Jack Knight (born July 13, 1952) is a renowned political scientist and legal theorist. His academic contributions are about political, social, and law theory. He is currently a professor of politics, philosophy and economics at Duke University School of Law and at the Duke's Trinity College of Arts and Sciences. He is the author of several books such as Institutions and Social Conflict (Cambridge University Press, 1992), Explaining Social Institutions (The University of Michigan Press, 1995), and The Choices Justices Make (Congressional Quarterly Press, 1997) with which he won the American Political Science Association C. Herman Prichett Award. He has also written plenty of journal articles and edited volumes about democratic theory, rules of law, judicial decision-making, and theories of institutional emergence and change. He has collaborated as a professor and researcher in universities at Washington, Chicago, Michigan, Virginia, Copenhagen, and Bonn.
Jack 'Cracker' Knight (21 November 1912 – 17 July 1976) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood and both played for and coached St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
A ruckman from South Bendigo, Knight wasn't selected in Collingwood's 1935 premiership team despite playing in the Preliminary Final. He made up for it by participating in the 1936 Grand Final, where he played in a forward pocket and kicked a goal in the win. Disappointment followed in 1937 when a six-week suspension for striking Ron Baggott of Melbourne in the Prelim cost him another Grand Final place but he would appear in the next two season's premiership deciders. Knight transferred to St Kilda in 1941 as captain-coach but the club struggled and although he stayed on for another season, it was as a player only.

Genres: Comedy, Short,I've got my favourite pair of creps on
The ones with golden samaris sewn on
Each step is skipped when they are thrown on
Feet are swift so I bowl on

The one I got one day with my Dad
We watched the planes loop and the clouds sag
The sky was filled with smoke drag
Of course i know that these are all for show
To decorate my limbs and let me know
That through these things a constant love will flow
With them we are not on our own
I've got my favourite Westwood coat on
The one from Alice who I dote on
I am a pirate and I float on
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum
Of course i know that these are all for show
To decorate my limbs and let me know
That through these things a constant love will flow
With them were are not on our own
