All of us have seen a world map at some point in our lives before, but it is very difficult to imagine how certain countries and parts of the world compare to each other in size that are far apart. In this video, I explore why the world looks very different than how it is portrayed in the Mercator Projection map. I then go on to explore how certain countries are unexpectedly larger or smaller than what they appear to be, and how some places looks wildly different than our perceptions.
PS; Don't totally hate on the Mercator Projection, it's actually a really useful map for navigation and on keeping the correct shape of countries while sacrificing the size that we can all laugh about!

How to play Ivy on CT side Train, and when to rotate on Mirage. Lots of sporadic tips and tricks in this one, I hope you guys learn something and get good. Campaign be Speedboost... fairly mediocre with high difficulty for all the wrong reasons... and it praised by many for god knows why... not to be an asshole about it, but really?...
Pros
+Map 4
+Custom survivors... also a version available without custom survivros...
+CSS weapons spawned... finally get to used the party cannon... aslo as a side note I have NO idea why it was left handed... :\
+Custom melee... I didn't used it since most of the time dropping it crashed my game... don't know why
+Custom music I heard was okay
Cons
-Bad brush work
-No skybox detailing
-Linear
-Bad looking shadows... (lack of HDR)
-Wrong soundscapes... I know I heard rain at some point...
-Difficult for all the wrong reason... Gauntlets... (will touch up on in conclusion)
-Custom Tank skin is bad...
-General lack of detailing with very barren areas...
-If it is not map for then the stairs are often laughable...
-No survivor dialogue... or infected call out... or idle conversation... no one coul talk unless forced to be an entity within the map...
-Invisible tank... no points reduced for this since it was a problem on my end...
-No supplies where they are truly need... and general bad supply balance...
-Terrible custom textures...
-Indoor areas were often unrealistic big with paper thin walls...
-Theme of snow was very inconsistent... with some props (from Ice Howl) being covered in snow while other are just there... same with many brush areas...
-Frame-rate drops here and there... somehow...
-Terrible navigation... bots of survivors and infected origins stuck everywhere... probably no infected ladder either judging from that one charger...
-Finale death trap was unnecessary...
Final Verdict

It is a bad map... which is a shame... because you can clearly see from the fourth map... the newest one... that the author is starting to learn... it does some good things with the custom content... but hanging a new chandelier in a rotting shack doesn't make the shack good...
The brush work, detailing, navigation, game balance, supply balance, most everything in the map needs a lot of work... the theme of snow is not used well at all... only used as a extra coat of paint for the shack... since it adds absolutely nothing to the map... soundscapes are generally wrong... hearing rain and forest effects in an semi-urban area covered in snow... supplies were always in the same plays... meaning not random supplies to find and no balance for the hugs hordes you will have to deal with again and again... frame-rate issues, bad textures... and apparently this map does not play well with other mods... I played on the normal version... with the survivors, but I guess somehow my normal mods override them, which is also probably why the tank was invisible for that one chapter... I don't understand this though... Deathcraft's survivors overrid mine, and Death Mountains Tank did also did... why this map choked is beyond me... maybe also the cause of the utter silence of the survivors as well...

A finale in Map 3... another LONG gauntlet to the saferoom in Map 4... and then an even longer gauntlet in Map 5... complete with a tank you can't run from and an instant death trap you have no idea is coming the first time around at the END... Look at dark carnival's gauntlet... look at it's length... it is short with varying layers... these maps have a long fucking run with only one layer... so then the infected are all funneled in your face for the next five minutes... I think I have made my point...
So... this is a mediocre map at best... relies too heavily on it's custom content for success... if you take away all custom content... and give the whole map dev textures... then ALL the charm it might have it now gone... I forgot to bring this up in Death Mountain, you take that map and do the same, you still have a great map with awesome puzzle's and backtracking... here you get a slightly curved line with nothing going for it...
Feedback is feedback... no matter how negative...
And I apologize if this has come off rather asshole like... this is more of a rant than an actual review... what I left on the campaign page was the review... this is first thoughts and general after thoughts of the playthrough... after all this is youtube... no need for absolute professionalism here...

Just because a map is a challenge doesn't necessarily mean that it's either fun or particularly well-designed. This one could be described as difficult, but for all the wrong reasons.
On a more technical level, this map's plagued by stupid mistakes, mainly door-type linedefs that are facing the wrong way. If you don't understand what that means, the short explanation is that they're broken and will cause bits of the map to break with it if activated in some way.
And that's just crap.

All of us have seen a world map at some point in our lives before, but it is very difficult to imagine how certain countries and parts of the world compare to each other in size that are far apart. In this video, I explore why the world looks very different than how it is portrayed in the Mercator Projection map. I then go on to explore how certain countries are unexpectedly larger or smaller than what they appear to be, and how some places looks wildly different than our perceptions.
PS; Don't totally hate on the Mercator Projection, it's actually a really useful map for navigation and on keeping the correct shape of countries while sacrificing the size that we can all laugh about!

+Map 4
+Custom survivors... also a version available without custom survivros...
+CSS weapons spawned... finally get to used the party cannon... aslo as a side note I have NO idea why it was left handed... :\
+Custom melee... I didn't used it since most of the time dropping it crashed my game... don't know why
+Custom music I heard was okay

-Bad brush work
-No skybox detailing
-Linear
-Bad looking shadows... (lack of HDR)
-Wrong soundscapes... I know I heard rain at some point...
-Difficult for all the wrong reason... Gauntlets... (will touch up on in conclusion)
-Custom Tank skin is bad...
-General lack of detailing with very barren areas...
-If it is not map for then the stairs are often laughable...
-No survivor dialogue... or infected call out... or idle conversation... no one coul talk unless forced to be an entity within the map...
-Invisible tank... no points reduced for this since it was a problem on my end...
-No supplies where they are truly need... and general bad supply balance...
-Terrible custom textures...
-Indoor areas were often unrealistic big with paper thin walls...
-Theme of snow was very inconsistent... with some props (from Ice Howl) being covered in snow while other are just there... same with many brush areas...
-Frame-rate drops here and there... somehow...
-Terrible navigation... bots of survivors and infected origins stuck everywhere... probably no infected ladder either judging from that one charger...
-Finale death trap was unnecessary...

It is a bad map... which is a shame... because you can clearly see from the fourth map... the newest one... that the author is starting to learn... it does some good things with the custom content... but hanging a new chandelier in a rotting shack doesn't make the shack good...
The brush work, detailing, navigation, game balance, supply balance, most everything in the map needs a lot of work... the theme of snow is not used well at all... only used as a extra coat of paint for the shack... since it adds absolutely nothing to the map... soundscapes are generally wrong... hearing rain and forest effects in an semi-urban area covered in snow... supplies were always in the same plays... meaning not random supplies to find and no balance for the hugs hordes you will have to deal with again and again... frame-rate issues, bad textures... and apparently this map does not play well with other mods... I played on the normal version... with the survivors, but I guess somehow my normal mods override them, which is also probably why the tank was invisible for that one chapter... I don't understand this though... Deathcraft's survivors overrid mine, and Death Mountains Tank did also did... why this map choked is beyond me... maybe also the cause of the utter silence of the survivors as well...

Given the level of lunacy these days, it’s hard to fathom why more surfers don’t die. It’s great they don’t, but watching a body get catapulted at Cape Fear, hammered at Jaws, or driven into the rocks at Shipsterns we’re immediately left wondering how the fuck they survived? Nature’s a freaky business. But every so often there are casualties, and when they come they’re heartbreaking and tragic. Looking back at the historical record, if you want to surf late into life, you should avoid these five spots
Puerto Escondido, Mexico
Ron Cassidy in 2007, Noel Robinson in 2011, then Jay Adams in 2014, Puerto Escondido has taken the lives of some good men. The problem of tourists getting washed out to sea and lost was pervasive, but recent improvements in lifeguard protection have had a profound impact at Playa Zicatela, but that doesn’t make the wave any more safe on its heaviest days. “I don’t know how I didn’t die out there,” Mark Healey pondering after catching a giant left out there last year. During the recent Puerto Escondido Challenge Makua Rothman pulled into a dark, sandy pit and came up with a lung full of foam. He was forced to the beach where it took him a long time to recover.

Time and again Maverick's has given the big-wave community reason to pause and reconsider. The 1994 death of Mark Foo made news around the world and quickly put Mavs on the map for all the wrong reasons. Its infamy was renewed in 2011 when Sion Milosky drowned. Cold and ominous, the Half Moon Bay heavy-water spot also almost took the life of aspiring charger Jacob Trette in 2012, and in 2011 Hollywood leading man Gerard Butler suffered a two-wave hold down during the filming of the Jay Moriarity bio-pic. It was a horrendous wipeout at Mavs that inspired Shane Dorian to develop the inflatable life vest so commonly worn by big-wave riders today. “It changed everything in my life, the way I approach everything,” said Dorian.

In 1943 the surf world was put on notice of just how dangerous big-wave surfing is when Dickie Cross disappeared at Waimea. On December 22, Cross and Woody Brown attempted to paddle out at Sunset Beach when a strong northwest swell quickly began filling in. With each set growing larger, the two paddled two and half miles down to Waimea to try and make it to the beach there. Brown made it, Cross did not. His body was never found. It would be years before anyone tempted fate out there again. In 1995 Waimea took the life of California’s Donnie Solomon, a fatality that hit New School guys like Kelly Slater, Shane Dorian and Todd Chesser close to to home. Most recently, on October 29, 2015, eccentric big-wave personality Alec “Ace” Coole paddled out at Waimea and disappeared. The search for his body was eventually called off days later.
Teahupoo, Tahiti
Search “surfer deaths at Teahupoo” and the phrase “nearly dies” comes up a lot. Most recently it was Niccolo Porcella that “nearly” died at Chopes. Before that it was Nathan Fletcher on the Code Red Day. “I don’t know how my head didn’t get ripped off,” famously said Nate afterwards. To date there have been more close calls than anyone wants to count, and five recorded deaths. The most notable is the 2001 wipeout of local charger Briece Taerea, who was out surfing in the lead-up to the Billabong Pro. He got sucked over the falls while trying to duck dive a 12-footer, he was driven into the reef where he broke his back in three places and was knocked into a coma. He succumbed to his injuries two days later. It stands as one of the most violent surf-related deaths on this list.

The data is irrefutable. Pipeline has killed more surfers than anywhere. Since 1989 it has taken the lives of seven surfers, and threatened the lives of countless others. Most recently, Florida’s Evan Geiselman, almost paid the ultimate price there. In December 2015 he hit the bottom and went unconscious before bodyboarder Andre Botha heroically pulled him to the surface and began resuscitation. Joel Parkinson hit the bottom and blacked out the year prior. Ask anybody that charges Pipe regularly and they’ll have their own near-death story. The list of deceased includes Andy Chuda, Travis Mussleman, Moto Watanabe, Malik Joyeux, Jon Mozo, Joshua Nakata and Joaquin Velilla.

65 years after a series of brutal slayings terrorized the small town of Texarkana, the “Moonlight Murders” suddenly begin again.

Now while this mission can be hard, it's hard for all the wrong reasons in my opinion, add this to my sickly state, thus enthusiasm to play it is low. But oh well, the last mission IS better. So stay tuned for the finale of the Serpent!

-No supplies where they are truly need... and general bad supply balance...
-Terrible custom textures...
-Indoor areas were often unrealistic big with paper thin walls...
-Theme of snow was very inconsistent... with some props (from Ice Howl) being covered in snow while other are just there... same with many brush areas...
-Frame-rate drops here and there... somehow...
-Terrible navigation... bots of survivors and infected origins stuck everywhere... probably no infected ladder either judging from that one charger...
-Finale death trap was unnecessary...

It is a bad map... which is a shame... because you can clearly see from the fourth map... the newest one... that the author is starting to learn... it does some good things with the custom content... but hanging a new chandelier in a rotting shack doesn't make the shack good...
The brush work, detailing, navigation, game balance, supply balance, most everything in the map needs a lot of work... the theme of snow is not used well at all... only used as a extra coat of paint for the shack... since it adds absolutely nothing to the map... soundscapes are generally wrong... hearing rain and forest effects in an semi-urban area covered in snow... supplies were always in the same plays... meaning not random supplies to find and no balance for the hugs hordes you will have to deal with again and again... frame-rate issues, bad textures... and apparently this map does not play well with other mods... I played on the normal version... with the survivors, but I guess somehow my normal mods override them, which is also probably why the tank was invisible for that one chapter... I don't understand this though... Deathcraft's survivors overrid mine, and Death Mountains Tank did also did... why this map choked is beyond me... maybe also the cause of the utter silence of the survivors as well...

Look at dark carnival's gauntlet... look at it's length... it is short with varying layers... these maps have a long fucking run with only one layer... so then the infected are all funneled in your face for the next five minutes... I think I have made my point...
So... this is a mediocre map at best... relies too heavily on it's custom content for success... if you take away all custom content... and give the whole map dev textures... then ALL the charm it might have it now gone... I forgot to bring this up in Death Mountain, you take that map and do the same, you still have a great map with awesome puzzle's and backtracking... here you get a slightly curved line with nothing going for it...

And I apologize if this has come off rather asshole like... this is more of a rant than an actual review... what I left on the campaign page was the review... this is first thoughts and general after thoughts of the playthrough... after all this is youtube... no need for absolute professionalism here...
