Strong inflection

A strong inflection is a system of verb conjugation or noun/adjective declension which can be contrasted with an alternative system in the same language, which is then known as a weak inflection. The term strong was coined with reference to the Germanic verb, but has since been used of other phenomena in these and other languages, which may or may not be analogous. Note that there is nothing objectively "strong" about a strong form; the term is only meaningful in opposition to "weak" as a means of distinguishing paradigms within a single language. Nor is there any distinguishing feature common to all strong forms, except that they are always counterpoints to "weak" ones.

The Germanic strong verb, occurring in Germanic languages including German and English, is characterised by a vowel shift called ablaut. Examples in English include give/gave, come/came, fall/fell. Nada (1947 film)

Nada is a 1947 Spanish drama film directed by Edgar Neville. It is based on Carmen Laforet's famous novel Nada which won the Premio Nadal. It was written by Carmen Laforet.

The novel was filmed also in Argentina in (1956) by Leopoldo Torre Nilsson with the title Graciela.

Although the film is an entirely Spanish production, the cast includes some Italian actors: Fosco Giachetti, María Denis, Adriano Rimoldi.

The film was censored and cut by 30 minutes, so credited actors such as Félix Navarro, María Bru and Rafael Bardem disappeared from the film. The role of José María Mompín was hardly reduced. Most of the Barcelona exteriors were removed.

Steve Grainger is an English electronic music composer and performer. His current project is nada (always written in lower-case letters).

Biography

Grainger has been active as a musician and producer for almost 30 years, in which time he has worked as a music writer for TV production companies, produced numerous records and played in several bands - most notably, those of the mid-noughties Brighton scene such as The Customers and The Small.

In 1999 he signed with Infectious Records, a subsidiary of Mushroom Records as a founder member of Elevator Suite with DJs Andy Childs and Paul Roberts, a band whose first two singles were crowned "Record Of The Week" on BBC Radio 1, and who went on to tour Europe with Morcheeba and release a critically acclaimed album: Barefoot & Shitfaced.

nada's music references a variety of sources including post-war European 'art' music, classical impressionism, expressionism and romanticism, musique concrète, ethnic folk musics, circus bands, fairground mechanical organs, minimalism, electronica, post rock, ambient, dance music, easy listening and jazz.

Stay+

Stay+, also known as Stay Positive or Stay Plus (and formerly known as Christian AIDS) is an electronic music act originating from Manchester. Originally loosely termed a 'collective', the act is now known to be the solo project of London-born music producer, Matt Farthing. Not much else is known, biographically, about Stay+ as an element of anonymity has maintained around the project until its most recent activity. Choosing to release only limited press shots, interviews and details about members/collaborators. One example saw a balloon artist take their place for a Radio 1 interview, another saw an interview answered entirely with YouTube found footage. Following a series of releases on the RAMP label (Flying Lotus, Falty DL), garnering notable critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork, 'Crashed' was released on Black Butter Records in November 2012 and proved a commercial step up for the project; receiving heavy mainstream radio play from the likes of champions like Radio 1's Annie Mac who made it her Record of the Week.
