Gadot (Hebrew: גָּדוֹת‎‎, lit. Banks) is a kibbutz in northern Israel. Located in the Hula Valley, it falls under the jurisdiction of Upper Galilee Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 381.

Founded in 1949 by Nahal youth from HaNoar HaOved VeHaLomed and Holocaust survivors who emigrated to Israel. It was named Gadot due its proximity to the banks of the Jordan River.

During the 1950s and 1960s the kibbutz suffered from several assaults by the Syrian army and was hit by many artillery bombardments. On 7 April 1967, when 6 Syrian MiGs were shot down, the kibbutz suffered a severe bombardment during which almost all of its buildings were hit. Two months later, during the Six-Day War, the kibbutz was once again bombarded and most of its buildings were destroyed or badly damaged. The state of the kibbutz and the turn-point of the war are perpetuated in a song performed by Hava Alberstein - Daughter are you laughing or crying. During the Yom Kippur War the kibbutz was hit once again, although to a lesser extent.

Gal Gadot (Hebrew: גל גדות‎; born April 30, 1985) is an Israeli actress and model. She won the Miss Israel title in 2004 and went on to represent Israel at the 2004 Miss Universe beauty pageant. Gadot is known for her role as Gisele Yashar in Fast & Furious and Fast Five.

In 2007, she took a part in the Maxim photo shoot "Women of the Israeli army", which focused on Israeli models who were members of the Israeli Army. Gal's photo was on the invitation to the launch party for the controversial issue, and featured on the cover of the New York Post. In 2008, Gadot performed the lead role on the Israeli drama Bubot ("Dolls"). She was also chosen to be the leading model of Castro, one of the largest Israeli clothing brands. Her height is 175 cm (5'9").

Gadot appeared in Fast & Furious alongside co-stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, having beaten six other actresses to the role. In 2010, Gadot had a small role in the action-adventure Knight and Day, starring alongside Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. In the film, she played Naomi, a henchwoman to Tom Cruise's enemy. Earlier in the same year, she had a small role in the movie Date Night as Natanya, Holbrooke's (Mark Wahlberg) Israeli girlfriend. April 2011 brought her back to the The Fast & the Furious franchise, reprising her character in Fast Five.

Benjamin Géza Affleck-Boldt (born August 15, 1972), better known as Ben Affleck, is an American actor, film director, writer, and producer. He became known with his performances in Kevin Smith's films such as Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997), and Dogma (1999). Affleck won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for the screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1997), which he co-wrote with Matt Damon, and has appeared in lead roles in such popular hits as Armageddon (1998), Pearl Harbor (2001), Changing Lanes (2002), The Sum of All Fears (2002), Daredevil (2003), Hollywoodland (2007) and State of Play (2009).

Affleck is a critically acclaimed filmmaker. He directed Gone Baby Gone (2007) and The Town (2010), playing the lead in the latter. He has worked with his younger brother, actor Casey Affleck, on several projects, including Good Will Hunting and Gone Baby Gone.

Affleck has been married to Jennifer Garner since June 2005. They have two daughters, Violet and Seraphina, and a son, Samuel. He dated the actress Gwyneth Paltrow in 1998. His relationship with actress/singer Jennifer Lopez attracted worldwide media attention, in which Affleck and Lopez were dubbed "Bennifer". The two broke up in 2004.
