Message of PAME for the Success of the 17th World Trade Union Congress of WFTU in South Africa

Dear comrades of WFTU from all over the world Dear comrades of WFTU in South Africa, Who are preparing to host the 17th World Trade Union Congress, From Greece, from the class trade union movement of Greece, PAME that we had the honor to host the 16th World Congress, we send you warm, militant greetings and wishes for the success of the WFTU Congress. The Workers in every corner of the world face the brutal attack of the capitalists. Same is the situation in Greece, where the working class suffers a series of anti-workers measures, while at the same time we witness the consequences of the imperialist interventions in our region, we witness the suffering of thousands of refugees. Against these developments, the workers of Greece have organized dozens of strikes, actions, demonstrations and the struggle continues! In all these struggles we always had the solid, class, internationalist solidarity of WFTU and its affiliate trade unions from all over the world. Special was the warm and multiform support from the trade unions of WFTU in South Africa. The next period, the international workers’ movement will have to face new challenges, new duties. In this context, the World Trade Union Congress can give great support to the struggles of the international working class, to the strengthening of Internationalism and Class Solidarity.
