Complete Works of William Shakespeare is the standard name given to any volume containing all the plays and poems of William Shakespeare. Some editions include several works which were not completely of Shakespeare's authorship (collaborative writings), such as The Two Noble Kinsmen, a collaboration with John Fletcher, Pericles, Prince of Tyre or Edward III.
Because of the vastness of the Complete Works, it is rare for anyone to tackle them in their entirety in a short period. However, in 2006–2007, the Royal Shakespeare Company performed the Complete Works in a single season, "the most ambitious project in its history". In 1987 Adrian Hilton acquired a Guinness World Record for reciting the Complete Works non-stop, enduring 5 days without sleep.
The various editions of the Complete Works include a number of university press releases, as well as versions released from larger publishing companies. The Complete Works (especially in older editions) are often sought after by book collectors, and a number of binderies and publishing houses have produced leather bound and gilded releases for luxury book collecting.
The Complete Works is a collection of all the works of one artist, writer, musician, group, etc. Sometimes the Latin language equivalent, Opera Omnia, is used. For example, Complete Works of Shakespeare is an edition containing all the plays and poems of William Shakespeare.
Sometimes the complete works may be titled by a single word, "Works".
A "Complete Works" edition usually is accompanied with notes, introduction, biographical sketch, and other additional information.
A contrasting term is "selected works", which is a collection of works selected according to some criterion, e.g., by prominence, by being a representative selection, etc.

Complete Works is a half-hour comedy series set in the world of a collegiate Shakespeare competition. Hal, a naive Midwesterner attending community college, has been obsessed with Shakespeare since his Henry the Fourth birthday party. Winning the American Shakespeare Competition could pull him out of his boring life and give him the performing career he's always dreamed of. The only problem: he's never done an arts competition before. As he deals with the crazy challenges and the challenging crazies, Hal discovers that the road to victory is often paved with douchebag-ery.
Historical editions form part of a category of printed music, which generally consists of classical music and opera from a past repertory, where the term can apply to several different types of published music. However, it is principally applied to one of three types of music of this sort:
He said history repeats in perpetuity
first as a tragedy, then as a farce
the white trash kids say they like it how it is
construction jobs bring them lots of cash and early marriages
the catholic kid says he's keeping it the same and the mistakes of his parents he'll carry to his grave
and the Christian kids say it's how it's always been where the battles lines are clearly drawn between piety and sin he said lovers of prostitutes are happy, fit, and satisfied
