PAN-YOUTH CALLS: TALK OF THE NATION
---
The Pan Afrikanism ideology had then gave birth to other ideologies, such as
Black Consciousness Movement and Garveyism that promote collective self-reliance as well as to "unify and uplift" people of
African descent.
Decades later, what has Pan Afrikanism achieved to do, did
Black Consciousness manage to undo the injustices of slavery, colonialism and apartheid?
To elaborate more on this:
- Dr
Julius Garvey, the son of Dr
Marcus Garvey
- Dr
Allen Herman an Associate of
Steve Biko
- Uazuva Kaumbi the former
Chairperson of Pan
Afrika Centre of
Namibia ( PACON)
---
As the call lines opened, the first caller was
Job Amupanda, the
Leader of the
Affirmative Repositioning movement.
His views reflected (not the exact words):
"If the youth are the leaders of tomorrow, then our elder leaders should listen to what the youth has to say and give them a chance to do something and prove that they are capable of taking over leadership."
---
The last caller was, yours truly: ENKO Ndemuweda, the
Founder of Conscious Communiversity.
My views reflected:
"I wish to share my contribution, giving emphasis to Dr. Garvey's
point, that the education system is the tool we can use to build young Pan-Africanists.
The Namibian education system is failing the youth, as they do not teach
African philosophy in schools or textbooks.
The knowledge that would give young Africans a sense of identity, and the importance of knowing our
Ancestral lineage.
Because there's absolutely no such thing as
Europeans giving any sort of civilization to Africans (which is what they teach), for we lived a civilization for hundreds of years before we knew there was a
European in the world."
---
Due to time constraints, the callers had to keep their message as short and brief as possible.
But the two above-mentioned youth activists have more than just complaints to air, they also have solutions to the issues and concerns they pointed out.
*** Affirmative Repositioning:
- Mass movement to secure land for youth
-
Voice of the voiceless in social injustice
-
Running Nationwide Consortiums
(An initiative that is organizing unemployed youth to get them employed through
Government projects and/or Tenders)
*** Conscious Communiversity:
- Re-educates the youth on African
Origins, to liberate them from mental-enslavements and root out #GossipHistory for #FactualHistory
- Running a 25
000 Graduates campaign
(An initiative that is organizing unemployed graduates to get the employed through the Harambee
Prosperity Plan projects)
---
This is all in the spirit of #YouthEmpowerment and preparations for a better tomorrow.
Because the youth wishes to do something today, that the youth of tomorrow will be greatful for, and sequentially work on.
---
Back to the point, Conscious Communiversity was established primarily to re-educate and institutionalize our people with knowledge that has been suppressed, especially the
Ancient African Origins.
In this new type of colonization, the enslavement of the mind, Conscious Communiversity believes and will ensure that we (Africans) deal with and control our relationship with other people of the world and the fact that we created peaceful nations that had no word for "jail" cos no one ever had to go to one; no word for "orphanages" cos no woman ever thrown away any babies; no word for "old-age-home" cos no family ever thrown away
Grandma and
Grandpa.
We lived in such a society, and it was after centuries, after half of human civilization, before we knew that a European was in the world.
Before they wore a shoe, or lived in a house with a window, we already live civilized for hundreds of years.
Africa has always and still is the prize for the whole world, we have always been the world's richest people. Cultural rich!
Mineral rich!!
We have to be careful because we have always been the prize because we have always had, and still have, something that other people want, think they can't do without, but don't care to pay for.
However, this is an evil-Foreign culture that we do not wish to be perpetuated into the next generation.
