Description :

Bob Dylan
Bob Dylan (/ˈdɪlən/; born Robert Allen Zimmerman, May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter, artist and writer. He has been influential in popular music and culture for more than five decades. Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s when his songs chronicled social unrest, although Dylan repudiated suggestions from journalists that he was a spokesman for his generation. Nevertheless, early songs such as "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changin'" became anthems for the American civil rights and anti-war movements. After he left his initial base in the American folk music revival, his six-minute single "Like a Rolling Stone" altered the range of popular music in 1965. His mid-1960s recordings, backed by rock musicians, reached the top end of the United States music charts while also attracting denunciation and criticism from others in the folk movement.
Dylan's lyrics have incorporated various political, social, philosophical, and literary influences. They defied existing pop music conventions and appealed to the burgeoning counterculture. Initially inspired by the performances of Little Richard, and the songwriting of Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, and Hank Williams, Dylan has amplified and personalized musical genres. His recording career, spanning 50 years, has explored the traditions in American song—from folk, blues, and country to gospel, rock and roll, and rockabilly to English, Scottish, and Irish folk music, embracing even jazz and the Great American Songbook. Dylan performs with guitar, keyboards, and harmonica. Backed by a changing line-up of musicians, he has toured steadily since the late 1980s on what has been dubbed the Never Ending Tour. His accomplishments as a recording artist and performer have been central to his career, but songwriting is considered his greatest contribution.

Stephen Colbert
Stephen Tyrone Colbert (/koʊlˈbɛər/, né: /ˈkoʊlbərt/; born May 13, 1964) is an American comedian, writer, producer, actor, media critic, and television host. He currently hosts the late-night television talk show The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS.
Colbert had originally studied to be an actor, but became interested in improvisational theatre when he met Second City director Del Close while attending Northwestern University. He first performed professionally as an understudy for Steve Carell at Second City Chicago; among his troupe mates were comedians Paul Dinello and Amy Sedaris, with whom he developed the sketch comedy series Exit 57. Colbert also wrote and performed on the short-lived Dana Carvey Show before collaborating with Sedaris and Dinello again on the cult television series Strangers with Candy. He gained considerable attention for his role on the latter as closeted gay history teacher Chuck Noblet. His work as a correspondent on Comedy Central's news-parody series The Daily Show first introduced him to a wide audience.

Although this moment was left off the DVD, the performance itself was included, featuring footage focusing solely on Keith Richards.

Hello everyone. Today I upload a new concert after being absent for a while. This time, we're jumping in 1978 and what was one of Dylan's darkest period and one of his most controversial tour. A lot of people thought the 1978 World Tour or "Alimony Tour" was bad, due to the Live at Budokan double LP. In fact, it was one of the most exciting, especially in Europe in Summer and the US in Autumn. This tape is from the Pavillon de Paris concert in July. You can find it on the bootleg "Border Beneath the Sun". It was the fourth night from a series of six concerts in Paris. Bob is on fire and you can hear the power of the big band. He's rocking with all he can and the Street-Legal songs are amazing.The sound is excellent. This is a must have for any fan of Bob Dylan during that time. I in... -

Hello everyone.
Today I upload a new concert after being absent for a while. This time, we're jumping in 1978 and what was one of Dylan's darkest period and one of his most controversial tour. A lot of people thought the 1978 World Tour or "Alimony Tour" was bad, due to the Live at Budokan double LP. In fact, it was one of the most exciting, especially in Europe in Summer and the US in Autumn.
This tape is from the Pavillon de Paris concert in July. You can find it on the bootleg "Border Beneath the Sun". It was the fourth night from a series of six concerts in Paris. Bob is on fire and you can hear the power of the big band. He's rocking with all he can and the Street-Legal songs are amazing.The sound is excellent. This is a must have for any fan of Bob Dylan during that time.
I included as many photos, promos and ticket stubs as I could find, mostly from the european leg and the Paris concerts. You can find them on http://dylanstubs.com/hello.htm , they are great.

Today I upload a new concert after being absent for a while. This time, we're jumping in 1978 and what was one of Dylan's darkest period and one of his most controversial tour. Odd this happens twice. Recently I had to jump numbers in the Masters
Series here I am doing it with Elite also. Don't worry the missing numbers are allocated and ready to go. But this cannot wait.
Call it a Christmas present to you, and me. I have many people I could
thank but most like to remain silent. I must say thanks to "vodkadog"
though without whose help you'd not be getting this.
Seen it before? sure, but NEVER as good as this.
A brief explanation, this pro film circulated at the end of the nineties but due to transfer issues it was several generations poorer
than this copy. "Vodkadog" was able to locate the original recordings and get them to me, but time had taken its toll and the sound was damaged. I located a master copy of the audio and have now married the two together digitally. The result is stunning.
This has always been an exhilarating performance to watch, but none of
you have ever seen it in all its magnificense, well now you can.
I have seen a lot of Dylan videos over the years. This is easily in the top 5 most impressive I have ever seen, Its a Must have, you miss
this then your either daft or dead ! GET IT !!!

“I‘m never going to become rich and famous” - Bob Dylan in 1962. Dylan was just 20 years old when he appeared on the Folksingers Choice radio program on WBAI FM in New York City. He'd arrived in Manhattan just a few years earlier and was playing in the coffee houses of Greenwich Village, at one in particular he was paid "a dollar plus a cheeseburger." During this hour-long interview with Cynthia Gooding, Dylan played some of his own songs ("The Death of Emmett Till", "Standing on the Highway") and covers of classics by Howlin' Wolf, Hank Williams, and Woody Guthrie. We scored this Blank on Blank with Dylan tuning up his guitar and playing his harmonica. This came on TV around 2007 and I began to record after I sensed things were getting a bit tense. But of course just as it was getting interesting I ran out of space on my recorder. Typical. I must admit at times I cringed as I watched this. The interviewer seemed a bit out of his depth. -

Just found this bit of an interview of Bob Dylan being interviewed in the 60's.I didn't even realize I still had it. This came on TV around 2007 and I began to record after I sensed things were getting a bit tense. But of course just as it was getting interesting I ran out of space on my recorder. Typical. I must admit at times I cringed as I watched this. The interviewer seemed a bit out of his depth.

THE JACK BENNY PROGRAM George Burns and Gracie Allen (4th Season )
It's ten minutes before airtime and Gracie Allen is nowhere to be found. George Burns talks Jack into dressing in drag and passing himself off as Gracie. Makeup man Frank Nelson quickly works on Jack and Don Wilson contributes one of his girdles. The Sportsmen also crowd into the dressing room to do the Lucky commercial to the tune of "Black Ball Ferry Line". A fetching Jack performs with George in one of their standard stand-up routines. Easily-confused Gracie finally arrives, doesn't realize George's partner was Jack, and thinks her husband's been fooling around with another woman--namely Tallulah Bankhead. At least 80 people were killed and another 231 wounded in the Afghan capital on Saturday, when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives-packed clothing among a large crowd of demonstrators, officials and witnesses said.
