All of the behind the scenes footage used in the video was from a film I wrote produced, and directed Called Seafood Tester. I own all the rights for that film and any footage used in it. What camera do you use?
Panasonic GH4, although if you like the footage I'm filming I owe it more to the lenses I use, invest in good lenses, not an expensive camera.
Please don't think that my videos are great because of my camera. The camera you use is only a tool. I could use other cameras and still tell a good story, different cameras enable different possibilities, not a better video or story.
The footage does not look like it does in the finished movie straight out of the camera. I go through a process called Color Grading.
What lenses do you use?
I primarily use a Voigtlander 25mm F/0.95, Nikon 35mm F/1.8, and a SLR Magic 12mm F/1.6 (My camera has a crop factor of 2X so 25mm=50mm etc..)
How do you stabilize your footage?
Tripod, Monopod, Glidecam HD4000
What do you edit and color grade with?
Final Cut Pro X and I use Color Finale within FCP sometimes along with Impulz and Osiris LUTS. I could edit what I edit in iMovie or Premiere or Vegas, it's not the Editing Software, it's the Editor.
How long does it take you to edit?
Not very long, well most videos I can edit within 4-6 hours, anything more than that and it's mostly minor details and polishing that I just take my time with. Depending on the project it can take days or weeks though. (Editing is my jam)
How do you come up with your ideas?
Well I have a bunch of ideas written in my Notes app on my phone that just come to me, sometimes I'll just get an idea and I'll be like "yes!" and I'll just execute that idea as soon as I have it, I don't like dwelling on ideas that I can execute with what I have at that moment.
How old are you?
I am 18
Where did you learn filmmaking?
Nowhere, taught it to myself from the internet and practice, lots and lots of practice. I started filmmaking in April or May of 2015 (can't remember well) if that's any help showing how much practice can help you improve!

Filmmaking (often referred to in an academic context as film production) is the process of making a film, from an initial story, idea, or commission, through scriptwriting, casting, shooting, editing, and screening the finished product before an audience that may result in a theatrical release or television program. Filmmaking takes place all over the planet in a huge range of economic, social, and political contexts, and using a variety of technologies and cinematic techniques. Typically, it involves a large number of people, and takes from a few months to several years to complete, although it may take longer if there are production issues, and the record for the longest production time for a major film is The Thief and the Cobbler's 28 years development.
Film production occurs in three stages:
In this stage, the project's producer finds a story, which may come from a book, play, another film, a true story, original idea, etc. After identifying a theme or underlying message, the producer works with writers to prepare a synopsis. Next they produce a step outline, which breaks the story down into one-paragraph scenes that concentrate on dramatic structure. Then, they prepare a treatment, a 25-to-30-page description of the story, its mood, and characters. This usually has little dialogue and stage direction, but often contains drawings that help visualize key points. Another way is to produce a scriptment once a synopsis is produced.

Quentin Jerome Tarantino (pronunciation: /ˌtærənˈtiːnoʊ/; born March 27, 1963) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer and actor. He has received many industry awards, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA and the Palme d'Or and had been nominated for an Emmy and Grammy.
Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Tarantino was an avid film fan. His career began in the late 1980's, when he wrote and directed My Best Friend's Birthday. Its screenplay would form the basis for True Romance. In the early 1990s, he began his career as an independent filmmaker with films employing nonlinear storylines and the aestheticization of violence. His films include Reservoir Dogs (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994), Jackie Brown (1997), Kill Bill (2003, 2004), Death Proof (2007), and Inglourious Basterds (2009).
His movies are generally characterized by stylistic influences from grindhouse, kung fu, and spaghetti western films. Tarantino also frequently collaborates with his friend and fellow filmmaker Robert Rodriguez.

Panasonic GH4, although if you like the footage I'm filming I owe it more to the lenses I use, invest in good lenses, not an expensive camera. Please don't think that my videos are great because of my camera. The camera you use is only a tool. I could use other cameras and still tell a good story, different cameras enable different possibilities, not a better video or story. The footage does not look like it does in the finished movie straight out of the camera. I go through a process called Color Grading. What lenses do you use? I primarily use a Voigtlander 25mm F/0.95, Nikon 35mm F/1.8, and a SLR Magic 12mm F/1.6 (My camera has a crop factor of 2X so 25mm=50mm etc..) How do you stabilize your footage? Tripod, Monopod, Glidecam HD4000 What do you edit and color grade with? Final Cut Pro X and I use Color Finale within FCP sometimes along with Impulz and Osiris LUTS. I could edit what I edit in iMovie or Premiere or Vegas, it's not the Editing Software, it's the Editor. How long does it take you to edit? Not very long, well most videos I can edit within 4-6 hours, anything more than that and it's mostly minor details and polishing that I just take my time with. Depending on the project it can take days or weeks though. (Editing is my jam) How do you come up with your ideas? Well I have a bunch of ideas written in my Notes app on my phone that just come to me, sometimes I'll just get an idea and I'll be like "yes!" and I'll just execute that idea as soon as I have it, I don't like dwelling on ideas that I can execute with what I have at that moment. How old are you? I am 18 Where did you learn filmmaking? Nowhere, taught it to myself from the internet and practice, lots and lots of practice. I started filmmaking in April or May of 2015 (can't remember well) if that's any help showing how much practice can help you improve! Where do you live? The footage does not look like it does in the finished movie straight out of the camera. I go through a process called Color Grading.
What lenses do you use?
I primarily use a Voigtlander 25mm F/0.95, Nikon 35mm F/1.8, and a SLR Magic 12mm F/1.6 (My camera has a crop factor of 2X so 25mm=50mm etc..)
How do you stabilize your footage?
Tripod, Monopod, Glidecam HD4000
What do you edit and color grade with?
Final Cut Pro X and I use Color Finale within FCP sometimes along with Impulz and Osiris LUTS. I could edit what I edit in iMovie or Premiere or Vegas, it's not the Editing Software, it's the Editor.
How long does it take you to edit?
Not very long, well most videos I can edit within 4-6 hours, anything more than that and it's mostly minor details and polishing that I just take my time with. Depending on the project it can take days or weeks though. (Editing is my jam)
How do you come up with your ideas?
Well I have a bunch of ideas written in my Notes app on my phone that just come to me, sometimes I'll just get an idea and I'll be like "yes!" and I'll just execute that idea as soon as I have it, I don't like dwelling on ideas that I can execute with what I have at that moment.
How old are you?
I am 18
Where did you learn filmmaking?
Nowhere, taught it to myself from the internet and practice, lots and lots of practice. I started filmmaking in April or May of 2015 (can't remember well) if that's any help showing how much practice can help you improve!

I primarily use a Voigtlander 25mm F/0.95, Nikon 35mm F/1.8, and a SLR Magic 12mm F/1.6 (My camera has a crop factor of 2X so 25mm=50mm etc..)
How do you stabilize your footage?
Tripod, Monopod, Glidecam HD4000
What do you edit and color grade with?
Final Cut Pro X and I use Color Finale within FCP sometimes along with Impulz and Osiris LUTS. I could edit what I edit in iMovie or Premiere or Vegas, it's not the Editing Software, it's the Editor.
How long does it take you to edit?
Not very long, well most videos I can edit within 4-6 hours, anything more than that and it's mostly minor details and polishing that I just take my time with. Depending on the project it can take days or weeks though. (Editing is my jam)
How do you come up with your ideas?
Well I have a bunch of ideas written in my Notes app on my phone that just come to me, sometimes I'll just get an idea and I'll be like "yes!" and I'll just execute that idea as soon as I have it, I don't like dwelling on ideas that I can execute with what I have at that moment.
How old are you?
I am 18
Where did you learn filmmaking?
Nowhere, taught it to myself from the internet and practice, lots and lots of practice. I started filmmaking in April or May of 2015 (can't remember well) if that's any help showing how much practice can help you improve!
