Virgin Media plc is a company which provides fixed and mobile telephone, television and broadband internet services to businesses and consumers in the United Kingdom. Its headquarters are in Hook, Hampshire, United Kingdom. The company has been a subsidiary of Liberty Global plc, an international television and telecommunications company headquartered in London, since June 2013. Virgin Media previously had a primary listing on the NASDAQ Stock Market and was a constituent of the NASDAQ-100 index. It also had a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange.
The company was formed in March 2006 by the merger of NTL and Telewest, which created NTL:Telewest. In November 2006 the company signed a deal with Sir Richard Branson to license the Virgin brand for the combined business. All of the company's consumer services were rebranded under the Virgin Media name in February 2007.
People want fast broadband connection and Virgin Media gives them just that. Fast speed is Virgin Media’s competitive edge in technology. Our new ad is about what it feels like to experience speed, at a physical and emotional level. When Usain Bolt broke the world 100m record he did it in an incredible 9.58 seconds. Our ad re-creates that experience, over and over again and with increasing excitement. It describes the feeling of running at such speed from different and varied perspectives. ‘9.58 seconds’ informs the structure of the ad. It is a modular piece, made up of ten 9.58 second sequences. It attempts to lift the lid on the real Bolt. It shows the ‘overwhelming rush of hurt’ he describes when talking about his training schedule, the impact his achievement had on adoring fans, th...

Hi I am not a professional video Editor or voiceover artist and this was one of my very first YouTube Videos, so apologies for the quality of this video, it's not exactly BBC standard. I had a number of issues with the H3 and wanted to share my experience to help others who experience similar issues. Virgin Media replaced my first HUB 3.0 after multiple issues. Now I have had this replacement for a couple of days I have produced a quick update. I hope it is of some use to you and invite you to hit like if it does. Thank you for watching.

The Virgin Hub 3.0 has now been released to UK residents. My experience has not been a great one but I have tried to stick to the facts and provide as much detail as I can. I apologise for the sound quality, video effects and any other cheesey or unprofessional content. I have only been using this video editing software for a few weeks and and s...

In conclusion I'd say that if you use the internet a lot, then you couldn't go far wrong by getting Virgin fibre optic broadband, you've just got to pick the right package for you. 50Mbs, 100Mbs, 152Mbs - for me, what I wanted was the best and fastest, and I can truly now say that I'm so glad we got it and it's worth every penny. Do bear in mind that although the service is advertised as 120 / 152mbs, in the real world you get very different performance depending on how far away from the router you are and how many laptops, phones, Roku's and Wii's you've got attached and what they're doing. For this video there's my laptop and Suzanne's laptop, and both our phones are active on the network, with a Roku, and A Wii on but not streaming anything. Thanks, Rob. http://www.robnunnphoto.com

Over the last few months, Virgin Media have been writing to customers it believes are vulnerable to Poodle; an exploit against the SSL & TLS protocols. Apart from removing my telephone number & postcode, this is an unedited recording of how they attempted to fix it. Suffice to say, it didn't go well. They not only ignored my request not to install any software (java, flash, adblock+, silverlight etc) but completely failed to fix Poodle. This is the heavily shortened version. The full version (at 2hrs 10 minutes long) is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwQojoLaxyA and is only edited to remove the phone number & postcode.
Pitching is hard in any discipline, but especially so for a young film maker with limited experience in doing so and limited funds to get their idea/ script off the ground. In Session 3 a panel of established pros give some tips on how to sell a big idea to a big distributor or sponsor, as well as hearing from the people themselves about the process of pitching ideas and having ideas pitched to them too too Chaired by independent film producer, Jude Goldrei:
Recently, I have been trying to switch from Sky to Virgin because Sky's standard broadband upload speeds are bobbins, and if I want cable then Virgin has the fastest speeds. However, I first rang up on Sunday 1.6.14, negotiated a free installation (instead of the £50 charge), and booked it in for 11.6.14. However, the confirmation email came through for an address in Bradford, which is nowhere where I live. Changing the address meant changing the date (to 18.6.14 - meaning I've got to take a day off work especially, thanks to Virgin's cock-up), because my own house had never had Virgin Media, so needed all the wiring doing from the street. I tried an email to the CEO, Tom Mockridge, and when I had a call from the team who fields these emails, I also mentioned that the house had had Nynex...
It's been 4 months or so since I last uploaded something on here so hey, have another one of these just to prove I'm not abandoning this account this soon. xD Several things have changed since I recorded this, where the channel line-up I have's concerned, so I will proberbly do another one eventually that's a little more up-to-date (if I do, it certainly won't be posted too soon, for sure). For now though, for those who're interested in these sorts of videos, enjoy! Also, my apologies for some slightly icky stuff a little before the middle of this (not pornographic, obviously not, but still not pleasant), I'll cover it up with an annotation for those who don't like that sort of stuff which can optionally be turned off by turning off annotations too. Okay, I'm done here for now, more stuf...
