Dan Henry (1913-2012) is the inventor of directional pavement markings commonly used to guide participants along the route of organized bicycling events. The markers themselves are usually called "Dan Henry Arrows".
Originally, the markings consisted of a circle with a vertical line from the edge of the circle pointing in the direction of travel (straight ahead, left turn, right turn). Other common markings are a circle X to denote wrong way, and a circled horizontal line to denote caution.
Variations on the circle pattern developed to differentiate between different rides as more and more rides began to use the same roads. Variations include color, triangles, squares, letters, etc.
Other cycling related inventions by Henry include front and rear suspension systems and the 'sling' saddle.
Henry worked as a commercial pilot, starting in the 1920s, later on DC-2 and DC-3 aircraft and the Boeing 707 jetliner .
The League of American Wheelmen awarded Henry its Paul Dudley White Medal in 1992 and a bike route in the Santa Ynez Valley has been named for him.

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3-Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M.
M3 models have been derived from the E30, E36, E46, E90/E92/E93, and F80 3-series, and sold with coupe, saloon and convertible body styles. Upgrades over the "standard" 3-Series automobiles include more powerful and responsive engines, improved handling/suspension/braking systems, aerodynamic body enhancements, lightweight components, and interior/exterior accents with the tri-colour "M" (Motorsport) emblem.
The last M3 coupe was produced in Germany on 5 July 2013, replaced by the F82/F83 M4 Coupe and convertible starting with the 2015 model year, but the M3 name will remain in use for the saloon version.
The BMW M3 remains the only car ever to have earned more titles than the venerable Porsche 911 in Motorsport, and also is the most successful touring, and grand touring car ever to have participated in racing.
Based on the 1986 model year E30 3-Series, the E30 M3 used the BMW S14 engine.

Here's one rare OPM(Original Pilipino Music) that dominated the FM airwaves of the Philippines back in the early 80s. Been looking for this song which I remember was heavily played at dept.stores like Isetann, Shoemart, Cinderella, etc. The artist 'Dan Henry', credited for this hit song is actually a Filipino act(never knew that), the duo DANEE SAMONTE & HENRY TORIBIO. The song's reference to Philippine Airlines somehow made it an unofficial jingle for PAL back in the day. "20 minutes before take-off" could be a fitting tribute to all Filipino OFWs(Overseas Filipino Workers), separated from their families in their struggle to survive an economy plundered by so much politics & corruption. Still hoping our economy will take-off someday.

This is a review of a vintage dive watch which I believe may be the best value super-compressor on the market at the moment. With a Seiko NH-35 and a beautifully finished stainless steel case, this watch offers brilliant value in a very original yet classic timepiece. Dan Henry, the man behind www.timeline.watch has burst onto the vintage styled timepiece scene since launching 4 models from his self-named brand. The 1963 called out most to me, thanks to it being a stunning homage to the Carrera ref. 2447. It's excellent value for money at a staggering $230 / £180.

"The Walkers" is the second installation in a series of responsive light window installations by Ivan Toth Depeña, in collaboration with Reed Krakoff. The Madison Avenue window uses a camera tracking mechanism to affect the lighting. The pedestrians change the intensity of the vertical light composition with movment. The viewer's physical presence activates the lights by turning them on and off. The public subtly changes the windows ambient light as they walk by.
