Estonia (
i/ɛˈstoʊniə/;Estonian: Eesti [ˈeːsti]), officially the Republic of Estonia (Estonian: Eesti Vabariik), is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. It is bordered to the north by the Gulf of Finland, to the west by the Baltic Sea, to the south by Latvia (343 km), and to the east by Lake Peipus and Russia (338.6 km). Across the Baltic Sea lies Sweden in the west and Finland in the north. The territory of Estonia consists of a mainland and 2,222 islands and islets in the Baltic Sea, covering 45,339 km2 (17,505 sq mi) of land, and is influenced by a humid continental climate.
Estonia is a democratic parliamentary republic divided into fifteen counties, with its capital and largest city being Tallinn. With a population of 1.3 million, it is one of the least-populous member states of the European Union, Eurozone, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, the OECD and the Schengen Area. Ethnic Estonians are Finnic people, and the official language, Estonian, is a Finno-Ugric language closely related to Finnish and the Sami languages, and distantly to Hungarian.

MS Estonia
MS Estonia, previously Viking Sally (1980–1990), Silja Star (−1991), and Wasa King (−1993), was a cruise ferry built in 1979/80 at the German shipyard Meyer Werft in Papenburg. The ship sank in 1994 in the Baltic Sea in one of the worst maritime disasters of the 20th century. It is the deadliest European shipwreck disaster to have occurred in peacetime, costing 852 lives.

Construction
The ship was originally ordered from Meyer Werft by a Norwegian shipping company led by Parley Augustsen with intended traffic between Norway and Germany. At the last moment, the company withdrew their order and the contract went to Rederi Ab Sally, one of the partners in the Viking Line consortium (SF Line, another partner in Viking Line, had also been interested in the ship).
Originally the ship was conceived as a sister ship to Diana II, built in 1979 by the same shipyard for Rederi AB Slite, the third partner in Viking Line. However, when Sally took over the construction contract, the ship was lengthened from the original length of approximately 137 metres (449 ft) to approximately 155 metres (509 ft) and the superstructure of the ship was largely redesigned.

This Strange Engine
This Strange Engine is the ninth studio album by British rock band Marillion, released in 1997.
Release
It is the first of three albums in three consecutive years that Marillion released on a contract with Castle Communications, after being dropped by EMI Records following the relative lack of commercial success of Afraid of Sunlight in 1995; peaking at No. 16, Afraid of Sunlight had been the band's first studio album not to reach the top ten of the UK Albums Chart. Without the promotional efforts of a major label, This Strange Engine continued Marillion's decline in mainstream success; it reached No. 27 on the UK Albums Chart and stayed there for two weeks. The album sold significantly better in the Netherlands, home of one of the band's most loyal audiences, reaching #10.
Music
Most of the tracks are soft rock styled but relatively lengthy compositions.
The first single released from the album was "Man of a Thousand Faces". A music video was also released of this track. The second single from the album was "Eighty Days". Neither single received any mainstream radio airplay. For the first time, no singles from a Marillion album entered the UK Singles Chart.

Situated in the Baltics, Estonia is famous for its wonderful bogs, the calm Baltic Sea, and its large swaths of pine forests. Investigating the sinking of MS Estonia (2020)
This video has been reviewed by Estonian Copyright Organization to be acceptable for Youtube. I decided to take a closer look at one of the worst disasters of the 20th century, the sinking of the ferry Estonia. A brand new swedish documentary shed some new light onto the sinking and discovered a hole on the right side of the ship.. MS Estonia Mayday Call With Subtitles, Tribute R.I.P. ESTONIA, 1980-1994 Estonia was sunk in the september 28th, 1994 at 1:50 AM. (GMT +2) At the time of the accident there were 989 people on the ship, of whom 852 lost their lives. The wreck rests in about 80 meters of water. The wreck is located approximately 22 nautical miles (40 kilometres) south-southeast of the island of Utö. May they all rest in peace.

MS Estonia Wreck Transformation
MS Estonia was a cruiseferry built in 1980 at the German shipyard Meyer Werft in Papenburg. In 1993, she was sold to Nordström & Thulin for use on Estline's Tallinn–Stockholm route. The ship's sinking on 28 September 1994, in the Baltic Sea between Sweden, Åland, Finland and Estonia, was one of the worst maritime disasters of the 20th century. The official report concluded that the bow door had separated from the vessel, pulling the ramp ajar. The ship was already listing because of poor cargo distribution, and the list increased rapidly, flooding the decks and the cabins. Shortly, power failed altogether, inhibiting search and rescue, and a full-scale emergency was not declared for 90 minutes. Of the 989 on board, 138 were rescued. At such an angle, it was all but impossible to move around. Those who were going to survive had already reached the deck. Tragically, by then most of the lifeboats could not be released due to sideways tilt of the ship. Soon, the ferry slipped beneath the waves into a watery grave.
The Estonia disaster occurred on Wednesday, 28 September 1994, between about 00:55 to 01:50.

MS Estonia was a cruiseferry built in 1980 at the German shipyard Meyer Werft in Papenburg. In 1993, she was sold to Nordström & Thulin for use on Estline's Tallinn–Stockholm route. The ship's sinking on 28 September 1994, in the Baltic Sea between Sweden, Åland, Finland and Estonia, was one of the worst maritime disasters of the 20th century.
The official report concluded that the bow door had separated from the vessel, pulling the ramp ajar. The ship was already listing because of poor cargo distribution, and the list increased rapidly, flooding the decks and the cabins. Shortly, power failed altogether, inhibiting search and rescue, and a full-scale emergency was not declared for 90 minutes. Of the 989 on board, 138 were rescued. The report criticised the passive attitude of the crew, failing to notice that water was entering the vehicle deck, delaying the alarm, and providing minimal guidance from the bridge.

Investigation dive by Commercial diving company Rockwater on behalf of the swedish government. This dive was made about two months after the catastrophical sinking. 852 people died, among them men, women, children and elderly.
In this video the divers have just cut a whole in the side of the ship and enter a cabin. They then go through the door of the cabin and enter the cabin on the opposite side of the hallway(cabin 6130). One of the diver reports in the first cabin (6129) seeing ”lots of sediment coming up that looks like bits of flesh” just as he opens the cabin door leading to the hallway.
Once in the hallway the diver reports that he possibly can see people there after which you can see a human foot very clearly at 13:40 which they must have missed to cut out when they censored the tapes.
Only 34 people were rescued just short after the sinking by another passenger-ferry called Mariella which had been in contact with Estonia during the sinking, but the storm made the other liferafts drift away from Mariella. This resulted in the remaining people in the sea and in the liferafts having to endure 5 hours of wait in freezing cold water in a great storm until the rescue helicopters could arrive early during the morning. Many people died from hypothermia during these hours. Only another 104 people were rescued by the helicopters.
Estonia is lying with her right side to the seabed at a depth ranging from 60-80m in the Baltic Sea.
Note that there is a cut at 11:54 indicating that the diver encountered a body/bodies upon entering the hallway.

Estonia (i/ɛˈstoʊniə/;Estonian: Eesti [ˈeːsti]), officially the Republic of Estonia (Estonian: Eesti Vabariik), is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. Ethnic Estonians are Finnic people, and the official language, Estonian, is a Finno-Ugric language closely related to Finnish and the Sami languages, and distantly to Hungarian.

The Baltic Sea claimed 852 people's lives by drowning and freezing them to death in the 8 degree C cold water. Only 95 bodies were ever recovered. The wreck of the Estonia was not salvaged, but sealed, covered in sand and declared an official burial ground.
The 150 metre long Estonia left the Estonian capital Tallin and sailed into a raging Baltic Sea. Unlike the other car ferries on the route, the Estonia ran at full speed into waves more than 15 meters tall. Six hours into the voyage, she sank to a depth of more than 75 metres.
The first sign of danger was the sound of metal scraping against metal. The sound was caused by the weakly constructed locks on the bow visor breaking under the strain of the waves. The visor eventually broke off of the ship, uncovering the opening to the car deck behind. Water rushed in and destabilised the ship, starting a catastrophic chain of events that brought the ship down.
Without warning, the vessel lurched some 20 degrees to starboard, and would continue to tilt to 90 degrees. Passengers were in danger of getting crushed under falling equipment. At such an angle, it was all but impossible to move around. Those who were going to survive had already reached the deck. Tragically, by then most of the lifeboats could not be released due to sideways tilt of the ship. Soon, the ferry slipped beneath the waves into a watery grave.
The Estonia disaster occurred on Wednesday, 28 September 1994, between about 00:55 to 01:50.

At the time of the accident there were 989 people on the ship, of whom 852 lost their lives.
The wreck rests in about 80 meters of water.
The wreck is located approximately 22 nautical miles (40 kilometres) south-southeast of the island of Utö.
May they all rest in peace.

MS Estonia was a cruiseferry built in 1980 at the German shipyard Meyer Werft in Papenburg. In 1993, she was sold to Nordström & Thulin for use on Estline's Tallinn–Stockholm route. The ship's sinking on 28 September 1994, in the Baltic Sea between Sweden, Åland, Finland and Estonia, was one of the worst maritime disasters of the 20th century.
The official report concluded that the bow door had separated from the vessel, pulling the ramp ajar. The ship was already listing because of poor cargo distribution, and the list increased rapidly, flooding the decks and the cabins. Shortly, power failed altogether, inhibiting search and rescue, and a full-scale emergency was not declared for 90 minutes. Of the 989 on board, 138 were rescued. The report criticised the passive attitude of the crew, failing to notice that water was entering the vehicle deck, delaying the alarm, and providing minimal guidance from the bridge.

Investigation dive by Commercial diving company Rockwater on behalf of the swedish government. This dive was made about two months after the catastrophical sinking. 852 people died, among them men, women, children and elderly.
In this video the divers have just cut a whole in the side of the ship and enter a cabin. They then go through the door of the cabin and enter the cabin on the opposite side of the hallway(cabin 6130). One of the diver reports in the first cabin (6129) seeing ”lots of sediment coming up that looks like bits of flesh” just as he opens the cabin door leading to the hallway.
Once in the hallway the diver reports that he possibly can see people there after which you can see a human foot very clearly at 13:40 which they must have missed to cut out when they censored the tapes.
Only 34 people were rescued just short after the sinking by another passenger-ferry called Mariella which had been in contact with Estonia during the sinking, but the storm made the other liferafts drift away from Mariella. This resulted in the remaining people in the sea and in the liferafts having to endure 5 hours of wait in freezing cold water in a great storm until the rescue helicopters could arrive early during the morning. Many people died from hypothermia during these hours. Only another 104 people were rescued by the helicopters.
Estonia is lying with her right side to the seabed at a depth ranging from 60-80m in the Baltic Sea.
Note that there is a cut at 11:54 indicating that the diver encountered a body/bodies upon entering the hallway.
