Biography
Cassie Campbell was a member of Canada's National Women's Hockey team for 13 years and captained two teams to Olympic gold medals, at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Game, and 2006 Torino Winter Olympic Games. The team won the silver medal at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympic Games. She won six World Women's Hockey Championship gold medals: 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2004. She won three National Women's Hockey League titles including two with the Calgary Oval X-Treme in 2003 and 2004. Cassie won three gold medals at the Esso Women's National Championships in 2000, 2001, and 2003.
At age five, Cassie Campbell laced up her first pair of skates. As the former Captain of Canada’s National Women’s Hockey Team and a heroine of Canadian sport, she has taken part in three Winter Olympic Games, seven International Ice Hockey Federation World Women’s Championships, nine Four Nations Cups and the Torino Ice Tournament.
Campbell is the only captain, male or female, to lead Canada to two Olympic gold medals, and she is the longest serving captain in Canadian hockey history. Her teams have won 21 medals in total - 17 gold medals and four silver medals.
Campbell joined Hockey Night in Canada as a rinkside reporter after retiring from professional hockey in August 2006. On October 14, 2006 she became the first woman to do colour commentary on a Hockey Night in Canada broadcast.

Cassie Campbell, one of the most successful and recognized players in women's hockey, holds 21 medals from Olympic, international and national championships - 17 of them gold. She is the first woman to provide colour commentary for CBC's Hockey Night in Canada.
During Opening of the Community Centre, Cassie Campbell said: "Growing up in Brampton and going to community centres to play sports, I know first hand how important this facility will be, especially for our youth, and for that I am extremely proud."
The Cassie Campbell Community Centre is part of the City's Making Great Things Happen initiative, which brings to citizens two new community centres and two renovated and expanded recreation centres as part of a $120 million capital program.

Cassie Campbell-Pascall (born November 22, 1973) is a former Canadian female ice hockey player. She was the captain of the Canadian ice hockey team during the 2002 Winter Olympics and led the team to a gold medal. The left winger took on the role of captain again in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, and again successfully led her team to the Gold Medal with a 4 – 1 win over Sweden.
Cassie was also captain of the Calgary Oval X-Treme, a team in the Western Women's Hockey League. Campbell has also played for the Toronto Aeros and the Mississauga Chiefs.
She has done modeling, and hosted women's hockey segments on TSN's hockey broadcasts. She attended high school at North Park Secondary School and is an alumna of the University of Guelph, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Her charity work among communities in the greater Toronto area has been well received, and she is known as a great role model and humanitarian.
During the 2010 Winter Olympics, Campbell provided colour commentary for women's hockey.

During Opening of the Community Centre, Cassie Campbell said: "Growing up in Brampton and going to community centres to play sports, I know first hand how important this facility will be, especially for our youth, and for that I am extremely proud."
The Cassie Campbell Community Centre is part of the City's Making Great Things Happen initiative, which brings to citizens two new community centres and two renovated and expanded recreation centres as part of a $120 million capital program.

In September 2008, the City of Brampton celebrated the opening of a world-class community centre named after hometown hero Cassie Campbell, a three-time Olympian and former Captain of Canada's National Women's Hockey Team.
Located at Sandalwood Parkway and Chinguacousy Road, it is the City's largest community centre at 165,000 square feet. The facility provides a broad range of athletic and leisure services for all residents of Brampton, including a citywide fitness centre, figure skating rink, hockey rink and pool. The Cassie Campbell Community Centre is also home to a new community police station.
