The ukkadam big tank bund road is open to public on June 9, 2015 (monday). This road is constructed to reduce the traffic in ukkadam junction. The road is open only for 2 wheelers coming from palakad road. The road is inaguarated by chief minister Jayalalitha through video conference from chennai. About 5 crore has been spend for the construction and it is constructed over 1.25 km. While traveling through the road we can see nice view of the lake. The spot is very apt for movie shooting. When you get time, don't miss to travel through this road. Its awesome. Fences were erected on both sides and 68 solar powered street lights were also installed. Grasses are planted on the sides of the bund.
