Godavari Arch Bridge HD (Kovvur-Rajahmundry Bridge)
The Godavari Arch Bridge also called the Kovvur-Rajahmundry Bridge, is a new bridge built across the Godavari River in Rajamundry in Andhra Pradesh, India and is the third bridge in the series of bridges that exist on the river in the state. The other two bridges located upstream of the new bridge are the Old Godavari Bridge, a stone bridge known as the Havelock Bridge built by Sir Arthur Cotton in 1897 and parallel to it (since decommissioned), and the second railway bridge, a truss bridge, a functioning rail cum road bridge called the Godavari Bridge. Total length=2745 metres (9006 ft) Longest span=97.552 metres (320 ft), effective span 94 metres (308 ft).

The Godavari River is a major waterway in central India, originating in the Western Ghats Trimbakeshwar, in the Nashik Subdivision or District Of Maharashtra and flowing eastwardly across the Deccan Plateau through the state of Maharashtra. It is known as dakshin ganga (Southern Ganges). It enters Andhra Pradesh at Basara in Adilabad district. While passing through telangana region of Andhra Pradesh it touches a small village called Dharmapuri which is a pilgrimage village with many ancient Hindu temples and river Godavari serving as spiritual place in true sense for bathing in Godavari river spread over rocks and sand. While crossing the Deccan Plateau and then turns to flow in a southeast direction until it empties into the Bay of Bengal through two mouths. Basara, on the banks of Godavari in Adilabad District, is home to a famous temple for Goddess Saraswati and is the second temple for the Goddess in India. In Belgaum, discharge of water from reservoirs in Maharashtra into river Krishna and its tributaries has created a flood-like situation in the villages on the banks of the river and its tributaries in the district. More than 1.18 lakh cusec water flowed into river Krishna, from Rajapur barrage bordering Maharashtra and 11 bridges and barrages, including eight in Chikodi taluk alone, were submerged in river waters. Water discharge from Koyna Dam that was 1.25 lakh cusec on Monday came down to 1.10 lakh cusec on Tuesday. The discharge would continue for a few more days with the dam nearing its full capacity. Rains subdued in southern Maharashtra and in the catchments of river Krishna and its tributaries on Tuesday and if the same situation continues discharge from the reservoirs would come down, said sources. Increase in the river Malaprabha has resulted in an old-bridge and Asoga bridge in Khanapur getting submerged and floods in river Hiranyakeshi has resulted in the Sultanpur bridge in Hukkeri getting submerged. Dr. Nataraja Ramakrishna is the most respected Acharya in Dances of Andhra Pradesh. He revived Andhra Natyam, one of the most ancient classical dance forms of India. He recreated the "Perini Sivathandavam", the militant male dance tradition of the 10th century AD. He has revived 'Navajanardanam', a great Prabandha dance tradition that was performed in Kunthi Madhava Temple at Pithapuram in the East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. Dr. Nataraja Ramakrishna choreographed and staged "Sri Venkateswara Kalyanam", "Kumara Sambhavam" and "Megha Sandesam". He has written over 40 books on dance traditions of Andhra Pradesh and ancient dance forms and served as a Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Sangeeta Natak Academy. As a dance artist, Guru, scholar, Musicologist, he has been propagating classical dances in Andhra Pradesh for over 50 years. For his outstanding contributions in reviving Indian Classical dance, he has been conferred with countless awards including 'Nataraja', Padmasri and Bharatakalaprapoorna. At the age of 87 years he is still actively researching and teaching dance to hundreds of adoring students through Guru-Shishya Parampara. Khammam (Telugu: ఖమ్మం), is the headquarters of the Khammam District in Andhra Pradesh state of India.a The name of the town Khammam is derived from the name of a local hill called Stambhadri which has an ancient temple of Narasimha Swamy on its top. This temple is believed to have been existing since Treta Yuga. Historical records show that the name was "Kammamet"[1][2][3][4][5][6]. The town is located on the banks of a river called Munneru which is a tributary of the Krishna River. Khammam district has a lot of historical importance in Andhra Pradesh. Khammam town which was the seat of Taluk Administration was part of the larger Warangal district, till 1 October 1953. Five taluks of the Warangal district viz., Khammam, Madhira, Yellandu, Burgampadu , Palonchaand(Kothagudem) were carved out and a new district Khammam with Khammam as District Headquarters. In 1959 Bhadrachalam Revenue Division consisting Bhadrachalam and Manuguru Venkatapuram Taluks of East Godavari district, which were on the other side of the river Godavari were merged into Khammam on grounds of geographical contiguity and administrative viability.
