[TROLL VIDEO] THE BATTLE: VEGAN VS OMNIVORE
PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING / HATING
An OMNIVORE or
OMNI is a person who derives his or her energy from a variety of different sources, such as meat, dairy, eggs, plants, and starches, among others.
A VEGAN is a person who derives all of his or her energy from plant sources, such as fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, starches, legumes, beans, sprouts, nuts, and seeds.
I have been a (high carb) vegan for two years now and besides overcoming my (six years) eating disorder I experienced a range of other benefits and recognised typical behaviours:
1.
FOOD: Vegans always seem to ask for ingredients. Of course, all vegans are trying to avoid any meat or dairy in their food. That it makes us seem a little overcautious and paranoid is only one of the side effects.
2. SHOPPING: Vegans do have a hard(er) time grocery shopping than omnivores do - you may think! However, I find it a lot easier to just go to an all vegan store, or get my fresh produce from a normal supermarket and skip all the processed and junk food racks and go straight to the cashier.
3.
SPORT: That’s a mean one, but I must say that my health and fitness improved tremendously. I have always been a sporty type of person, but being a high carb vegan cyclist/runner/yogi/swimmer/mountainclimber/etc makes it so much easier because of more energy, free arteries for superb blood supply to body cells, higher endurance, and a quicker recovery.
4. BEAUTY: This is a tricky one as it will probably apply to only a few vegans. I am not only taking care of what I put into my body but also what I put ON my body.
Check out my face cleansing video for more info. In a nutshell though, I feel pretty without fancy make up and expensive lotions, loving my inner beauty!
5. THE BUSINESS: Yup, going vegan makes your digestion run super smooth! That means no more butt muscle training on the toilet…
6. GOING OUT #1:
Something I haven’t done in quite a long time. I stopped drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes/hookah, and doing drugs here and there. I still love dancing but also started to listen to my body and appreciate sleep a lot more!
7. GOING OUT #2: Yup, I love me some sleep and early Saturday mornings. Oh, and yoga is SO vegan! :P (but hey, in yesterday's vlog I actually went out dancing!)
8. TALKING: Of course, your attitude to life affects what you are talking about. Meaningful shit like health and well-being, or BS topics like money and materialism?
9.
FREE TIME: Yaaaa, I used to spend my free time watching TV, playing computer games, and doing sports (at least one good hobby). Now I enjoy meaningful stuff again that makes me healthier and stronger.
10. CHRISTMAS (MATERIALISM / GRATITUDE):
First of all, I stopped giving a shit about
Christmas, birthdays, and any other oh so special day. I appreciate friendships and family relationships that go beyond giving gifts and having a good time only on those special days. Christmas for me is every day, I love giving, to others and to myself. That means, I rather help someone out with my experience than giving materialistic nonsense.
So, thanks for reading and watching.
Remember,
I’ve been omni before and making fun here both of vegans and omnivores. Veganism helped me improve my life though:
The body and the mind, in balance with nature and the planet.
Thanks for watching!
