Andy may refer to:
A surname or family name is a name added to a given name. In many cases, a surname is a family name and many dictionaries define "surname" as a synonym of "family name". In the western hemisphere, it is commonly synonymous with last name because it is usually placed at the end of a person's given name.
In most Spanish-speaking and Portuguese-speaking countries, two or more last names (or surnames) may be used. In China, Hungary, Japan, Korea, Madagascar, Taiwan, Vietnam, and parts of India, the family name is placed before a person's given name.
The style of having both a family name (surname) and a given name (forename) is far from universal. In many countries, it is common for ordinary people to have only one name or mononym.
The concept of a "surname" is a relatively recent historical development, evolving from a medieval naming practice called a "byname". Based on an individual's occupation or area of residence, a byname would be used in situations where more than one person had the same name.
Francis Albert "Frank" Sinatra (/sᵻˈnɑːtrə/; December 12, 1915 – May 14, 1998) was an American singer, actor, producer, and director, who was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century. Sinatra's music has been considered timeless by many. He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 150 million records worldwide. Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Italian immigrants, he began his musical career in the swing era with Harry James and Tommy Dorsey. He found success as a solo artist after being signed by Columbia Records in 1943, becoming the idol of the "bobby soxers". He released his first album, The Voice of Frank Sinatra, in 1946. Sinatra's professional career had stalled by the early 1950s, and he turned to Las Vegas, where he became one of its best known performers as part of the Rat Pack. His career was reborn in 1953 with the success of From Here to Eternity and his subsequent Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He signed with Capitol Records and released several critically lauded albums, including In the Wee Small Hours (1955), Songs for Swingin' Lovers! (1956), Come Fly with Me (1958), Only the Lonely (1958) and Nice 'n' Easy (1960).

Howard Andrew "Andy" Williams (December 3, 1927 – September 25, 2012) was an American popular music singer. He recorded forty-four albums in his career, seventeen of which have been Gold-certified and three of which have been Platinum-certified. He hosted The Andy Williams Show, a television variety show, from 1962 to 1971, and numerous television specials. The Moon River Theatre in Branson, Missouri is named after the song he is most known for singing—Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini's "Moon River".
Williams was born in Wall Lake, Iowa, the son of Jay Emerson and Florence (née Finley) Williams. While living in Cheviot, Ohio, Williams attended Western Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio; he finished high school at University High School, in West Los Angeles, because of his family's move to California. He had three older brothers—Bob, Don, and Dick Williams.
Williams's first performance was in a children's choir at the local Presbyterian church. He and his brothers formed The Williams Brothers quartet in late 1938, and they performed on radio in the Midwest, first at WHO, in Des Moines, Iowa, and later at WLS, in Chicago, and WLW, in Cincinnati.
Harry Lillis "Bing" Crosby, Jr. (May 3, 1903 – October 14, 1977) was an American singer and actor. Crosby's trademark warm bass-baritone voice made him the best-selling recording artist of the 20th century, having sold over one billion records, tapes, compact discs and digital downloads around the world.
The first multimedia star, from 1931 to 1954 Crosby was a leader in record sales, radio ratings, and motion picture grosses. His early career coincided with technical recording innovations such as the microphone. This allowed him to develop a laid-back, intimate singing style that influenced many of the popular male singers who followed him, including Perry Como,Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin. Yank magazine recognized Crosby as the person who had done the most for American G.I. morale during World War II and, during his peak years, around 1948, American polls declared him the "most admired man alive", ahead of Jackie Robinson and Pope Pius XII. Also in 1948, the Music Digest estimated that Crosby recordings filled more than half of the 80,000 weekly hours allocated to recorded radio music.

Andy Sinatra AKA the Mystic Barber appears on the Long John Nebel Show in 1958 on WOR and discusses astral projection, the moon and other planets, space languages, fourth dimension, and other topics. Sinatra’s wife also makes an appearance to discuss a dream that she had. Another guest, Paulina Peavy goes into a trance at 56 minutes into the recording. The other guests include, David Bell, Charles Leedham (radio and television producer), Charles Wildes (of "the Association to Advance Ethical Hypnosis", John Cook of "the Association to Advance Ethical Hypnosis". Long John Nebel discussed the paranormal and UFOs on his radio show years before Art Bell and George Noory's Coast to Coast.
From the Dean Martin Christmas Special that aired on December 16th 1980, Dean and Andy perform the same duet as Dean did with Engelbert Humperdinck in 1970 except it was "Crosby, Sinatra, and Me". (The Engelbert version can be found here: https://youtu.be/stp9B7QSFX0 ) This original video, which evidently came from VHS tape, had faded colors making Dean and Andy look grayish pink. The colors have been corrected and the video rendered in high-definition. It still has flaws, but for the most part looks and sounds better. :)

Andy Williams - It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year It's the most wonderful time of the year With the kids jingle belling And everyone telling you "Be of good cheer" It's the most wonderful time of the year It's the hap-happiest season of all With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings When friends come to call It's the hap- happiest season of all There'll be parties for hosting Marshmallows for toasting And caroling out in the snow There'll be scary ghost stories And tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago

Here, from my collection of personally recorded videos, is the full March 13, 1988 version of Larry King's interview with Ol' Blue Eyes himself, the one and only Frank Sinatra as repeated on December 26, 1997 in honor of Frank's recent 82nd birthday. As Sinatra rarely gave interviews, this one turned out to be his final major one. Enjoy! Perhaps, The Saddest Love Song Of All Time! ONCE UPON A TIME - Lyrics: (Lee Adams / Charles Strouse) Once upon a time, a girl with moonlight in her eyes Put her hand in mine and said she loved me so But that was once upon a time, very long ago Once upon a time, we sat beneath the willow tree Counting all the stars and waiting for the dawn But that was once upon a time -- now the tree has gone How the breeze ruffled through her hair How we always laughed as though tomorrow wasn't there We were young and didn't have a care Where did it go? Once upon a time, the world was sweeter than we knew Everything was ours -- how happy we were then But, somehow, once upon a time never comes again...
