Rusya ve İran arasında imzalanan ve Azerbaycan'ı kuzey ve güney olarak ikiye bölen, Türk tarihinin en hazin antlaşmalarından biri olan Türkmençay antlaşmasının üzerinden tam 181 yıl geçti...
Nadir Şah'ın öldürülmesinden sonra Azerbaycan'da ortaya çıkan Hanlıklar Dönemi'nde, hanlıklar kendi aralarında siyasi birlik oluşturamadığından birer birer Rusya'da teslim olmuşlardır. İran, bölgedeki hakimiyetini kaybetmemek için Rusya ile yaptığı savaşlarda yenilince, önce Gülistan Antlaşması (1813) Nahçıvan'ın da Rusya'nın hakimiyetine girmesini kabul etmiş ve bu fiili durum Osmanlı Devleti'ne de Edirne Antlaşmasıyla (1829) onaylatılmıştır. Türkmençay antlaşması sonuçları itibariyle bugün de güncelliğini korumaktadır. Yapılan bu antlaşmayla, Azerbaycan Türkleri ikiye bölünmüş olup, bu problem halen devam etmektedir. Bir diğer önemli sorun da, Rusya'nın, antlaşmaya koydurduğu 15. maddeye dayanarak, Revan başta olmak üzere bölgeye İran'da, Osmanlı Devleti'nde ve kendi topraklarında yaşayan Ermenileri göç ettirmesidir. Antlaşma öncesinde bölgede çoğunlukta bulunan Türkler planlı olarak yapılan bu göçler neticesinde nüfus olarak azınlığa düşmüş ve böylece Ermenistan devletinin temelleri atılmıştır.
TÜRKMENÇAY ANTLAŞMASININ ŞARTLARI
1-Rusya, Gülüstan antlaşması ile elde ettiği toprakların yanı sıra Nahçıvan ve İrevan hanlıklarının arazilerini de kendi kontrolüne alacak.
2-Her iki tarafın tüccarları veri vermeden ilgili ülkelerde serbest ticaret yapabilecekler.
3-Hazar'da her türlü kontrol Rusların elinde olacak.
4-Savaş esirleri karşılıklı olarak serbest bırakılacaklar.
5-Taraflar mevcut sınırları tanıyacak ve birbirlerine karşı düşmanca tavır içine girmeyecekler.
Türkmençay antlaşması, Azerbaycan tarihinde Azerbaycan Türklerinin en büyük felaketi olarak yer aldı. Türkmençay antlaşması ile Azerbaycan Aras nehri sınır tespit edilip kuzey ve güney Azerbaycan olarak iki bölgeye bölündü.

Nader Mohammed Kara (Arabic: نادر كارة) (born 19 January 1980) is a Libyan football attacker who, as of 2006/2007 season is playing for Al Ahly Tripoli. Having received offers to play abroad, by the Bahraini and Turkish national leagues, he decided instead to remain in Libya, instead moving to Al- Ahly Tripoli from Al Olympic Zaouia.
He was a member of the Libyan 2006 African Nations Cup team, who finished bottom of their group in the first round of competition, thus failing to secure qualification for the quarter-finals, finishing with just one point from their three matches

}} Nāder Shāh Afshār (Persian: نادر شاه افشار; also known as Nāder Qoli Beg - نادر قلی بیگ or Tahmāsp Qoli Khān - تهماسپ قلی خان) (November, 1688 or August 6, 1698 – June 19, 1747) ruled as Shah of Iran (1736–47) and was the founder of the Afsharid dynasty. Because of his military genius, some historians have described him as the Napoleon of Persia or the Second Alexander. Nader Shah was a member of the Turkic Afshar tribe of northern Persia, which had supplied military power to the Safavid state since the time of Shah Ismail I.
Nader rose to power during a period of anarchy in Iran after a rebellion by the Hotaki Afghans had overthrown the weak Persian Shah Sultan Husayn, and both the Ottomans and the Russians had seized Persian territory for themselves. Nader reunited the Persian realm and removed the invaders. He became so powerful that he decided to depose the last members of the Safavid dynasty, which had ruled Iran for over 200 years, and become shah himself in 1736. His numerous campaigns throughout the Naderian Wars created a great empire that encompassed what is now part of or including Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, India, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Oman and the Persian Gulf but his military spending had a ruinous effect on the Persian economy.

Persia attempted to ratify the Treaty of Istanbul (1736), by demanding that the Ja'fari, a small Shi'ite sect was to be accepted as a fifth legal sect of Islam. In 1743, Nadir Shah declared war on the Ottoman Empire. He demanded the surrender of Baghdad. The Persians had captured Baghdad in 1623 and Mosul in 1624, but the Ottomans had recaptured Mosul in 1625 and Bagdad in 1638. The Treaty of Zuhab in 1639 between the Ottoman Empire and the Safavid Empire had resulted in peace for 85 years. After the fall of the Safavid Dynasty, Russia and Turkey (Ottoman Empire) agreed to divide the northwest and the Caspian region of Persia, but with the advent of Nadir Shah, the Russians and the Turks withdrew from the region. Nadir Şah'ın öldürülmesinden sonra Azerbaycan'da ortaya çıkan Hanlıklar Dönemi'nde, hanlıklar kendi aralarında siyasi birlik oluşturamadığından birer birer Rusya'da teslim olmuşlardır. İran, bölgedeki hakimiyetini kaybetmemek için Rusya ile yaptığı savaşlarda yenilince, önce Gülistan Antlaşması (1813) Nahçıvan'ın da Rusya'nın hakimiyetine girmesini kabul etmiş ve bu fiili durum Osmanlı Devleti'ne de Edirne Antlaşmasıyla (1829) onaylatılmıştır. Türkmençay antlaşması sonuçları itibariyle bugün de güncelliğini korumaktadır. Yapılan bu antlaşmayla, Azerbaycan Türkleri ikiye bölünmüş olup, bu problem halen devam etmektedir. Bir diğer önemli sorun da, Rusya'nın, antlaşmaya koydurduğu 15. maddeye dayanarak, Revan başta olmak üzere bölgeye İran'da, Osmanlı Devleti'nde ve kendi topraklarında yaşayan Ermenileri göç ettirmesidir. Antlaşma öncesinde bölgede çoğunlukta bulunan Türkler planlı olarak yapılan bu göçler neticesinde nüfus olarak azınlığa düşmüş ve böylece Ermenistan devletinin temelleri atılmıştır.
TÜRKMENÇAY ANTLAŞMASININ ŞARTLARI
1-Rusya, Gülüstan antlaşması ile elde ettiği toprakların yanı sıra Nahçıvan ve İrevan hanlıklarının arazilerini de kendi kontrolüne alacak.
2-Her iki tarafın tüccarları veri vermeden ilgili ülkelerde serbest ticaret yapabilecekler.
3-Hazar'da her türlü kontrol Rusların elinde olacak.
4-Savaş esirleri karşılıklı olarak serbest bırakılacaklar.
5-Taraflar mevcut sınırları tanıyacak ve birbirlerine karşı düşmanca tavır içine girmeyecekler.

The Treaty of Zuhab in 1639 between the Ottoman Empire and the Safavid Empire had resulted in peace for 85 years. After the fall of the Safavid Dynasty, Russia and Turkey (Ottoman Empire) agreed to divide the northwest and the Caspian region of Persia, but with the advent of Nadir Shah, the Russians and the Turks withdrew from the region. Nadir Shah waged war against the Ottomans from 1730 to 1736 but it ended with a stalemate. Nadir Shah afterwards turned east and declared war on the Mughal Empire and invaded India.
Nader Shah dreamed of an empire which would stretch from the Indus to the Bosphorus. Therefore he raised an army of 200,000, which consisted largely of rebellious Central Asian tribesmen, and he planned to march towards Constantinople, but after he learned that the Ottoman ulema was preparing for a holy war against Persia, he turned eastward. He captured Kirkuk, Arbil and besieged Mosul on 14 September 1743. The siege lasted for 40 days. The Pasha of Mosul, Hajji Hossein Al Jalili, successfully defended Mosul and Nader Shah was forced to retreat. The offensive was halted due to revolts in Persia (1743--44) over high taxes.Hostilities also spilled into Georgia, where Prince Givi Amilakhvari employed an Ottoman force in a futile attempt to undermine the Persian influence and dislodge Nadir's Georgian allies, Princes Teimuraz and Erekle.

The Treaty of Zuhab in 1639 between the Ottoman Empire and the Safavid Empire had resulted in peace for 85 years. After the fall of the Safavid Dynasty, Russia and Turkey (Ottoman Empire) agreed to divide the northwest and the Caspian region of Persia, but with the advent of Nadir Shah, the Russians and the Turks withdrew from the region. Nadir Shah waged war against the Ottomans from 1730 to 1736 but it ended with a stalemate. Nadir Shah afterwards turned east and declared war on the Mughal Empire and invaded India.
Nader Shah dreamed of an empire which would stretch from the Indus to the Bosphorus. Therefore he raised an army of 200,000, which consisted largely of rebellious Central Asian tribesmen, and he planned to march towards Constantinople, but after he learned that the Ottoman ulema was preparing for a holy war against Persia, he turned eastward. He captured Kirkuk, Arbil and besieged Mosul on 14 September 1743. The siege lasted for 40 days. The Pasha of Mosul, Hajji Hossein Al Jalili, successfully defended Mosul and Nader Shah was forced to retreat. The offensive was halted due to revolts in Persia (1743--44) over high taxes.Hostilities also spilled into Georgia, where Prince Givi Amilakhvari employed an Ottoman force in a futile attempt to undermine the Persian influence and dislodge Nadir's Georgian allies, Princes Teimuraz and Erekle.
