Ethnic conflict

An ethnic conflict or ethnic war is an armed conflict between ethnic groups. It contrasts with civil war on one hand (where a single nation or ethnic group is fighting among itself) and conventional warfare on the other, where two or more sovereign states (which may or may not be nation states) are in conflict.

Examples of ethnic wars since the 1990s that were mostly caused by secessionist movements leading to the breakup of multi-ethnic states along ethnic lines are: the Yugoslav Wars, the First Chechen War, the Nagorno-Karabakh War, the Rwandan Civil War, the War in Darfur, the Internal conflict in Myanmar and the 2014 pro-Russian unrest in Ukraine, among others.

Academic explanations of ethnic conflict generally fall into one of three schools of thought: primordialist, instrumentalist or constructivist. Intellectual debate has also focussed on the issue of whether ethnic conflict has become more prevalent since the end of the Cold War, and on devising ways of managing conflicts, through instruments such as consociationalism and federalisation.

War

War is a state of armed conflict between societies. It is generally characterized by extreme collective aggression, destruction, and usually high mortality. The set of techniques and actions used to conduct war is known as warfare. An absence of war is usually called "peace". Total war is warfare that is not restricted to purely legitimate military targets, and can result in massive civilian or other non-combatant casualties.

While some scholars see war as a universal and ancestral aspect of human nature, others argue that it is only a result of specific socio-cultural or ecological circumstances.

In 2013 war resulted in 31,000 deaths down from 72,000 deaths in 1990. The deadliest war in history, in terms of the cumulative number of deaths since its start, is the Second World War, from 1939 to 1945, with 60–85 million deaths, followed by the Mongol conquests which was greater than 41 million. Proportionally speaking, the most destructive war in modern history is the War of the Triple Alliance, which took the lives of over 60% of Paraguay's population, according to Steven Pinker. In 2003, Richard Smalley identified war as the sixth (of ten) biggest problem facing humanity for the next fifty years. War usually results in significant deterioration of infrastructure and the ecosystem, a decrease in social spending, famine, large-scale emigration from the war zone, and often the mistreatment of prisoners of war or civilians. Another byproduct of some wars is the prevalence of propaganda by some or all parties in the conflict, and increased revenues by weapons manufacturers.

Some trucks made it through, some didn't.. but ALL OF THEM gave a Great High Flying Action Fun Filled performance for you to enjoy!! This film is Part 2 of 2 in the series - (Part 1 here: http://bit.ly/1KrBhh1) These are Losi 1/5th scale 4x4 Short Course Trucks. Each one of them are powered by a gasoline/oil mix engine with an electronic brain. Each one of these vehicles have been modified in one form or another to optimize their performance, to the liking of their drivers. Welcome to the RCSparks Studio Race Track, a private place we invite friends and family to have some awesome RC fun! The "Little Dirty" is a series of races prior to the BiG DiRTY Race held at the End of August (usually). These races are really just practice for the drivers and a chance to test out their rigs after modding, or purchasing equipment/new trucks. Today was Really Hot - about +35c and the engines are running well. We are all dying of heatstroke (Canucks are usually in a deep freeze), but loving every minute of it!! The racers came out and the volunteers were there to help out flipping some trucks! Really AWESOME! I used 6 cameras to capture footage including 2 GoPro's, 3 Video Cameras, and a DJi Phantom for Aerial footage. Shooting this film took a lot of planning and preparation at the race track, as well as getting all the gear in the right place at the right time. A SPECiAL Thanks to Donna and Jennett, my two amazing Camera Ladies, as well as my bro Everett for assisting in getting great footage for all to enjoy! An even BiGGER SHOUT OUT to all that help make RC ADVENTURES and these types of events possible! The movie opens with an unknown person killing Minister Rawat's brother Taxi Set and his henchmen thus saving three men. Rawat orders a CBI Officer to catch the criminal so that he may kill that killer. The scene shifts to Hyderabad where Cherry is a software engineer in CgTrix. He has an uncle named Jilebi, who unexpectedly runs into trouble and angers the local Don Gandi Babji. Cherry hatches a plan to save Jilebi from Babji and succeeds but falls for Babji's sister Madhu in the process. Though Madhu initially rejects him, after his act of saving children from a mafia don, she reciprocates his love. This angers Babji and he goes to kill him but gets shocked seeing Cherry assassinating the DGP of West Bengal. As fate would have it, at this point, the CBI Officer finds out that Cherry is responsible for the two murders, who is innocent in reality. With Jilebi, the CBI Officer goes to Kumbha Mela at Kasi to catch him. Meanwhile, when Rawat is offering holy rituals the CBI Officer catches Cherry and holds him. But the look-alike of Cherry, who killed Rawat's Brother, rises from the Ganges and hurts Rawat with a trident and injures all of his guards. As he is about to deliver a finishing Blow, the CBI Officer tases him and arrests him, exonerating Cherry. Then Cherry comes to know the story of his look-alike.
