and having one bye week. Following the conclusion of the regular season, six teams from each conference (four division winners and two wild card teams) advance to the playoffs, a single-elimination tournament culminating in the Super Bowl, played between the champions of the NFC and AFC.
The NFL was formed in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association (APFA) before renaming itself the National Football League for the 1923 season. The NFL agreed to merge with the American Football League (AFL) in 1966, and the first Super Bowl was held at the end of that season; the merger was completed in 1970. Today, the NFL has the highest average attendance (67,591) of any professional sports league in the world and is the most popular sports league in the United States. The Super Bowl is among the biggest club sporting events in the world and individual Super Bowl games account for many of the most watched television programs in American history, all occupying the Nielsen's Top 5 tally of the all-time most watched U.S. television broadcasts by 2015. The NFL's executive officer is the commissioner, who has broad authority in governing the league.

John Marshall High School, Los Angeles, California First ever Athletic hall of fame ceremony from 2012. Mike Haynes, Andy Reid, Pete Arbogast and many more
The time has come for you to sit this out
To fit inside your mold
Would be to sell myself short
This ground we tread upon
(We turn the pages left to right)
Is now filling up to our necks
(We see everything)
This ground we tread upon
(We turn the pages left to right)
Is filling up to our necks
(We see everything)
Oh, my story's growing and growing, it is
(On my last request)
Don't make me feel so contradicting
There's no room for cheating and being yourself
Failure leaves such a bitter taste in their mouth
And on the last hour
We write so many new chapters again
And on the outside
Where there are no surprises
This ground we tread upon
(We turn the pages left to right)
Now filling up to our necks
(We see everything)
Oh, it's getting longer and longer, come on
To see it through their eyes
Would bring me so much closer
You can do this night after night after night
Failure leaves such a bitter taste in my mouth
Taste and see, I swear I know what's good
Be still and know that they won't lie to you
Every single time you're facing lies
This ground we tread upon
(We turn the pages left to right)
Is now filling up to our necks
Come on, this ground we tread upon
(We turn the pages left to right)
Is now filling up to our necks
(We see everything)
We see, we see, we see everything
We see, we see, we see everything
I know why you never take your eyes off from me
I've used my lungs for everything but breathing
I know why you never take your eyes off from me
I've used my lungs for everything but breathing
I find myself dried up in this conversation
So pull me out, pull me aside
I find myself dried up in this conversation
So pull me out, pull me aside
This ground we tread upon
(We turn the pages left to right)
This ground we tread upon
(We see everything)
