Panasonic has introduced a new Full-HD camera ahead of the wedding season in the country. Model HC-PV100 is particularly designed for the wedding photography market. Even though the company is promoting it as a wedding camcorder, the palm-type hand held camera is perfect for the video capture of any type of party, conference or event. The global unveiling of the camera was done by the Head of Imagining Business Group of Panasonic, Mr. Yosuke Yamane.
HV-PV100 boasts a 1/3.1-inch BSI MOS sensor with a F1.8-F3.6 aperture. The camera features a 3.0-inch LCD (460K) and a 5-Axis Hybrid O.I.S with a level shot function.
The camera is especially suited for use during night time events. It has an in-built LED light that shines a bright 300 lx at three feet. The camera is also equipped with a colour conversion filter and a diffusion filter, which aid in getting rich coloured pictures.
The camera features a 20x optical zoom and is also equipped with a dual SD card slot that allows the photographer to switch cards while shooting. The 2 channel XLR audio input terminal makes for high-quality sound to be recorded.
“Indian weddings represent the colourful culture of India and deserve to be captured in the most beautiful way. Hence, there was no better place to globally launch our new wedding camera,” said Yamane during the launch.
