This collection of solo flute pieces from Navajo-Ute musician R. Carlos Nakai is an evocative delight. The album consists of mostly original material, from the composition "Canyon Reverie," to the improvisational "In Media Res," to "Athabascan Song," an arrangement of a traditional song. The latter in particular stands out, with a faster rhythm and more lilting melody than most of the other pieces. There's also "Ancient Dreams," performed on a bone whistle; the instrument almost exceeds the upper range of human hearing, and Nakai occasionally sounds like he's imitating birdcalls. A classically trained musician, Nakai blends musical traditions to create a whole that reminds one, on occasion, of Japanese shakuhachi music.

Ray Carlos Nakai (a.k.a. R Carlos Nakai ) was born in Flagstaff Arizona on April 16, 1946 and now resides in Tucson, Arizona. He is a Native American of Navajo-Ute heritage who began his musical career as a freshman at Northern Arizona University studying brass instruments and playing in the NAU marching band. In his sophomore year he enlisted in the US Navy with the hope of eventually playing in the Armed Forces Band. He passed the highly competitive auditions for the Armed Forces School of Music and was 28th on the waiting list for admission. Playing with the Armed Forces Band became impossible, however, because an auto accident damaged his mouth making it impossible to produce the correct embouchure to continue playing brass instruments. Shortly after this accident, he was presented with a gift of a traditional Native American cedar flute and challenged to master it.
Nakai says that most of his inspiration comes from the expressions of native communities and his desire to preserve his own Native American heritage. In addition, he likes to blend his native music with that of other cultures thereby helping to preserve their heritage as well. To that end, he has collaborated with a Japanese folk ensemble, the Philadelphia Orchestra's Israeli cellist Udi Bar-David, and many others. He has worked with American composer Philip Glass Tibetan flutist Nawang Khechog and flutist Paul Horn. A 2005 collaboration with slack key guitar master Keola Beamer fused two very different indigenous American cultural forms and resulted in the album "our Beloved Land." He has expressed his philosophy and views of Native American culture in the modern world in an interview with Native Digest.
The Library of Congress has more than 30 of his recordings preserved in the American Folklife Center.
His "Earth Spirit" and "Canyon Trilogy" albums are the only Native American albums to be certified Gold by the RIAA.
Nakai developed a system of tablature notation ( commonly known as Nakai Tablature ) that could be used across a wide variety of flute keys and tunings. He published this in The Art of the Native American Flute (1996) with James Demars, Ken Light and David P. McAllester. This provided resources and support for other musicians playing the Native American flute.
In 2005 he was inducted into the Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame. He was awarded the Arizona Governor's Arts Award in 1992. He received an honorary doctorate from Northern Arizona University in 1994 and the NAUAA Dwight Patterson (1934) Alumnus of the Year Award in 2001. Nakai earned a Master's Degree in American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona.
The Mining Foundation of the Southwest is pleased to recognize David E Nicholas as a 2014 recipient of the Medal of Merit for induction into the American Mining Hall of Fame.
David E. Nicholas, past president and co-founder of Call & Nicholas, Inc., had no knowledge of mining or geological engineering until his University of Arizona dorm mate introduced Nicholas to his father, William C. Peters, head of UA’s Mining and Geological Engineering department. Inspired, Nicholas changed his major from astronomy to geological engineering. He found his vocation.
After two summer jobs with Hanna Mining and earning a B.S. in Geological Engineering in 1970, Nicholas signed on full-time exploring in Montana and Idaho for copper deposits. A transfer to Hanna’s Pilot Knob underground iron mine in Missouri allowed Nicholas to focus on his major area of interest--underground rock mechanics. In 1972 Nicholas returned to UA for a Master’s Degree in Rock Mechanics, studying under Dr. John Abel and Dr. Richard Call.
Under Call, Nicholas studied pit slope stability; under Abel, he studied underground rock mechanics receiving an M.S. degree in 1976 for his work at the Oracle Ridge underground mine. For inclusion in CANMET’s 1977 pit slope manual, Call subcontracted Nicholas to develop a program to model the distribution of potential step paths.
After receiving his M.S., Nicholas worked for the consulting firm Pincock, Allen, and Holt, with Call and worked on slope design and underground mining projects worldwide in North America, Chile, Sweden, Botswana, Liberia, and China.
In 1979, Nicholas and Call formed a business partnership as independent consultants and, in 1980, established Call & Nicholas, Inc. (CNI). Call and Nicholas grew the company and created a culture of collaboration and team effort. Through his work at CNI, Nicholas has been instrumental in many large underground and open pit mine projects, including the Grasberg open pit mine and block cave mines at P.T. Freeport Indonesia. In 1982, Nicholas received the Robert Peele Memorial Award for his paper, Method Selection, A Numerical Approach.
With Nicholas’s guidance, CNI has evolved into a world renowned consulting firm and currently has over fifty employees at its consulting, slope monitoring instrumentation, and laboratory testing operation in Tucson, Arizona. Today, Nicholas consults for long-time clients and enjoys mentoring young engineers and geologists.

8 habitudes inconfortables et payantes pour la vie
Le secret des grandes réussites : ils ont un point commun, ils ont su maintenir leur faim depuis leur enfance. Ils ont toujours su rester engagés. Ils sont très souvent critiqués. Contrairement aux apparences leur vie n'est pas toujours facile et il ne faut pas avoir envie d'être aimé par tout le monde. Ils rencontrent des difficultés tous les jours.
Par rapport à de nombreuses personnes dans le monde vous êtes riche. Mais pour autant considérez-vous que votre vie est facile tous les jours ? Que vous n'avez pas d'efforts à faire ? Pour ceux qui ont brillamment réussi c'est exactement la même chose.
Si tu ne mets pas en place les 8 habitudes suivantes, tu vas perdre ce que tu as déjà. Les grands leaders ont tous ces qualités:
1- ils ont su maintenir cette faim, cette gniac qu'ils avaient au début.
2-Tous ont su maintenir leurs actions sur la durée. Je prends une claque ? je continue. Je fais un marathon, j'ai mal, je suis essoufflé ? je continue. C'est ça le vrai secret, une immense dose de résilience alors que les résultats tardent à venir. Si je cède à la facilité et si je cède à la douleur et si je prends des décisions en fonction de la facilité j'arrête ma course. Tous les grands leaders ont su encaisser la pression, l'échec.
Ils savent attendre la gratification et refuser le plaisir immédiat.
Ils ont développé 8 habitudes inconfortables qui se sont révélées payantes ensuite pour le reste de leur vie.
1- Tout questionner. Ne faites pas confiance à ce que je vous dis. Vérifiez dans le passé dans le présent, sur internet avec vos amis. Vérifiez ! Il y a une singularité à tout questionner. Il y a plus de multimillionnaires en Amérique partie de rien qu'en Europe. Est-ce que les européens ont moins confiance en eux ? Quoi de plus inconfortable que de tout questionner ?
2- Levez-vous de bonne heure (de bonheur) . Le sommeil c'est clé alors couchez-vous tôt si vous en avez besoin. Toutes les grandes réussites que j'ai pu accompagner, se lèvent de bonne heure. 5h du matin. La plupart des gens n'arrivent pas à se coucher le soir et se réveillent avec du brouillard dans le cerveau. J'ai besoin de 8 h de sommeil par nuit ? Je me couche à 21h.
3- Parlez à une nouvelle personne chaque jour. C'est terriblement inconfortable mais si vous voulez développer vos affaires ça passe par un être humain. Plus vous aurez l'habitude d'aller vers les gens, moins vous aurez peur. Faites en sorte de savoir vendre. La vente = vie.
4- Regardez chaque centime. Dans chaque entreprise nous gérons au cent près. Les grandes fortunes ne dépensent pas elles investissent. Ne dépensez pas. Ce n'est pas parce que votre entreprise fait un gros chiffre d'affaire qu'il faut changer cela. Je ne suis pas en train de dire qu'il ne faut pas donner, partager. Mais dans les affaires, un cent c'est un cent. Ce n'est pas une attitude de pingre, négative. Évitez les frais inutiles
5- Vérifiez tout ce que vous mangez. Mangez uniquement des aliments vivants, gorgés d'eau, beaucoup de légumes. Concombre, poivrons, choux. Toutes les grandes réussites contrôlent leur nourriture. Maintenez cerveau poumons cœur au niveau d'énergie maximum.
6- Prenez l'habitude de prendre la parole en public. C'est très désagréable pour certains. Faites-le très souvent. Prenez l'habitude de le faire pour que cela devienne simple.
7- Soyez mono-tâche. Prenez une idée, travaillez la et une à la fois et focalisez-vous sur une seule chose à la fois. Ne regardez pas le courriel, ne téléphonez pas, restez concentré. C'est un des pires dangers de l'auto-entrepreneuriat ou de parent isolé. Quand vous êtes avec un client, ou que vous écrivez un email, plus rien d'autre ne doit compter. Quand je parle à mes enfants, je ne fais que cela.
8- Embrassez des défis qui vous dépassent. Si vous écoutez la plupart des gens ils vont vous dire "arrête de rêver en couleur". Si vous avez envie de vivre la vie de la moyenne des gens vous aurez les mêmes résultats avec les mêmes habitudes. Ce que je trouve inconvenable c'est de dire je veux plus mais en gardant les mêmes habitudes, avec des habitudes conformes à la masse, à la moyenne. Accomplissez l'impossible. Ce qui me déprime c'est de voir des coachs qui conseillent à leur clients des petits buts,. C'est le parcours qui fera grandir ton client, pas le but. Si il a grandi, s'il a perdu 15 kg au lieu de 25 ce n'est pas ça qui est important c'est qu'il ait progressé et qu'il soit heureux.
Je vous souhaite d'en baver mais de récolter les fruits de votre labeur, de récolter des fruits différents. Tu veux des fruits différents, nourris tes racines différemment mais ne vient pas chercher les raisons de ton échec à l'extérieur de toi. Pas d'excuses.

Deep in the bowels of the Ministry of Defence lies a secretive government department identified only as the "DMOA". Just what the DMOA does has been lost in the annals of time - all that is known is that it's the last line of defence protecting London from total destruction.
Determined to find out more about this strange department, Alexandra, a young ambitious defence analyst, sets off into the rabbit warrens of Whitehall to see the DMOA for herself. Finding two aged public servants in varying stages of senility, Alexandra is convinced that the DMOA is the result of an unfortunate mistake. However, as the conversation progresses it becomes apparent that the old guys may not be as senile as they seem, and more worryingly, they may indeed be London's last line of defence.

Sasuke (TV series)
Sasuke (stylized in Japan as SASUKE) is a Japanese sports entertainment television special in which 100 competitors attempt to complete a four-stage obstacle course. An edited version, named Ninja Warrior, is screened in at least 18 other countries. To date, Sasuke content has been aired in 157 countries.
Shot on location at Midoriyama studio in Yokohama, it airs on TBS between Japanese television drama seasons. Each 3-hour special covers an entire competition; there are normally 100 participants. There have been 31 specials produced, approximately one new special per season (twice per year). The show is produced by TBS and is one of the spin-offs of Muscle Ranking (筋肉番付, Kinniku Banzuke), another sports entertainment competition, which aired on G4 under the name Unbeatable Banzuke. Until the 10th competition, Sasuke was broadcast as a special part of Muscle Ranking, but it became an independent program when Muscle Ranking was discontinued. The first competition was held indoors, marking the only time Sasuke did not take place outside. Competitions generally start in the daytime and continue until completed regardless of weather or darkness. After Monster9's bankruptcy on November 2011, all rights to the show fell completely into the hands of its broadcaster, Tokyo Broadcasting System. Following their acquisition of all rights to Sasuke, TBS renamed the show Sasuke Rising for the 28th, 29th and 30th editions, but have since reverted to the original Sasuke title.

American Ninja Warrior
American Ninja Warrior is a sports entertainment competition spin-off of the Japanese television series Sasuke, in which competitors try to complete a series of obstacle courses of increasing difficulty called "stages". The series began on December 12, 2009, in Los Angeles, with the top 10 competitors moving on to compete at "Mount Midoriyama" in Japan. Beginning with season 4, competitors travel to the Las Vegas strip to compete on a nearly identical "Mount Midoriyama" course.
During season 7, for the first time in American Ninja Warrior history, a competitor achieved "Total Victory". Two competitors completed stage three, and thus, a Man vs. Man face off took place during stage 4 for the title. Both Isaac Caldiero and Geoff Britten completed the final stage, however, Caldiero had a faster time, resulting in the $1,000,000 grand prize and the official title of "First American Ninja Warrior".
American Ninja Warrior has been renewed for an 8th season, which is set to premiere in summer 2016.

Trousers
Trousers (pants in North America) are an item of clothing worn from the waist to the ankles, covering both legs separately (rather than with cloth extending across both legs as in robes, skirts, and dresses).

American Ninja is a 1985 American ninja action film produced by Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus's Cannon Films. Directed by Sam Firstenberg, who specialized in this genre in the 1980s, the film stars Michael Dudikoff in the title role, with Steve James as his side-kick.
Plot
Private Joe Armstrong (Michael Dudikoff) is conscripted into the U.S. Army by a judge, as an alternative to prison. Joe ends up fighting off the Black Star Order of ninjas while stationed in the Philippines. He saves Patricia Hickock (Judie Aronson) — daughter of Colonel William Hickock, Joe's commanding officer — from a kidnapping attempt. Although the rest of Joe's platoon is wiped out by the Black Star ninjas, Joe's popularity with his fellow GIs takes a nosedive, even as he is targeted for revenge by the Black Star Master ninja (Tadashi Yamashita).

He is a Native American of Navajo-Ute heritage who began his musical career as a freshman at Northern Arizona University studying brass instruments and playing in the NAU marching band. In his sophomore year he enlisted in the US Navy with the hope of eventually playing in the Armed Forces Band. He passed the highly competitive auditions for the Armed Forces School of Music and was 28th on the waiting list for admission. Playing with the Armed Forces Band became impossible, however, because an auto accident damaged his mouth making it impossible to produce the correct embouchure to continue playing brass instruments. Shortly after this accident, he was presented with a gift of a traditional Native American cedar flute and challenged to master it. Nakai says that most of his inspiration comes from the expressions of native communities and his desire to preserve his own Native American heritage. In addition, he likes to blend his native music with that of other cultures thereby helping to preserve their heritage as well. To that end, he has collaborated with a Japanese folk ensemble, the Philadelphia Orchestra's Israeli cellist Udi Bar-David, and many others. He has worked with American composer Philip Glass Tibetan flutist Nawang Khechog and flutist Paul Horn. A 2005 collaboration with slack key guitar master Keola Beamer fused two very different indigenous American cultural forms and resulted in the album "our Beloved Land." He has expressed his philosophy and views of Native American culture in the modern world in an interview with Native Digest. The Library of Congress has more than 30 of his recordings preserved in the American Folklife Center. His "Earth Spirit" and "Canyon Trilogy" albums are the only Native American albums to be certified Gold by the RIAA. Nakai developed a system of tablature notation ( commonly known as Nakai Tablature ) that could be used across a wide variety of flute keys and tunings. He published this in The Art of the Native American Flute (1996) with James Demars, Ken Light and David P. McAllester. This provided resources and support for other musicians playing the Native American flute. In 2005 he was inducted into the Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame. He was awarded the Arizona Governor's Arts Award in 1992. He received an honorary doctorate from Northern Arizona University in 1994 and the NAUAA Dwight Patterson (1934) Alumnus of the Year Award in 2001. The Mining Foundation of the Southwest is pleased to recognize David E Nicholas as a 2014 recipient of the Medal of Merit for induction into the American Mining Hall of Fame. David E. Nicholas, past president and co-founder of Call & Nicholas, Inc., had no knowledge of mining or geological engineering until his University of Arizona dorm mate introduced Nicholas to his father, William C. Peters, head of UA’s Mining and Geological Engineering department. Inspired, Nicholas changed his major from astronomy to geological engineering. He found his vocation. After two summer jobs with Hanna Mining and earning a B.S. in Geological Engineering in 1970, Nicholas signed on full-time exploring in Montana and Idaho for copper deposits. A transfer to Hanna’s Pilot Knob underground iron mine in Missouri allowed Nicholas to focus on his major area of interest--underground rock mechanics. After receiving his M.S., Nicholas worked for the consulting firm Pincock, Allen, and Holt, with Call and worked on slope design and underground mining projects worldwide in North America, Chile, Sweden, Botswana, Liberia, and China. In 1979, Nicholas and Call formed a business partnership as independent consultants and, in 1980, established Call & Nicholas, Inc. (CNI). Call and Nicholas grew the company and created a culture of collaboration and team effort. Through his work at CNI, Nicholas has been instrumental in many large underground and open pit mine projects, including the Grasberg open pit mine and block cave mines at P.T. Freeport Indonesia. In 1982, Nicholas received the Robert Peele Memorial Award for his paper, Method Selection, A Numerical Approach. With Nicholas’s guidance, CNI has evolved into a world renowned consulting firm and currently has over fifty employees at its consulting, slope monitoring instrumentation, and laboratory testing operation in Tucson, Arizona. Today, Nicholas consults for long-time clients and enjoys mentoring young engineers and geologists. -

Ils rencontrent des difficultés tous les jours. Par rapport à de nombreuses personnes dans le monde vous êtes riche. Mais pour autant considérez-vous que votre vie est facile tous les jours ? Que vous n'avez pas d'efforts à faire ? Pour ceux qui ont brillamment réussi c'est exactement la même chose. Si tu ne mets pas en place les 8 habitudes suivantes, tu vas perdre ce que tu as déjà. Les grands leaders ont tous ces qualités: 1- ils ont su maintenir cette faim, cette gniac qu'ils avaient au début. 2-Tous ont su maintenir leurs actions sur la durée. Je prends une claque ? je continue. Je fais un marathon, j'ai mal, je suis essoufflé ? je continue. C'est ça le vrai secret, une immense dose de résilience alors que les résultats tardent à venir. Si je cède à la facilité et si je cède à la douleur et si je prends des décisions en fonction de la facilité j'arrête ma course. Tous les grands leaders ont su encaisser la pression, l'échec. Ils savent attendre la gratification et refuser le plaisir immédiat. Ils ont développé 8 habitudes inconfortables qui se sont révélées payantes ensuite pour le reste de leur vie. 1- Tout questionner. Ne faites pas confiance à ce que je vous dis. Vérifiez dans le passé dans le présent, sur internet avec vos amis. Vérifiez ! Il y a une singularité à tout questionner. Il y a plus de multimillionnaires en Amérique partie de rien qu'en Europe. Est-ce que les européens ont moins confiance en eux ? Quoi de plus inconfortable que de tout questionner ? 2- Levez-vous de bonne heure (de bonheur) . Le sommeil c'est clé alors couchez-vous tôt si vous en avez besoin. Toutes les grandes réussites que j'ai pu accompagner, se lèvent de bonne heure. 5h du matin. La plupart des gens n'arrivent pas à se coucher le soir et se réveillent avec du brouillard dans le cerveau. J'ai besoin de 8 h de sommeil par nuit ? Je me couche à 21h. 3- Parlez à une nouvelle personne chaque jour. C'est terriblement inconfortable mais si vous voulez développer vos affaires ça passe par un être humain. Plus vous aurez l'habitude d'aller vers les gens, moins vous aurez peur. Faites en sorte de savoir vendre. La vente = vie. 4- Regardez chaque centime. Dans chaque entreprise nous gérons au cent près. Les grandes fortunes ne dépensent pas elles investissent. Ne dépensez pas. Ce n'est pas parce que votre entreprise fait un gros chiffre d'affaire qu'il faut changer cela. Je ne suis pas en train de dire qu'il ne faut pas donner, partager. Mais dans les affaires, un cent c'est un cent. Ce n'est pas une attitude de pingre, négative. Évitez les frais inutiles 5- Vérifiez tout ce que vous mangez. Mangez uniquement des aliments vivants, gorgés d'eau, beaucoup de légumes. Concombre, poivrons, choux. Toutes les grandes réussites contrôlent leur nourriture. Maintenez cerveau poumons cœur au niveau d'énergie maximum. 6- Prenez l'habitude de prendre la parole en public. C'est très désagréable pour certains. Faites-le très souvent. Prenez l'habitude de le faire pour que cela devienne simple. 7- Soyez mono-tâche. Prenez une idée, travaillez la et une à la fois et focalisez-vous sur une seule chose à la fois. Ne regardez pas le courriel, ne téléphonez pas, restez concentré. C'est un des pires dangers de l'auto-entrepreneuriat ou de parent isolé. Quand vous êtes avec un client, ou que vous écrivez un email, plus rien d'autre ne doit compter. Quand je parle à mes enfants, je ne fais que cela. 8- Embrassez des défis qui vous dépassent. Si vous écoutez la plupart des gens ils vont vous dire "arrête de rêver en couleur". Si vous avez envie de vivre la vie de la moyenne des gens vous aurez les mêmes résultats avec les mêmes habitudes. Ce que je trouve inconvenable c'est de dire je veux plus mais en gardant les mêmes habitudes, avec des habitudes conformes à la masse, à la moyenne. Accomplissez l'impossible. Ce qui me déprime c'est de voir des coachs qui conseillent à leur clients des petits buts,. C'est le parcours qui fera grandir ton client, pas le but. Si il a grandi, s'il a perdu 15 kg au lieu de 25 ce n'est pas ça qui est important c'est qu'il ait progressé et qu'il soit heureux. Je vous souhaite d'en baver mais de récolter les fruits de votre labeur, de récolter des fruits différents. Tu veux des fruits différents, nourris tes racines différemment mais ne vient pas chercher les raisons de ton échec à l'extérieur de toi. Pas d'excuses. -

This collection of solo flute pieces from Navajo-Ute musician R. Carlos Nakai is an evocative delight. The album consists of mostly original material, from the composition "Canyon Reverie," to the improvisational "In Media Res," to "Athabascan Song," an arrangement of a traditional song. The latter in particular stands out, with a faster rhythm and more lilting melody than most of the other pieces. There's also "Ancient Dreams," performed on a bone whistle; the instrument almost exceeds the upper range of human hearing, and Nakai occasionally sounds like he's imitating birdcalls. A classically trained musician, Nakai blends musical traditions to create a whole that reminds one, on occasion, of Japanese shakuhachi music.
This album best captures the timeless serenity of the solo Native American flute. R. Carlos Nakai's music speaks to the spirit with a simplicity that transcends place and time. Includes original compositions, traditional Athabascan and Omaha melodies.

Ray Carlos Nakai (a.k.a. R Carlos Nakai ) was born in Flagstaff Arizona on April 16, 1946 and now resides in Tucson, Arizona. He is a Native American of Navajo-Ute heritage who began his musical career as a freshman at Northern Arizona University studying brass instruments and playing in the NAU marching band. In his sophomore year he enlisted in the US Navy with the hope of eventually playing in the Armed Forces Band. He passed the highly competitive auditions for the Armed Forces School of Music and was 28th on the waiting list for admission. Playing with the Armed Forces Band became impossible, however, because an auto accident damaged his mouth making it impossible to produce the correct embouchure to continue playing brass instruments. Shortly after this accident, he was presented with a gift of a traditional Native American cedar flute and challenged to master it.
Nakai says that most of his inspiration comes from the expressions of native communities and his desire to preserve his own Native American heritage. In addition, he likes to blend his native music with that of other cultures thereby helping to preserve their heritage as well. To that end, he has collaborated with a Japanese folk ensemble, the Philadelphia Orchestra's Israeli cellist Udi Bar-David, and many others. He has worked with American composer Philip Glass Tibetan flutist Nawang Khechog and flutist Paul Horn. A 2005 collaboration with slack key guitar master Keola Beamer fused two very different indigenous American cultural forms and resulted in the album "our Beloved Land." He has expressed his philosophy and views of Native American culture in the modern world in an interview with Native Digest.
The Library of Congress has more than 30 of his recordings preserved in the American Folklife Center.
His "Earth Spirit" and "Canyon Trilogy" albums are the only Native American albums to be certified Gold by the RIAA.
Nakai developed a system of tablature notation ( commonly known as Nakai Tablature ) that could be used across a wide variety of flute keys and tunings. He published this in The Art of the Native American Flute (1996) with James Demars, Ken Light and David P. McAllester. The Mining Foundation of the Southwest is pleased to recognize David E Nicholas as a 2014 recipient of the Medal of Merit for induction into the American Mining Hall of Fame.
David E. Nicholas, past president and co-founder of Call & Nicholas, Inc., had no knowledge of mining or geological engineering until his University of Arizona dorm mate introduced Nicholas to his father, William C. Peters, head of UA’s Mining and Geological Engineering department. Inspired, Nicholas changed his major from astronomy to geological engineering. He found his vocation.
After two summer jobs with Hanna Mining and earning a B.S. in Geological Engineering in 1970, Nicholas signed on full-time exploring in Montana and Idaho for copper deposits. A transfer to Hanna’s Pilot Knob underground iron mine in Missouri allowed Nicholas to focus on his major area of interest--underground rock mechanics. In 1972 Nicholas returned to UA for a Master’s Degree in Rock Mechanics, studying under Dr. John Abel and Dr. Richard Call.
Under Call, Nicholas studied pit slope stability; under Abel, he studied underground rock mechanics receiving an M.S. degree in 1976 for his work at the Oracle Ridge underground mine. For inclusion in CANMET’s 1977 pit slope manual, Call subcontracted Nicholas to develop a program to model the distribution of potential step paths.
After receiving his M.S., Nicholas worked for the consulting firm Pincock, Allen, and Holt, with Call and worked on slope design and underground mining projects worldwide in North America, Chile, Sweden, Botswana, Liberia, and China.
In 1979, Nicholas and Call formed a business partnership as independent consultants and, in 1980, established Call & Nicholas, Inc. (CNI). Call and Nicholas grew the company and created a culture of collaboration and team effort. Through his work at CNI, Nicholas has been instrumental in many large underground and open pit mine projects, including the Grasberg open pit mine and block cave mines at P.T. Freeport Indonesia. In 1982, Nicholas received the Robert Peele Memorial Award for his paper, Method Selection, A Numerical Approach.
With Nicholas’s guidance, CNI has evolved into a world renowned consulting firm and currently has over fifty employees at its consulting, slope monitoring instrumentation, and laboratory testing operation in Tucson, Arizona. Today, Nicholas consults for long-time clients and enjoys mentoring young engineers and geologists.

Le secret des grandes réussites : ils ont un point commun, ils ont su maintenir leur faim depuis leur enfance. Ils ont toujours su rester engagés. Ils sont très souvent critiqués. Contrairement aux apparences leur vie n'est pas toujours facile et il ne faut pas avoir envie d'être aimé par tout le monde. Ils rencontrent des difficultés tous les jours.
Par rapport à de nombreuses personnes dans le monde vous êtes riche. Mais pour autant considérez-vous que votre vie est facile tous les jours ? Que vous n'avez pas d'efforts à faire ? Pour ceux qui ont brillamment réussi c'est exactement la même chose.
Si tu ne mets pas en place les 8 habitudes suivantes, tu vas perdre ce que tu as déjà. Les grands leaders ont tous ces qualités:
1- ils ont su maintenir cette faim, cette gniac qu'ils avaient au début.
2-Tous ont su maintenir leurs actions sur la durée. Je prends une claque ? je continue. Je fais un marathon, j'ai mal, je suis essoufflé ? je continue. C'est ça le vrai secret, une immense dose de résilience alors que les résultats tardent à venir. Si je cède à la facilité et si je cède à la douleur et si je prends des décisions en fonction de la facilité j'arrête ma course. Tous les grands leaders ont su encaisser la pression, l'échec.
Ils savent attendre la gratification et refuser le plaisir immédiat.
Ils ont développé 8 habitudes inconfortables qui se sont révélées payantes ensuite pour le reste de leur vie.
1- Tout questionner. Ne faites pas confiance à ce que je vous dis. Vérifiez dans le passé dans le présent, sur internet avec vos amis. Vérifiez ! Il y a une singularité à tout questionner. Il y a plus de multimillionnaires en Amérique partie de rien qu'en Europe. Est-ce que les européens ont moins confiance en eux ? Quoi de plus inconfortable que de tout questionner ?
2- Levez-vous de bonne heure (de bonheur) . Le sommeil c'est clé alors couchez-vous tôt si vous en avez besoin. Toutes les grandes réussites que j'ai pu accompagner, se lèvent de bonne heure. 5h du matin. La plupart des gens n'arrivent pas à se coucher le soir et se réveillent avec du brouillard dans le cerveau. J'ai besoin de 8 h de sommeil par nuit ? Je me couche à 21h.
3- Parlez à une nouvelle personne chaque jour. C'est terriblement inconfortable mais si vous voulez développer vos affaires ça passe par un être humain. Plus vous aurez l'habitude d'aller vers les gens, moins vous aurez peur. Faites en sorte de savoir vendre. La vente = vie.
4- Regardez chaque centime. Dans chaque entreprise nous gérons au cent près. Les grandes fortunes ne dépensent pas elles investissent. Ne dépensez pas. Ce n'est pas parce que votre entreprise fait un gros chiffre d'affaire qu'il faut changer cela. Je ne suis pas en train de dire qu'il ne faut pas donner, partager. Mais dans les affaires, un cent c'est un cent. Ce n'est pas une attitude de pingre, négative. Évitez les frais inutiles
5- Vérifiez tout ce que vous mangez. Mangez uniquement des aliments vivants, gorgés d'eau, beaucoup de légumes. Concombre, poivrons, choux. Toutes les grandes réussites contrôlent leur nourriture. Maintenez cerveau poumons cœur au niveau d'énergie maximum.

Le secret des grandes réussites : ils ont un point commun, ils ont su maintenir leur faim depuis leur enfance. Ils ont toujours su rester engagés. Ils sont très souvent critiqués. Contrairement aux apparences leur vie n'est pas toujours facile et il ne faut pas avoir envie d'être aimé par tout le monde. Ils rencontrent des difficultés tous les jours.
Par rapport à de nombreuses personnes dans le monde vous êtes riche. Mais pour autant considérez-vous que votre vie est facile tous les jours ? Que vous n'avez pas d'efforts à faire ? Pour ceux qui ont brillamment réussi c'est exactement la même chose.
Si tu ne mets pas en place les 8 habitudes suivantes, tu vas perdre ce que tu as déjà. Les grands leaders ont tous ces qualités:
1- ils ont su maintenir cette faim, cette gniac qu'ils avaient au début.
2-Tous ont su maintenir leurs actions sur la durée. Je prends une claque ? je continue. Je fais un marathon, j'ai mal, je suis essoufflé ? je continue. C'est ça le vrai secret, une immense dose de résilience alors que les résultats tardent à venir. Si je cède à la facilité et si je cède à la douleur et si je prends des décisions en fonction de la facilité j'arrête ma course. Tous les grands leaders ont su encaisser la pression, l'échec.
Ils savent attendre la gratification et refuser le plaisir immédiat.
Ils ont développé 8 habitudes inconfortables qui se sont révélées payantes ensuite pour le reste de leur vie.
1- Tout questionner. Ne faites pas confiance à ce que je vous dis. Vérifiez dans le passé dans le présent, sur internet avec vos amis. Vérifiez ! Il y a une singularité à tout questionner. Il y a plus de multimillionnaires en Amérique partie de rien qu'en Europe. Est-ce que les européens ont moins confiance en eux ? Quoi de plus inconfortable que de tout questionner ?
2- Levez-vous de bonne heure (de bonheur) . Le sommeil c'est clé alors couchez-vous tôt si vous en avez besoin. Toutes les grandes réussites que j'ai pu accompagner, se lèvent de bonne heure. 5h du matin. La plupart des gens n'arrivent pas à se coucher le soir et se réveillent avec du brouillard dans le cerveau. J'ai besoin de 8 h de sommeil par nuit ? Je me couche à 21h.
3- Parlez à une nouvelle personne chaque jour. C'est terriblement inconfortable mais si vous voulez développer vos affaires ça passe par un être humain. Plus vous aurez l'habitude d'aller vers les gens, moins vous aurez peur. Faites en sorte de savoir vendre. La vente = vie.
4- Regardez chaque centime. Dans chaque entreprise nous gérons au cent près. Les grandes fortunes ne dépensent pas elles investissent. Ne dépensez pas. Ce n'est pas parce que votre entreprise fait un gros chiffre d'affaire qu'il faut changer cela. Je ne suis pas en train de dire qu'il ne faut pas donner, partager. Mais dans les affaires, un cent c'est un cent. Ce n'est pas une attitude de pingre, négative. Évitez les frais inutiles
5- Vérifiez tout ce que vous mangez. Mangez uniquement des aliments vivants, gorgés d'eau, beaucoup de légumes. Concombre, poivrons, choux. Toutes les grandes réussites contrôlent leur nourriture. Maintenez cerveau poumons cœur au niveau d'énergie maximum.

Determined to find out more about this strange department, Alexandra, a young ambitious defence analyst, sets off into the rabbit warrens of Whitehall to see the DMOA for herself. Finding two aged public servants in varying stages of senility, Alexandra is convinced that the DMOA is the result of an unfortunate mistake. However, as the conversation progresses it becomes apparent that the old guys may not be as senile as they seem, and more worryingly, they may indeed be London's last line of defence.

This collection of solo flute pieces from Navajo-Ute musician R. Carlos Nakai is an evocative delight. The album consists of mostly original material, from the composition "Canyon Reverie," to the improvisational "In Media Res," to "Athabascan Song," an arrangement of a traditional song. Ray Carlos Nakai (a.k.a. R Carlos Nakai ) was born in Flagstaff Arizona on April 16, 1946 and now resides in Tucson, Arizona. He is a Native American of Navajo-Ute heritage who began his musical career as a freshman at Northern Arizona University studying brass instruments and playing in the NAU marching band. In his sophomore year he enlisted in the US Navy with the hope of eventually playing in the Armed Forces Band. He passed the highly competitive auditions for the Armed Forces School of Music and was 28th on the waiting list for admission. Playing with the Armed Forces Band became impossible, however, because an auto accident damaged his mouth making it impossible to produce the correct embouchure to continue playing brass instruments. Shortly after this accident, he was presented with a gift of a traditional Native American cedar flute and challenged to master it.
Nakai says that most of his inspiration comes from the expressions of native communities and his desire to preserve his own Native American heritage. In addition, he likes to blend his native music with that of other cultures thereby helping to preserve their heritage as well. To that end, he has collaborated with a Japanese folk ensemble, the Philadelphia Orchestra's Israeli cellist Udi Bar-David, and many others. He has worked with American composer Philip Glass Tibetan flutist Nawang Khechog and flutist Paul Horn. A 2005 collaboration with slack key guitar master Keola Beamer fused two very different indigenous American cultural forms and resulted in the album "our Beloved Land." He has expressed his philosophy and views of Native American culture in the modern world in an interview with Native Digest.
The Library of Congress has more than 30 of his recordings preserved in the American Folklife Center.
His "Earth Spirit" and "Canyon Trilogy" albums are the only Native American albums to be certified Gold by the RIAA.
Nakai developed a system of tablature notation ( commonly known as Nakai Tablature ) that could be used across a wide variety of flute keys and tunings. He published this in The Art of the Native American Flute (1996) with James Demars, Ken Light and David P. McAllester. This provided resources and support for other musicians playing the Native American flute.
In 2005 he was inducted into the Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame. He was awarded the Arizona Governor's Arts Award in 1992. He received an honorary doctorate from Northern Arizona University in 1994 and the NAUAA Dwight Patterson (1934) Alumnus of the Year Award in 2001. Nakai earned a Master's Degree in American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona.

He has expressed his philosophy and views of Native American culture in the modern world in an interview with Native Digest.
The Library of Congress has more than 30 of his recordings preserved in the American Folklife Center.
His "Earth Spirit" and "Canyon Trilogy" albums are the only Native American albums to be certified Gold by the RIAA.
Nakai developed a system of tablature notation ( commonly known as Nakai Tablature ) that could be used across a wide variety of flute keys and tunings. He published this in The Art of the Native American Flute (1996) with James Demars, Ken Light and David P. McAllester. This provided resources and support for other musicians playing the Native American flute.
In 2005 he was inducted into the Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame. He was awarded the Arizona Governor's Arts Award in 1992. He received an honorary doctorate from Northern Arizona University in 1994 and the NAUAA Dwight Patterson (1934) Alumnus of the Year Award in 2001. Nakai earned a Master's Degree in American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona.

The Mining Foundation of the Southwest is pleased to recognize David E Nicholas as a 2014 recipient of the Medal of Merit for induction into the American Mining Hall of Fame.
David E. Nicholas, past president and co-founder of Call & Nicholas, Inc., had no knowledge of mining or geological engineering until his University of Arizona dorm mate introduced Nicholas to his father, William C. Peters, head of UA’s Mining and Geological Engineering department. Inspired, Nicholas changed his major from astronomy to geological engineering. He found his vocation.
After two summer jobs with Hanna Mining and earning a B.S. in Geological Engineering in 1970, Nicholas signed on full-time exploring in Montana and Idaho for copper deposits. A transfer to Hanna’s Pilot Knob underground iron mine in Missouri allowed Nicholas to focus on his major area of interest--underground rock mechanics. In 1972 Nicholas returned to UA for a Master’s Degree in Rock Mechanics, studying under Dr. John Abel and Dr. Richard Call.

Call and Nicholas grew the company and created a culture of collaboration and team effort. Through his work at CNI, Nicholas has been instrumental in many large underground and open pit mine projects, including the Grasberg open pit mine and block cave mines at P.T. Freeport Indonesia. Le secret des grandes réussites : ils ont un point commun, ils ont su maintenir leur faim depuis leur enfance. Ils ont toujours su rester engagés. Ils sont très souvent critiqués. Contrairement aux apparences leur vie n'est pas toujours facile et il ne faut pas avoir envie d'être aimé par tout le monde. Ils rencontrent des difficultés tous les jours.
Par rapport à de nombreuses personnes dans le monde vous êtes riche. Mais pour autant considérez-vous que votre vie est facile tous les jours ? Que vous n'avez pas d'efforts à faire ? Pour ceux qui ont brillamment réussi c'est exactement la même chose.
Si tu ne mets pas en place les 8 habitudes suivantes, tu vas perdre ce que tu as déjà. Les grands leaders ont tous ces qualités:
1- ils ont su maintenir cette faim, cette gniac qu'ils avaient au début.
2-Tous ont su maintenir leurs actions sur la durée. Je prends une claque ? je continue. Je fais un marathon, j'ai mal, je suis essoufflé ? je continue. C'est ça le vrai secret, une immense dose de résilience alors que les résultats tardent à venir. Si je cède à la facilité et si je cède à la douleur et si je prends des décisions en fonction de la facilité j'arrête ma course. Tous les grands leaders ont su encaisser la pression, l'échec.
Ils savent attendre la gratification et refuser le plaisir immédiat.
Ils ont développé 8 habitudes inconfortables qui se sont révélées payantes ensuite pour le reste de leur vie.
1- Tout questionner. Ne faites pas confiance à ce que je vous dis. Vérifiez dans le passé dans le présent, sur internet avec vos amis. Vérifiez ! Il y a une singularité à tout questionner. Il y a plus de multimillionnaires en Amérique partie de rien qu'en Europe. Est-ce que les européens ont moins confiance en eux ? Quoi de plus inconfortable que de tout questionner ?
2- Levez-vous de bonne heure (de bonheur) . Le sommeil c'est clé alors couchez-vous tôt si vous en avez besoin. Toutes les grandes réussites que j'ai pu accompagner, se lèvent de bonne heure. 5h du matin. La plupart des gens n'arrivent pas à se coucher le soir et se réveillent avec du brouillard dans le cerveau. J'ai besoin de 8 h de sommeil par nuit ? Je me couche à 21h.
3- Parlez à une nouvelle personne chaque jour. C'est terriblement inconfortable mais si vous voulez développer vos affaires ça passe par un être humain. Plus vous aurez l'habitude d'aller vers les gens, moins vous aurez peur. Faites en sorte de savoir vendre. La vente = vie.
4- Regardez chaque centime. Dans chaque entreprise nous gérons au cent près. Les grandes fortunes ne dépensent pas elles investissent. Ne dépensez pas. Ce n'est pas parce que votre entreprise fait un gros chiffre d'affaire qu'il faut changer cela. Je ne suis pas en train de dire qu'il ne faut pas donner, partager. Mais dans les affaires, un cent c'est un cent. Ce n'est pas une attitude de pingre, négative. Évitez les frais inutiles
5- Vérifiez tout ce que vous mangez. Mangez uniquement des aliments vivants, gorgés d'eau, beaucoup de légumes. Concombre, poivrons, choux. Toutes les grandes réussites contrôlent leur nourriture. Maintenez cerveau poumons cœur au niveau d'énergie maximum.
6- Prenez l'habitude de prendre la parole en public. C'est très désagréable pour certains. Faites-le très souvent. Prenez l'habitude de le faire pour que cela devienne simple.
7- Soyez mono-tâche. Prenez une idée, travaillez la et une à la fois et focalisez-vous sur une seule chose à la fois. Ne regardez pas le courriel, ne téléphonez pas, restez concentré. C'est un des pires dangers de l'auto-entrepreneuriat ou de parent isolé. Quand vous êtes avec un client, ou que vous écrivez un email, plus rien d'autre ne doit compter. Quand je parle à mes enfants, je ne fais que cela.
8- Embrassez des défis qui vous dépassent. Si vous écoutez la plupart des gens ils vont vous dire "arrête de rêver en couleur". Si vous avez envie de vivre la vie de la moyenne des gens vous aurez les mêmes résultats avec les mêmes habitudes. Ce que je trouve inconvenable c'est de dire je veux plus mais en gardant les mêmes habitudes, avec des habitudes conformes à la masse, à la moyenne. Accomplissez l'impossible. Ce qui me déprime c'est de voir des coachs qui conseillent à leur clients des petits buts,. C'est le parcours qui fera grandir ton client, pas le but. Si il a grandi, s'il a perdu 15 kg au lieu de 25 ce n'est pas ça qui est important c'est qu'il ait progressé et qu'il soit heureux.
Je vous souhaite d'en baver mais de récolter les fruits de votre labeur, de récolter des fruits différents. Tu veux des fruits différents, nourris tes racines différemment mais ne vient pas chercher les raisons de ton échec à l'extérieur de toi. Pas d'excuses.

Deep in the bowels of the Ministry of Defence lies a secretive government department identified only as the "DMOA". Just what the DMOA does has been lost in the annals of time - all that is known is that it's the last line of defence protecting London from total destruction.
Determined to find out more about this strange department, Alexandra, a young ambitious defence analyst, sets off into the rabbit warrens of Whitehall to see the DMOA for herself. Finding two aged public servants in varying stages of senility, Alexandra is convinced that the DMOA is the result of an unfortunate mistake. However, as the conversation progresses it becomes apparent that the old guys may not be as senile as they seem, and more worryingly, they may indeed be London's last line of defence.

The album consists of mostly original material, from the composition "Canyon Reverie," to the improvisational "In Media Res," to "Athabascan Song," an arrangement of a traditional song. The latter in particular stands out, with a faster rhythm and more lilting melody than most of the other pieces. There's also "Ancient Dreams," performed on a bone whistle; the instrument almost exceeds the upper range of human hearing, and Nakai occasionally sounds like he's imitating birdcalls. A classically trained musician, Nakai blends musical traditions to create a whole that reminds one, on occasion, of Japanese shakuhachi music.

Ray Carlos Nakai (a.k.a. R Carlos Nakai ) was born in Flagstaff Arizona on April 16, 1946 and now resides in Tucson, Arizona. He is a Native American of Navajo-Ute heritage who began his musical career as a freshman at Northern Arizona University studying brass instruments and playing in the NAU marching band. In his sophomore year he enlisted in the US Navy with the hope of eventually playing in the Armed Forces Band. He passed the highly competitive auditions for the Armed Forces School of Music and was 28th on the waiting list for admission. Playing with the Armed Forces Band became impossible, however, because an auto accident damaged his mouth making it impossible to produce the correct embouchure to continue playing brass instruments. Shortly after this accident, he was presented with a gift of a traditional Native American cedar flute and challenged to master it.
Nakai says that most of his inspiration comes from the expressions of native communities and his desire to preserve his own Native American heritage. In addition, he likes to blend his native music with that of other cultures thereby helping to preserve their heritage as well. To that end, he has collaborated with a Japanese folk ensemble, the Philadelphia Orchestra's Israeli cellist Udi Bar-David, and many others. He has worked with American composer Philip Glass Tibetan flutist Nawang Khechog and flutist Paul Horn. A 2005 collaboration with slack key guitar master Keola Beamer fused two very different indigenous American cultural forms and resulted in the album "our Beloved Land." He has expressed his philosophy and views of Native American culture in the modern world in an interview with Native Digest.
The Library of Congress has more than 30 of his recordings preserved in the American Folklife Center.
His "Earth Spirit" and "Canyon Trilogy" albums are the only Native American albums to be certified Gold by the RIAA.
Nakai developed a system of tablature notation ( commonly known as Nakai Tablature ) that could be used across a wide variety of flute keys and tunings. He published this in The Art of the Native American Flute (1996) with James Demars, Ken Light and David P. McAllester. This provided resources and support for other musicians playing the Native American flute.
In 2005 he was inducted into the Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame. He was awarded the Arizona Governor's Arts Award in 1992. He received an honorary doctorate from Northern Arizona University in 1994 and the NAUAA Dwight Patterson (1934) Alumnus of the Year Award in 2001. Nakai earned a Master's Degree in American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona.

Le secret des grandes réussites : ils ont un point commun, ils ont su maintenir leur faim depuis leur enfance. Ils ont toujours su rester engagés. Ils sont très souvent critiqués. Contrairement aux apparences leur vie n'est pas toujours facile et il ne faut pas avoir envie d'être aimé par tout le monde. Ils rencontrent des difficultés tous les jours.
Par rapport à de nombreuses personnes dans le monde vous êtes riche. Mais pour autant considérez-vous que votre vie est facile tous les jours ? Que vous n'avez pas d'efforts à faire ? Pour ceux qui ont brillamment réussi c'est exactement la même chose.
Si tu ne mets pas en place les 8 habitudes suivantes, tu vas perdre ce que tu as déjà. Les grands leaders ont tous ces qualités:
1- ils ont su maintenir cette faim, cette gniac qu'ils avaient au début.
2-Tous ont su maintenir leurs actions sur la durée. Je prends une claque ? je continue. Je fais un marathon, j'ai mal, je suis essoufflé ? je continue. C'est ça le vrai secret, une immense dose de résilience alors que les résultats tardent à venir. Si je cède à la facilité et si je cède à la douleur et si je prends des décisions en fonction de la facilité j'arrête ma course. Tous les grands leaders ont su encaisser la pression, l'échec.
Ils savent attendre la gratification et refuser le plaisir immédiat.
Ils ont développé 8 habitudes inconfortables qui se sont révélées payantes ensuite pour le reste de leur vie.
1- Tout questionner. Ne faites pas confiance à ce que je vous dis. Vérifiez dans le passé dans le présent, sur internet avec vos amis. Vérifiez ! Il y a une singularité à tout questionner. Il y a plus de multimillionnaires en Amérique partie de rien qu'en Europe. Est-ce que les européens ont moins confiance en eux ? Quoi de plus inconfortable que de tout questionner ?
2- Levez-vous de bonne heure (de bonheur) . Le sommeil c'est clé alors couchez-vous tôt si vous en avez besoin. Toutes les grandes réussites que j'ai pu accompagner, se lèvent de bonne heure. 5h du matin. La plupart des gens n'arrivent pas à se coucher le soir et se réveillent avec du brouillard dans le cerveau. J'ai besoin de 8 h de sommeil par nuit ? Je me couche à 21h.
3- Parlez à une nouvelle personne chaque jour. C'est terriblement inconfortable mais si vous voulez développer vos affaires ça passe par un être humain. Plus vous aurez l'habitude d'aller vers les gens, moins vous aurez peur. Faites en sorte de savoir vendre. La vente = vie.
4- Regardez chaque centime. Dans chaque entreprise nous gérons au cent près. Les grandes fortunes ne dépensent pas elles investissent. Ne dépensez pas. Ce n'est pas parce que votre entreprise fait un gros chiffre d'affaire qu'il faut changer cela. Je ne suis pas en train de dire qu'il ne faut pas donner, partager. Mais dans les affaires, un cent c'est un cent. Ce n'est pas une attitude de pingre, négative. Évitez les frais inutiles
5- Vérifiez tout ce que vous mangez. Mangez uniquement des aliments vivants, gorgés d'eau, beaucoup de légumes. Concombre, poivrons, choux. Toutes les grandes réussites contrôlent leur nourriture. Maintenez cerveau poumons cœur au niveau d'énergie maximum.
6- Prenez l'habitude de prendre la parole en public. C'est très désagréable pour certains. Faites-le très souvent. Prenez l'habitude de le faire pour que cela devienne simple.
7- Soyez mono-tâche. Prenez une idée, travaillez la et une à la fois et focalisez-vous sur une seule chose à la fois. Ne regardez pas le courriel, ne téléphonez pas, restez concentré. C'est un des pires dangers de l'auto-entrepreneuriat ou de parent isolé. Quand vous êtes avec un client, ou que vous écrivez un email, plus rien d'autre ne doit compter. Quand je parle à mes enfants, je ne fais que cela.
8- Embrassez des défis qui vous dépassent. Si vous écoutez la plupart des gens ils vont vous dire "arrête de rêver en couleur". Si vous avez envie de vivre la vie de la moyenne des gens vous aurez les mêmes résultats avec les mêmes habitudes. Ce que je trouve inconvenable c'est de dire je veux plus mais en gardant les mêmes habitudes, avec des habitudes conformes à la masse, à la moyenne. Accomplissez l'impossible. Ce qui me déprime c'est de voir des coachs qui conseillent à leur clients des petits buts,. C'est le parcours qui fera grandir ton client, pas le but. Si il a grandi, s'il a perdu 15 kg au lieu de 25 ce n'est pas ça qui est important c'est qu'il ait progressé et qu'il soit heureux.
Je vous souhaite d'en baver mais de récolter les fruits de votre labeur, de récolter des fruits différents. Tu veux des fruits différents, nourris tes racines différemment mais ne vient pas chercher les raisons de ton échec à l'extérieur de toi. Pas d'excuses.

8 habitudes inconfortables et payantes pour la vie
Le secret des grandes réussites : ils ont un point commun, ils ont su maintenir leur faim depuis leur enfance. Ils ont toujours su rester engagés. Ils sont très souvent critiqués. Contrairement aux apparences leur vie n'est pas toujours facile et il ne faut pas avoir envie d'être aimé par tout le monde. Ils rencontrent des difficultés tous les jours.
Par rapport à de nombreuses personnes dans le monde vous êtes riche. Mais pour autant considérez-vous que votre vie est facile tous les jours ? Que vous n'avez pas d'efforts à faire ? Pour ceux qui ont brillamment réussi c'est exactement la même chose.
Si tu ne mets pas en place les 8 habitudes suivantes, tu vas perdre ce que tu as déjà. Les grands leaders ont tous ces qualités:
1- ils ont su maintenir cette faim, cette gniac qu'ils avaient au début.
2-Tous ont su maintenir leurs actions sur la durée. Je prends une claque ? je continue. Je fais un marathon, j'ai mal, je suis essoufflé ? je continue. C'est ça le vrai secret, une immense dose de résilience alors que les résultats tardent à venir. Si je cède à la facilité et si je cède à la douleur et si je prends des décisions en fonction de la facilité j'arrête ma course. Tous les grands leaders ont su encaisser la pression, l'échec.
Ils savent attendre la gratification et refuser le plaisir immédiat.
Ils ont développé 8 habitudes inconfortables qui se sont révélées payantes ensuite pour le reste de leur vie.
1- Tout questionner. Ne faites pas confiance à ce que je vous dis. Vérifiez dans le passé dans le présent, sur internet avec vos amis. Vérifiez ! Il y a une singularité à tout questionner. Il y a plus de multimillionnaires en Amérique partie de rien qu'en Europe. Est-ce que les européens ont moins confiance en eux ? Quoi de plus inconfortable que de tout questionner ?
2- Levez-vous de bonne heure (de bonheur) . Le sommeil c'est clé alors couchez-vous tôt si vous en avez besoin. Toutes les grandes réussites que j'ai pu accompagner, se lèvent de bonne heure. 5h du matin. La plupart des gens n'arrivent pas à se coucher le soir et se réveillent avec du brouillard dans le cerveau. J'ai besoin de 8 h de sommeil par nuit ? Je me couche à 21h.
3- Parlez à une nouvelle personne chaque jour. C'est terriblement inconfortable mais si vous voulez développer vos affaires ça passe par un être humain. Plus vous aurez l'habitude d'aller vers les gens, moins vous aurez peur. Faites en sorte de savoir vendre. La vente = vie.
4- Regardez chaque centime. Dans chaque entreprise nous gérons au cent près. Les grandes fortunes ne dépensent pas elles investissent. Ne dépensez pas. Ce n'est pas parce que votre entreprise fait un gros chiffre d'affaire qu'il faut changer cela. Je ne suis pas en train de dire qu'il ne faut pas donner, partager. Mais dans les affaires, un cent c'est un cent. Ce n'est pas une attitude de pingre, négative. Évitez les frais inutiles
5- Vérifiez tout ce que vous mangez. Mangez uniquement des aliments vivants, gorgés d'eau, beaucoup de légumes. Concombre, poivrons, choux. Toutes les grandes réussites contrôlent leur nourriture. Maintenez cerveau poumons cœur au niveau d'énergie maximum.
6- Prenez l'habitude de prendre la parole en public. C'est très désagréable pour certains. Faites-le très souvent. Prenez l'habitude de le faire pour que cela devienne simple.
7- Soyez mono-tâche. Prenez une idée, travaillez la et une à la fois et focalisez-vous sur une seule chose à la fois. Ne regardez pas le courriel, ne téléphonez pas, restez concentré. C'est un des pires dangers de l'auto-entrepreneuriat ou de parent isolé. Quand vous êtes avec un client, ou que vous écrivez un email, plus rien d'autre ne doit compter. Quand je parle à mes enfants, je ne fais que cela.
8- Embrassez des défis qui vous dépassent. Si vous écoutez la plupart des gens ils vont vous dire "arrête de rêver en couleur". Si vous avez envie de vivre la vie de la moyenne des gens vous aurez les mêmes résultats avec les mêmes habitudes. Ce que je trouve inconvenable c'est de dire je veux plus mais en gardant les mêmes habitudes, avec des habitudes conformes à la masse, à la moyenne. Accomplissez l'impossible. Ce qui me déprime c'est de voir des coachs qui conseillent à leur clients des petits buts,. C'est le parcours qui fera grandir ton client, pas le but. Si il a grandi, s'il a perdu 15 kg au lieu de 25 ce n'est pas ça qui est important c'est qu'il ait progressé et qu'il soit heureux.
Je vous souhaite d'en baver mais de récolter les fruits de votre labeur, de récolter des fruits différents. Tu veux des fruits différents, nourris tes racines différemment mais ne vient pas chercher les raisons de ton échec à l'extérieur de toi. Pas d'excuses.
