Islamic India: History of (now Indian Occupied) Hyderabad
Please read the following links on the history of Hyderabad and its illegal occupation by India: Book: Muslims in the Deccan: A Historical Survey By Omar Khalidi, Global Media. Sometime back, Japan apologized for its aggression during World War II. Then there was the Indian prime minister who begged forgiveness for the anti-Sikh riots of 1984. And now Omar Khalidi, has sought apology from the Indian government to Muslims, especially those of the erstwhile Hyderabad state, for the excesses committed by the armed gangs under the control of its coercive agencies in September-December 1948. According to him, over 2 lakh Muslims were eliminated following the Indian army's invasion of Hyderabad. Though code-named Operation Polo, the Indian establishment calls the operation during the annexation of Hyderabad a 'police action'. Dubbing the massacre a 'hidden Holocaust' the author questions India's stony silence on and denial of the genocide. Khalidi says, It is reminiscent of the Nazi denial in the case of the Jews and the more recent Serb denial in the case of Bosnian Muslims'. According to the book, when the Indian military invasion ended in Hyderabad's collapse on September 18, 1948, Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru went on All India Radio to announce the end of police action'. Khalidi feels that Nehru wanted to hoodwink the world into believing that India, after the assassination of Gandhi, was still following the ideals of non-violence. Hyderabad joins India - September 1948
"If you threaten us with violence, swords will be met with swords". Sardar Patel's words indicated the temperature of India's relationship with the State of Hyderabad. Under the provisions of the Indian Independence Act, 1947, princely states had a choice between acceding to Pakistan, acceding to India, and remaining independent. As of July 1948, 561 out of the 562 princely states had either joined India or Pakistan. Hyderabad however, held on to its position. The Nizam of Hyderabad however, refused to merge Hyderabad with the Indian Union and the Razakars, the private army of the Nizam, turned hostile to the Union of India, vowing to hoist the Asafia flag (the flag of the Hyderabad State) on the Red Fort in Delhi. The army terrorised the majority community of the State. With its own railways, postal system, and currency, Hyderabad was a modern princely state. The Nizam of Hyderabad was the richest man in the world. The State of Hyderabad also had a landmass larger than England and Scotland put together, and its total domestic production was greater than that of Belgium. Unlike Kashmir, Hyderabad had a majority Hindu population and the ruler was Muslim. The people of Hyderabad wanted to join India but the ruler was against that. In September 1947 the Nizam approached Pakistan, but the geographical position made the direct involvement of the latter difficult. After this, the Nizam approached the British emperor in 1948 and offered to remain a dominion under the ...

"operation Kashmir"- IAF Indian Air Force
Operation Polo or Operation KAshmir. In 1948, pakistan got jealous that the state declined to join pakistan and instead, joined India. pakistan tried to take Kashmir by force. it invaded Kashmir, only to be defeated by Indian Forces. When Indian Army got the "go ahead", they freed most of Kashmir with inflitrators and pakistani terrorists and waved the Indian Tricolor once again. Not just 48, but also in 1965 and 1999, pakistan tried to take Kashmir from India with the help of their so called Islamic Jihadis but they forgot that there are more Muslims in India the in pakistan and pakistan, lost again, well, losing seems like their tradition, ain't it??

Hyderabad - One of the Beautiful Cities in India
Hyderabad (Listeni/ˈhaɪdərəbæd/) is the capital and largest city of the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It occupies 650 square kilometres (250 sq mi) on the banks of the Musi River. Its population is 6.8 million, and its metropolitan area increases that number to 7.75 million people, making it India's fourth most populous city and sixth most populous urban agglomeration. Hyderabad was established in 1591 CE as Bhaganagar by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, fifth sultan of the Qutb Shahi dynasty of Golkonda. It remained under the rule of the Qutb Shahi dynasty until 1687, when Mughal emperor Aurangzeb conquered the region and the city became part of the Mughal empire. In 1724 Asif Jah I, a Mughal viceroy, declared his sovereignty and formed the Asif Jahi dynasty, also known as the Nizams of Hyderabad. The Nizams ruled the princely state of Hyderabad in a subsidiary alliance with the British Raj for more than two centuries. The city remained the princely state's capital from 1769 to 1948, when the Nizam signed an Instrument of Accession with the Indian Union at the conclusion of Operation Polo. The 1956 States Reorganisation Act established the modern state of Andhra Pradesh, with Hyderabad as its capital. Throughout its history, the city was a centre for local traditions in art, literature, architecture and cuisine. It is a tourist destination and has many places of interest, including Chowmahalla Palace, Charminar and Golkonda fort. It has several museums, bazaars ...

Telangana Protest - Agitation Music Video 1 (Must See)
Historically, Telangana was ruled directly by the brutal nizam while andhra was ruled by the british. The peasants of the land formed a resistence known today as the maoists to rebel against the nizam from 1946-51. In 1948, the indian army launched operation polo and rescued telangana from the nizams. In 1953, the SRC, which was appointed to create states based on lingusitic lines, incredebly voiced it's disapproval and was against the merger of telangana with andhra. Telangana under nizam remained very backward while andhra's case was totally opposite. Andhra's wanted telangana to join but telanganas hesitated. The recommendations of SRC were ignored and the two regions were merged. Jawaharlal Nehru feared a tint of expansionist imperialism on andhra's side. Violent riots erupted in telangana in 1969 on claims of discrimination. Andhra politicians cooked up stories of naxals and got permission from the centre to crush the agitation by force and in the process, it committed one of the greatest massacres in indian history. The police opened fire on a crowd resulting in the deaths of 370 people including women and children. The history of Telangana after Indias Independence is riddled with false promises and betrayals. Telangana people are left with no option they have tried the electoral, democratic and legal routes all of them failed. They seek a new state within the legal confines of Indian Constitution. HYDERABAD DECCAN -------------------------------- Hyderabad is the capital of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the banks of the Musa River in the Deccan Plateau in southern India. The city has an area of 850 square kilometres (380 sq mi) with a population of 8.7 million, and the metropolitan area contains 9.7 million residents, making it the fourth most populous city and the 4th most populous urban agglomeration in the country. As of 2011, the city had per capita annual income of Indian rupee 74300. The city was expanded in 2007 to form the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. As a growing metropolitan city in a developing country, Hyderabad confronts substantial urban pollution, traffic congestion, overpopulation and other logistic and socio-economic problems. Hyderabad was established in 1591 CE by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah and fell under the rule of the Qutb Shahi dynasty until 1687 when Mughal emperor Aurangzeb conquered the sultanate, and the city became part of the Deccan province of the Mughal empire. In 1724 Asif Jah I, a Mughal viceroy, declared his sovereignty and formed the Asif Jahi dynasty, also known as the Nizams of Hyderabad. The Nizams ruled the princely state of Hyderabad for more than two centuries, under subsidiary alliance with the British Raj. Road Back to the Frozen Four (69 minutes)
History
[edit]Partridge and his academy
The university was founded in 1819 at Norwich by military educator and former superintendent of West Point, Captain Alden B. Partridge. Captain Partridge believed in the "American System of Education," a traditional liberal arts curriculum with instruction in civil engineering and military science. After leaving West Point because of congressional disapproval of his system, he returned to his native state of Vermont to create the American Literary, Scientific and Military Academy. Captain Partridge, in founding his academy, rebelled against the reforms of Sylvanus Thayer to prevent the rise of what he saw as the greatest threat to the security of the young republic: a professional officer class. He believed that a well-trained militia was an urgent necessity and developed the American system around that idea. His academy became the inspiration for a number of military colleges throughout the nation, including both the Virginia Military Institute and The Citadel, and later the land grant colleges created through the Morrill Act of 1862.[4]
Partridge's educational beliefs were considered radical at the time, and this led to his conflicting views with the federal government while he was the superintendent of West Point. Upon creation of his own school, he immediately incorporated classes of agriculture and modern languages in addition to the sciences, liberal arts, and various military subjects. Field exercises, for which Partridge borrowed cannon and muskets from the federal and state governments, supplemented classroom instruction and added an element of realism to the college’s program of well-rounded military education.
Partridge founded six other military institutions during his quest to reform the fledgling United States military. They were the Virginia Literary, Scientific and Military Academy at Portsmouth, Virginia (1839–1846), Pennsylvania Literary, Scientific, and Military Academy at Bristol, Pennsylvania (1842–1845), Pennsylvania Military Institute at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (1845–1848), Wilmington Literary, Scientific and Military Academy at Wilmington, Delaware (1846–1848), the Scientific and Military Collegiate Institute at Reading, Pennsylvania (1850–1854), Gymnasium and Military Institute at Pembroke, New Hampshire (1850–1853) and the National Scientific and Military Academy at Brandywine Springs, Delaware (1853).[5]
[edit]Fire and hardship: Norwich in the 19th century
In 1825 the academy moved to Middletown, Connecticut, to provide better naval training to the school's growing corps of cadets. In 1829, the state of Connecticut declined to grant Captain Partridge a charter and he moved the school back to Norwich (the Middletown campus became Wesleyan University in 1831). Beginning in 1826, the college offered the first program of courses in civil engineering in the US. In 1834 Vermont granted a charter and recognized the institution as Norwich University. During the 1856 academic year, the first chapter of the Theta Chi Fraternity was founded by cadets Frederick Norton Freeman and Arthur Chase. With the beginning of the Civil War in 1861, Norwich cadets served as instructors of the state militias throughout the Northeast and the entire class of 1862 enlisted upon its graduation. Norwich turned out hundreds of officers and soldiers who served with the federal armies in the American Civil War, including four recipients of the Medal of Honor. One graduate led a corps, seven more headed divisions, 21 commanded brigades, 38 led regiments, and various alumni served in 131 different regimental organizations. In addition, these men were eyewitnesses to some of the war's most dramatic events, including the bloodiest day of the conflict at Antietam, the attack up Marye's Heights at Fredericksburg, and the repulse of Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg. Seven hundred and fifty Norwich men served in the Civil War, of whom sixty fought for the Confederacy.[6] Because of the university's participation in the struggle, the number of students dwindled to seven in the class of 1864 alone.
The Confederate raid on St. Albans, Vermont precipitated fear that Newport, Vermont was an imminent target. The corps quickly boarded an express train for Newport, the same day, October 19, 1864, to the great relief of the inhabitants.
After a catastrophic fire in 1866 which devastated the entire campus, the town of Northfield welcomed the struggling school. The Civil War, the fire, and the uncertainty regarding the continuation of the University seriously lowered the attendance, and the school opened in the fall of 1866 with only 19 students. The 1870s and 1880s saw many financially turbulent times for the institution and the renaming of the school to Lewis College in 1880. In 1881 the student body was reduced to only a dozen men. Later, by 1884, the Vermont Legislature had the name of the school changed back to Norwich. In 1898 the university was designated as the Military

Cooling System Operation Maintenance VW Golf MK3 Engine
To drain coolant: 1. Cabin heat knob on hot, ignition key on start (engine off). Blower fan on low. 2. Remove coolant fill cap. Disconnect lower Radiator hose. Let coolant drain. 3. Remove accessories to access and remove thermostat. 4. Reassemble system and fill coolant mixture containing 50% water and 50% antifreeze. Start engine, heat on max with blower on, and keep filling coolant and squeezing hoses until coolant remains full at max mark. Parts of coolant system are: 1. Water pump 2. Thermostat 3. Radiator and Radiator Fan with Thermostatic switch 4. Hoses 5. Coolant reservoir / expansion tank 6. Pressure Cap 7. Heater Core (inside dash) 8. Antifreeze + Water = Coolant This thermostat opens at 190*F. Most Thermostats are 180 or 190*F. The Thermostat is fully open at 20*F higher than rated temperature. Every 1psi that pressure on water increases you get approximately 3*F rise in water's boiling point. Water boils at 212*F or 100*C at sea level air pressure or 0 psi gauge pressure.
