This is a companion video for http://www.harrisongs.info/. It contains all of George Harrison's officially released songs presented chronologically in ten second clips! This includes music from George's time with the Beatles, the Traveling Wilburys, many other collaborations, and of course Harrison's solo work. All songs are written, or partially written, by George Harrison, and were recorded with George acting as musician or producer.
The clips are in order of date recorded to the best of my ability with the information available as of the upload date. Solo album tracks, however, are in the order they appear on the albums, effectively treating an entire album as one "unit."

Migos are currently riding high after dropping their third official mixtape, Rich Nigga Timeline, and recently we caught up with the Quality Control trio to chop it up about the project.
Speaking on the tape's concept, Quavo said:
"We ain't wanna do sequence, but we wanna stay rich and we wanna stay young, and we really ain't never just told y'all where we came from and showed y'all where we started. We always just hit y'all with the swag and the trendsetting stuff, so this time, it's Rich Nigga Timeline, showing you where we came from."
The three members then reveled their personal favorites on the tape. Offset's is "Hit Em," Quavo's is "Wishy Washy" and Takeoff's is "Pop That,"
Then, after our host points out that their recent release of the "Bando" film parallels The Beatles' third album and film, A Hard Day's Night, the Migo gang clear up all of the comparisons to the4 Fab Four that they've been receiving. Quavo, for one, likes them. "History repeats itself," he said, "so you might be looking at the new young Beatles in the flesh."

"The Beatles were huge for me. Without them, I don't know if I even would have become a musician or a guitar player. When their hits started coming out, I was 8 and 9 years old and it had a tremendous impact on me. I saw the movie "A Hard Day's Night" multiple times when it came out and I always loved that song. From the Woodstock Festival, all the way to The Beatles first live appearance on the Ed Sullivan show, From the times of Martin Luther King Jr, to the ends of segregation. You could say that the 1960's was not just any old time in our past lives, but instead a shining beacon of hope that life will carry on it's legacy of the times and tribulations and the life we live now we know is not a hinder but a legacy that will cary on throughout human nature for many years to come.

The Beatles
The Beatles were an English rock band, formed in Liverpool in 1960. With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they became widely regarded as the foremost and most influential act of the rock era. Rooted in skiffle, beat, and 1950s rock and roll, the Beatles later experimented with several genres, ranging from pop ballads and Indian music to psychedelia and hard rock, often incorporating classical elements in innovative ways. In the early 1960s, their enormous popularity first emerged as "Beatlemania", but as the group's music grew in sophistication, led by primary songwriters Lennon and McCartney, they came to be perceived as an embodiment of the ideals shared by the counterculture of the 1960s.
The Beatles built their reputation playing clubs in Liverpool and Hamburg over a three-year period from 1960, with Stuart Sutcliffe initially serving as bass player. The core of Lennon, McCartney and Harrison went through a succession of drummers, most notably Pete Best, before asking Starr to join them. Manager Brian Epstein moulded them into a professional act and producer George Martin enhanced their musical potential. They gained popularity in the United Kingdom after their first hit, "Love Me Do", in late 1962. They acquired the nickname "the Fab Four" as Beatlemania grew in Britain over the following year, and by early 1964 they had become international stars, leading the "British Invasion" of the United States pop market. From 1965 onwards, the Beatles produced what many consider their finest material, including the innovative and widely influential albums Rubber Soul (1965), Revolver (1966), Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), The Beatles (commonly known as the White Album, 1968) and Abbey Road (1969).

George Harrison
George Harrison,MBE (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) was an English guitarist, singer, songwriter, and music and film producer who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. Often referred to as "the quiet Beatle", Harrison embraced Indian mysticism and helped broaden the horizons of his fellow Beatles as well as their Western audience by incorporating Indian instrumentation in their music. Although the majority of the Beatles' songs were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, most Beatles albums from 1965 onwards contained at least two Harrison compositions. His songs for the group included "Taxman", "Within You Without You", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Here Comes the Sun" and "Something", the last of which became the Beatles' second-most covered song.
Harrison's earliest musical influences included George Formby and Django Reinhardt; Carl Perkins, Chet Atkins and Chuck Berry were subsequent influences. By 1965 he had begun to lead the Beatles into folk rock through his interest in the Byrds and Bob Dylan, and towards Indian classical music through his use of the sitar on "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)". Having initiated the band's embracing of Transcendental Meditation in 1967, he subsequently developed an association with the Hare Krishna movement. After the band's break-up in 1970, Harrison released the triple album All Things Must Pass, a critically acclaimed work that produced his most successful hit single, "My Sweet Lord", and introduced his signature sound as a solo artist, the slide guitar. He also organised the 1971 Concert for Bangladesh with Indian musician Ravi Shankar, a precursor for later benefit concerts such as Live Aid. In his role as a music and film producer, Harrison produced acts signed to the Beatles' Apple record label before founding Dark Horse Records in 1974 and co-founding HandMade Films in 1978.

From the Woodstock Festival, all the way to The Beatles first live appearance on the Ed Sullivan show, From the times of Martin Luther King Jr, to the ends of segregation. You could say that the 1960's was not just any old time in our past lives, but instead a shining beacon of hope that life will carry on it's legacy of the times and tribulations and the life we live now we know is not a hinder but a legacy that will cary on throughout human nature for many years to come.

When their hits started coming out, I was 8 and 9 years old and it had a tremendous impact on me. I saw the movie "A Hard Day's Night" multiple times when it came out and I always loved that song. Following their appearance on the BBC television show Juke Box Jury, The Beatles recorded a special concert appearance for the corporation at Liverpool's Empire Theatre.
The performance took place in front of 2,500 members of The Beatles' Northern Area Fan Club, between 3.45 and 4.30pm. It was filmed in its entirety by the BBC, and 30 minutes were broadcast that evening from 8.10pm to 8.40pm during a special programme entitled It's The Beatles.
The group played a short version of From Me To You, followed by I Saw Her Standing There, All My Loving, Roll Over Beethoven, Boys, Till There Was You, She Loves You, This Boy, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Money (That's What I Want), Twist And Shout, and another version of From Me To You.
Technical problems and lack of rehearsal times meant the sound balance for the concert recording was sub-standard. Both The Beatles and senior figures at the BBC later expressed concern at the often embarrassing nature of the footage, which included the absence of Ringo vocals during Boys and the director focusing on the wrong members of the group during key moments.
After the concert the BBC also recorded a two-minute interview with the group to use on the Christmas Day edition of Top Of The Pops.
The Beatles then made the short journey to the nearby Odeon Cinema on London Road where they gave two evening concerts. The police closed Pudsey Street to the public to allow the group to reach the venue unhindered.

Their presence had an unlikely upside for The Beatles in their long-running saga with the Musicians’ Union in that the MU were fooled into believing the band were playing live, when in fact they were miming for the vast majority of the song. Paul, however, sang live throughout the song.
The video was first broadcast on David Frost’s Frost On Sunday show, four days after it was filmed. At that point transmission was in black and white although the promo was originally shot in colour. It was first aired in America a month later on 6 October 1968, on The Smotheres Brothers Comedy Hour.

For the many who witnessed The Beatles’ early appearances on British television, this song is synonymous with those exciting era–defining times. The power of the band’s performances and the recording owes so much to John’s searing vocal. For their debut album, John recorded his vocal in one take at the end of a marathon recording session on February 11th 1963.
In July 1963, ‘Twist And Shout’ became the title track of the band’s first EP to be released in the UK. According to the advert on the front of New Musical Express, it was “The record you’ve been asking for”. A week after Twist And Shout was released it made the EP best-seller list and a week after that topped the same chart staying there for ten weeks. This clip was videotaped in the middle of a six-night run at the Odeon Cinema in Llandudno, North Wales.

The Beatles had a break from their Autumn Tour, and spent the afternoon at the Granada television studios in Manchester filming a performance and interview for the Late Scene Extra and Scene At 6.30 programmes. They mimed to two songs: their forthcoming single I Want To Hold Your Hand and its b-side This Boy. The backdrop of the stage set contained enlarged fictitious headlines from the Daily Echo. The interview took place on the same set, and was conducted by presenter Gay Byrne. The Beatles were joined by Liverpudlian comedian Ken Dodd. The footage was used in the 27 November edition of Late Scene Extra, which was broadcast from 11.45pm to midnight, and in the 20 December edition of Scene At 6.30.

Having filmed this video a few weeks back, I'd now add 1 other crucial 'stage'; learning to play 'by ear', which means developing the ability to copy music that you hear, and even to then improvise over it freely.

In this video I explain the 4 key stages of learning guitar. This video aims to shift the perspective of new guitarists who think you can learn in a linear 'level 1, level 2, 3 etc' beyond a beginner level & the pitfalls of doing so.

Even though I personally studied music academically to degree level, I feel that this along with the 'grading system' (grade 1, grade 2) is an inefficient & even ineffective way for most people to achieve & MAINTIAN a high level on guitar. More so, IT IS NOT the way that most of my musical heroes (Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix, Tommy Emanuel, The Darkness, John Mayer among many others) developed their skills
The 4 stages of successful long term guitar players is (in my opinion);
- Easy Songs
- Harder Songs
- Playing With Other Musicians
- Your Musical Outlet
Having filmed this video a few weeks back, I'd now add 1 other crucial 'stage'; learning to play 'by ear', which means developing the ability to copy music that you hear, and even to then improvise over it freely.
