Byron Haskin
Byron Conrad Haskin (April 22, 1899 – April 16, 1984) was an American film and television director. He was born in Portland, Oregon.
Career
He is remembered today for directing The War of the Worlds (1953), one of many films where he teamed with producer George Pal. In his early career, he was a special effects artist, with a number of credits on Warner Bros. films, eventually becoming the head of the studio's special effects department. During his tenure there he earned three Oscar nominations for his effects work, and was even recognized with a Scientific and Technical Award citation for developing a rear-projection system useful in effects photography. In the late 1940s he turned to directing, helming Treasure Island (1950), one of Walt Disney's earliest live-action features. Following The War of the Worlds, he continued his collaboration with George Pal, with The Naked Jungle (1954), Conquest of Space (1955), and The Power (1968). His other significant film is the science fiction adventure Robinson Crusoe on Mars, released in 1964. Haskin also worked as a cinematographer and producer.

Plot: This biography of Dorothy Dandridge follows her career through early days on the club circuit with her sister to her turn in movies, including becoming the first black actress to win a Best Actress Nomination in 1954 for "Carmen Jones", to her final demise to prescription drugs, which was debated whether it was suicide or accidental. Brent Spiner plays her faithful manager who stood beside her through all of the roller coaster of her career. The film also examines her love affair with director Otto Preminger, which is shown to have probably initially helped her career, but later probably led her to some wrong decisions. The film also examines 50's racism as the black star is not permitted to use white bathrooms or the Vegas pool. In the first situation, she was given a bathroom cup to pee in. In the second situation, the hotel drained the pool and scrubbed it after she dared put her foot in the water.

Robinson Crusoe es una de las obras más famosas del célebre escritor inglés Daniel Defoe, publicada en 1719 y considerada la primera novela inglesa. Se trata de una autobiografía ficticia del protagonista, un náufrago inglés que pasa 28 años en una remota isla desierta.
Probablemente la historia tuvo como inspiración hechos reales ocurridos a Alexander Selkirk, a partir de donde construiría, con una trama sencilla y auténtica, un símbolo del colonialismo, del hombre perfecto y de la moral suprema.
Robinson Crusoe es la clásica novela de aventuras por antonomasia. Aunque por lo general a esta obra se le conoce simplemente por el nombre del protagonista, el título original, tal como aparece en la portada de su primera edición es:

Bueno,supongo que la historia de este notas,que de
buena familia,decide hacer aventuras y logicamente,
como buen pardillote y electa victima de esta historia,
naufraga en una de sus transaciones monetarias de
continente a continente...total que se queda todo el,
solo en una isla...en plan el lago azul,pero sin la pareja,
sin el lago y sin el azul...pero si un tipo solo,durante,,,
amigos mios,,,,2 horas (hay que tener pelotas,no podemos
negar que solo por este inefable echo tenemos que verla,si
o si,y la verdad,,,joder...vale pues eso que un notas?
si quien no conoce la historia del hombre ante la naturaleza..

Robinson Crusoe es una de las obras más famosas del célebre escritor inglés Daniel Defoe, publicada en 1719 y considerada la primera novela inglesa. Se trata de una autobiografía ficticia del protagonista, un náufrago inglés que pasa 28 años en una remota isla desierta.
Probablemente la historia tuvo como inspiración hechos reales ocurridos a Alexander Selkirk, a partir de donde construiría, con una trama sencilla y auténtica, un símbolo del colonialismo, del hombre perfecto y de la moral suprema.
Robinson Crusoe es la clásica novela de aventuras por antonomasia. Aunque por lo general a esta obra se le conoce simplemente por el nombre del protagonista, el título original, tal como aparece en la portada de su primera edición es:
La vida e increíbles aventuras de Robinson Crusoe, de York, marinero, quien vivió veintiocho años completamente solo en una isla deshabitada en las costas de América, cerca de la desembocadura del gran río Orinoco; habiendo sido arrastrado a la orilla tras un naufragio, en el cual todos los hombres murieron menos él. cansina pero efectiva y buena narrativa visual,que fue lo que
mas me gusto,sobre todo cuando encuentra el barco...esos
minutos de metraje valen su puto peso en jodido oro....
esa sensacion despues de soledad encontrarse en el interior
de la bestia...a mi por lo menos me dijo...Angel....
