A.G. Harris and California Air Resources Board Chair Nichols announced a settlement w/ Volkswagen over software bypassing emissions controls in 2.0L diesel vehicles, including $10 billion consumer relief and $1.18 billion for CA environmental projects.

Attorney General Harris urges the U.S. Department of Education to revoke federal cognition of the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools’ (ACICS).

Under AB 953, the Racial and Identity Profiling Act of 2015, Attorney General Harris announced the first meeting of the Advisory Board, to be held in Los Angeles on July 8, 2016. The Board will focus on eliminating racial and identity profiling in law enforcement.
