Released in 2003 on Touch & Go Records, the EP helped establish the band's distinctive blending of electronica, doo wop, post-rock, and avant-garde styles. The release also featured the single "Staring at the Sun" which would later be remixed and reissued in their full-length album Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes. It also contains an a cappella version of "Mr. Grieves", which was originally a rock song by Pixies from the album Doolittle.

I was just waiting outside
For her to find me
Picked up the paddles from my
Front garden bay
Snucked up the drive way,
Hit on the window and it was so quiet
My heart was just pounding
Up up they went to knock on her window, sell
You & me were meant to be
The storm's coming out
The storm's coming out
You & me were meant to be
We are running
