The "Black Plague" or "Black Death" epidemic swept through Europe from 1348 through 1351, killing an estimated 25--50% of Europeans. Some estimates are as high as 2/3 of the population of Europe. The Black Death followed a period of population growth in Europe which, combined with two years of cold weather and torrential rains that wiped out grain crops, resulted in a shortage of food for humans and rats. This caused people and animals to crowd in cities, providing an optimal environment for disease.
The Black Death is an Early Access Survival Adventure Multiplayer RPG that costs £14.99 on Steam, I remember hearing about this game sometime last year so I was excited to be given a free code to try it out, I initially thought The Black Death was an MMORPG but it turns out to be more of a survival game as there's only room for 50 players on each server, Starting the game you'll get to choose from one of 4 professions, the militia, the merchant, the peasant or the beggar each of which has their own advantages, The Black Death also features target-less combat an open world, perma death and decent graphical fidelity with it being made in Unreal Engine 4.

In this video I managed to get a code for the early access version of The Black Death, A survival RPG set in the dark middle ages of Europe, a time where the lands are ravaged by plague and resources are low, Players must choose a profession and earn money to survive, When you die in The Black Death you lose all your characters skills and entire inventory, currently this was is way to early in development to be properly judged or recommended but In it's current state I would not recommend buying access to it yet

Gameplay focuses around player interaction due to the classes they chose (Peasants, Militia, Hunters, Merchant, Smith, and Monk are all playable classes that seem to be available now). What is The Black Death?
The Black Death will launch on to Steam’s Early Access program. This means the game is still in active development and is liable to change. The Early Access program will not only allow the player enjoy the fantastic gameplay experience that is The Black Death, but will also allow the player to make a real difference to how the game progresses.
The Game:
Medieval Europe is an unforgiving place at the best of times. Danger and disease are ever present and survival is always a challenge. But now, Europe is witnessing one of it's darkest times - a plague has swept across the continent, leaving a trail of death and despair in its wake. Now people have to fight for scarce resources - the smartest, the opportunistic and the powerful have the best chances of survival. The poorest, the weakest and the most vulnerable face almost certain death.
The Black Death is a multiplayer survival game that allows you to choose your own path in this dark, medieval land, complete with a diverse population of villagers, wildlife, and plague victims. Create your own story from a range of different play styles - become a blacksmith; defend the weak as a knight; or earn your living as a merchant. The wealthier, the richer, the stronger you become, the better your chance of survival.
Key Early Access Features:
Survive. It’s not just the plague you need to watch out for. Hunt, harvest or steal supplies to avoid meeting your end in this harsh medieval world.
Live. Pick from range of professions to suit your play style. Fight as a Militia or farm as a Peasant – its your choice.
Fight. Choose your battles wisely. Time your swings and parries, then strike your foes with a unique combat system.
Explore. Inspired by the landscape of Western Europe, Plague features a 8km2 world with a day / night cycle, animals and a range of characters to interact with.
Buy. Everything has a price. Weapons, armor, houses and more are all able to be purchased throughout the land. How you earn your coin is up to you...

The black plague has broke out in Madagascar. In late 2013, a deadly outbreak of the plague hit small villages around the country killing dozens of people. Rumored to have taken root in overcrowded prisons, the disease has flourished amid Madagascar’s increasing poverty and poor waste management. Antibiotics to treat the disease have been developed and are available in most countries, but Madagascar’s rudimentary healthcare system has left a number of people stranded without care.

Black Death
The Black Death was one of the most devastating pandemics in human history, resulting in the deaths of an estimated 75 to 200 million people and peaking in Europe in the years 1346–53. Although there were several competing theories as to the etiology of the Black Death, analysis of DNA from victims in northern and southern Europe published in 2010 and 2011 indicates that the pathogen responsible was the Yersinia pestis bacterium, probably causing several forms of plague.
The Black Death is thought to have originated in the arid plains of Central Asia, where it then travelled along the Silk Road, reaching Crimea by 1343. From there, it was most likely carried by Oriental rat fleas living on the black rats that were regular passengers on merchant ships. Spreading throughout the Mediterranean and Europe, the Black Death is estimated to have killed 30–60% of Europe's total population. In total, the plague reduced the world population from an estimated 450 million down to 350–375 million in the 14th century. The world population as a whole did not recover to pre-plague levels until the 17th century. The plague recurred occasionally in Europe until the 19th century.

The Black Death is an Early Access Survival Adventure Multiplayer RPG that costs £14.99 on Steam, I remember hearing about this game sometime last year so I was excited to be given a free code to try it out, I initially thought The Black Death was an MMORPG but it turns out to be more of a survival game as there's only room for 50 players on each server, Starting the game you'll get to choose from one of 4 professions, the militia, the merchant, the peasant or the beggar each of which has their own advantages, The Black Death also features target-less combat an open world, perma death and decent graphical fidelity with it being made in Unreal Engine 4.

In this video I managed to get a code for the early access version of The Black Death, A survival RPG set in the dark middle ages of Europe, a time where the lands are ravaged by plague and resources are low, Players must choose a profession and earn money to survive, When you die in The Black Death you lose all your characters skills and entire inventory, currently this was is way to early in development to be properly judged or recommended but In it's current state I would not recommend buying access to it yet

What is The Black Death?
The Black Death will launch on to Steam’s Early Access program. This means the game is still in active development and is liable to change. The Early Access program will not only allow the player enjoy the fantastic gameplay experience that is The Black Death, but will also allow the player to make a real difference to how the game progresses.
The Game:
Medieval Europe is an unforgiving place at the best of times. Danger and disease are ever present and survival is always a challenge. But now, Europe is witnessing one of it's darkest times - a plague has swept across the continent, leaving a trail of death and despair in its wake. Now people have to fight for scarce resources - the smartest, the opportunistic and the powerful have the best chances of survival. The poorest, the weakest and the most vulnerable face almost certain death.
The Black Death is a multiplayer survival game that allows you to choose your own path in this dark, medieval land, complete with a diverse population of villagers, wildlife, and plague victims. Create your own story from a range of different play styles - become a blacksmith; defend the weak as a knight; or earn your living as a merchant. The wealthier, the richer, the stronger you become, the better your chance of survival.
Key Early Access Features:
Survive. It’s not just the plague you need to watch out for. Hunt, harvest or steal supplies to avoid meeting your end in this harsh medieval world.
Live. Pick from range of professions to suit your play style. Fight as a Militia or farm as a Peasant – its your choice.
Fight. Choose your battles wisely. Time your swings and parries, then strike your foes with a unique combat system.
Explore. Inspired by the landscape of Western Europe, Plague features a 8km2 world with a day / night cycle, animals and a range of characters to interact with.

A giant, swollen snake was captured and killed in Nigeria because it was suspected of eating a calf and killing livestock around the area. The snake was almost 1 foot wide and around 10 feet long. The snake in question was most likely an African rock python, the continent’s largest snake. As soon as the locals sliced open the serpent, they were shocked by what they found....
